Hi everyone! I am thrilled to share my home with you! This Manhattan space is perfect for groups or family’s visiting NYC. Located just 2 blocks from the (2) (3) express subway line that will take you to time square, Central Park, and many more major sites in 20 minutes or less. Many nice restaurants in the area and plenty of supermarkets including Target, Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s just 3 minutes away.

It was a good location, comfortable, and the host was very attentive. You can tell they have done remodeling. Unfortunately, the adjacent apartment was noisy and smoked and it permeated our VRBO. Even after the host asked them to stop. They continued.

Fantastic stay

I had an amazing time staying here. The place was spacious and clean, I felt very safe and comfortable. The beds are excellent- very comfortable. I will be staying here again during my next trip to NY!

Excellent place!

11 of us were able to fit pretty comfortably in this apartment! It’s so close to many things including Sylvia’s! The host, Ethan, was very very responsive and accommodating. He allowed us to drop off our bags early. I would recommend!

The property was clean and as described with a couple minor nuances. However, it’s too small for eight adults when you’re in the unit hanging out.

Spacious house for 5-6 people

House is spacious, 5 of us stayed here for 4 nights. Keep in mind that it is very basic though - no amenities, I had to ask for shampoo, toilet paper etc. ACs in the bedrooms worked, but kitchen and living rooms were warm. It wasn’t too bad, as we kept the bedroom doors opened. Host is easy to communicate and they promptly soap/shampoo/toilet paper when I asked.

Amazing rental!

The flat was perfect for our group! The rooms are clean with plenty of space for everyone. Ethan was an awesome host. He answered my messages very quickly and was extremely patient and gracious. Thank you for your awesomeness, Ethan!

Property as pictured. One of the shower head was lose and it sprayed water up the ceilings but we were able to troubleshoot it ourselves. I would bring your own shampoo and body wash as the bathroom amenities are trial size god for two washes at best. It’s a basement unit so it’s quite noisy to street activities especially if sleeping in the bedrooms facing the streets. AC only in bedrooms not in common area. Outside of that convenient to subway and local restaurants and pubs.

Family trip to NYC

We really enjoyed or stay! It is close to subway, restaurants and market. With the size of group it was roomy enough for all 7 of us, one of the only properties in our price range with 2 bathrooms. Bonus: several full size mirrors outside of the bathroom! Communication with our host was top notch.

We had a little bit of an issue upon check-in but Ethan was extremely responsive and took care of all of our concerns immediately.Overall, a great experience.

Birthday Weekend in the Bronx

This was a special girls' trip to celebrate a birthday and bonding. We had lots of space in a lovely brownstone on lively block. Incredibly comfortable beds, every surface was very clean. The apartment is walking distance to everything you'd need, restaurants, including Syliva's Restaurant, bodegas, a very convenient TJ Maxx and CVS, the Metro (I forget which stop). A short trip to Manhattan by car. It's such a perfect space. Central to anything you'd like to see or experience. Our host was accommodating and immediately responsive. I'd like to return again for an extended stay soon.

Niece’s Alvin Ailey Performance

With the 4 bedrooms the accommodation for 9 was perfect. We were allowed to drop off our luggage early while we explored the neighborhood. Upon returning we noticed there were not enough towels for the guests however with one contact to the host that issue was resolved. The heating system had been cut off for the spring so our rooms were a little chilly however once again our host quickly provided 4 space heaters. The property manager was very welcoming, introducing herself and providing dining and sightseeing information. Transportation to and from LaGuardia Airport was free just a 5 minute walk to the bus stop.Now who doesn’t love FREE! Great location to everything we needed. The only disappointment was I didn’t check for TV’s and there was only 1 located in one of the bedrooms that we all had to share and that was on me and again why go on vacation to watch TV. Other than the TV shortage a GREAT place to stay while in NewYork. Highly Recommend.

I never expect perfection no matter where I stay when I travel. However, when staying at a rental property there is something’s that should be the standard. When I first arrived I notice that the house wasn’t the cleanest. One bedroom had beer can still left and the window and we didn’t touch it so its still there, trash behind the couch, one of the bathroom’s toilets had been used prior to our arrival and left there tracks behind, the other bathroom sink water flow was very minimal; I contacted Ethan about this but it wasn’t addressed until Saturday after I contacted him again, there was a roach on the floor in one of the bedrooms and mosquitoes throughout our stay. I’m use to extra trash bags and cleaning supplies being available to use, there were none. The pillows on the bed definitely need replacing as they are SUPER flat. I requested an ironing board but two irons were delivered. I contacted Ethan a few times and he didn’t respond until I told him that I needed to speak w/him ASAP due to the maintenance guy knocking on the door after 11pm asking to be let in to get materials he left. Due to the peep hole being painted over we could not see who it was. The most upsetting part was that he had access to the code to enter the first door w/out me being notified. While outside the property is out of Ethan’s control, please be prepared for the rats as you walk to and fro the property. There are small things that are easy fixes for a better experience.

This 4/2 apartment in Harlem was perfect for our group of seven to spend a couple of days before leaving on a cruise out of Brooklyn. The living spaces, though compact, were clean, comfortable, and nicely appointed. The neighborhood was charming, with narrow tree-lined streets and convenient access to dining, the subway, and groceries. Sylvia’s is just around the corner—we loved it so much we ate there twice!The spiral staircase to nowhere was odd and not explained in the listing. My guess is that it used to be part of a multi-level home that was divided into separate apartments. The upstairs neighbors were separated from us only by a thin barrier, so we could hear them moving around and talking as if they were in the same room. Someone upstairs also smoked a lot of marijuana, and the smell drifted into our unit throughout our stay.A few minor improvements could really boost Ethan’s rating. Most rentals provide a binder with check-in/check-out info, Wi-Fi details, and local recommendations, but none was available. The listing also mentioned soap and shampoo, but there were none. On our last day, we ran out of toilet paper, and when I texted Ethan, his reply was simply, “I guess we’re out.” For a group of seven, extra rolls would have been helpful.All in all, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the chance to experience a true New York neighborhood. Thank you, Ethan, for allowing us to stay in your home.

This stay was absolutely perfect. The host made sure everything was prepped and cleaned before we arrived. The space was exactly as advertised. During our stay, the host was responsive to any and everything we needed. I highly recommend choosing this place if you are visiting the city as it is not far from the train and in a quiet place. 10/10. Highly recommend.

Ethan was very responsive as a host. The apartment was a decent size for our group of 8, considering you're in NYC. The neighborhood is not the worst or the best. We were surprised that the original house was split up into different apartments. The door that divides the 2 different apartments in the living room either had loud music coming from it or marijuana smoke. There is a spiral staircase that goes nowhere. The upstairs is blocked off because it's part of a different apartment. The only thing separating the two is a piece of plywood. These things made it awkward to feel comfortable and for privacy. The apartment would be much better with some permanent fixes to the divided spaces.
