Linda’s property was perfect for our week at All Star Village and only a 10-15 minute drive from the baseball field. Although we didn’t spend much time at the house during the day it was a great space. The yard would be perfect to hang out in and play some wiffle ball. The house was stocked with everything we needed. I would highly recommend drakes escape!

The house was as described. There was plenty of room for four adults. There were adequate number of towels and bedding. The kitchen and upstairs bathroom was spacious.

House close to ASV

Great stay while our son played as ASV. Linda was very responsive and communicative. The neighborhood was a little older and across some railroad track/industrial area but was very quiet. Had some ants show up on the kitchen counter unfortunately. Lots of antique furniture.

Home away from home

This rental property was the perfect home base for us during our time at CASV. It was about 12-13 minutes away from the fields, centrally located to grocery & dining and a comfortable and CLEAN home. The owner is a wonderful communicator and is very welcoming. We hosted a team gathering after our elimination game and it was so convenient to use the BBQ’s, covered patio, basketball net & huge yard for wiffle ball. Our host also had chairs, coolers & wagons for additional rental to make those long game days more comfortable. There isn’t must down time during baseball week, but it was so lovely to come back to a cozy home and full kitchen to prepare home cooked meals off the field. Thank you so much, Drakes Escape!

Cooperstown All Star Village

The property was as described and fit our needs perfectly. Plenty of space to utilize for a family and easy drive to the ballpark. Owner Linda does an awesome job of communicating!

Great Spot for All Star Village

The house was great for the 4 of us during the All Star Village tournament, and had room for the 5th once he was done playing. The outdoor space was good for whiffleball and football for the kids. Linda was great, very responsive.

Great home in Oneonta and close to Cooperstown

Great home and the pavillion was such a nice add on for a team gathering! Parks and restaurants were also close by and Linda is a fantastic host!

Drake residence

Had a great stay here for my son’s baseball tournament. Convenient location. Linda was awesome to work with. Would highly recommend the house and would definitely stay there again.

Oneonta Thanksgiving 2023

We traveled from the Pacific Coast to visit future family for Thanksgiving. The home was just what we needed for a group of four. We used the kitchen to help prepare dishes for the meal. Great place.

Drake's Escape was a nice stay

We enjoyed our time at Drake's Escape. I stayed with my children and grandparents for my son's tournament week at All Star Village. The property was as pictured and very clean. Linda was easy to work with. We were able to drive to the fields in about 10-12 minutes. We loved watching the storms from the porches.

Great stay!

We stayed here with our 3 younger kids while our oldest played at All Star Village. It was a close drive to ball fields (10ish minutes) and near restaurants, grocery store, Dick's (in case your son forgets his belts too!) etc. Due to the baseball schedule and rain we didn't get to explore the town much but ice cream at Adaline's was delicious and pizza/food at Nina's was yummy. Had some sushi from Tokyo and it wasn't the best. We met the "neighbors" staying at the other Drake property our last day and wish we had met them sooner, but...baseball and rain! So fun to be near other families there for the same reason. Kitchen was well stocked, condiments and all. Very clean. Great yard! Linda was a great host! She was there when we checked in and when we left. Available via text - I was looking for something one evening and texted her and her daughter brought it over from across the street! So sweet! No toiletries, so bring your own shower necessities!

Last minute saviors!

Our family booked this property literally at the last minute when our original VRBO booking was not in serviceable condition. I messaged Linda our situation and within 15 minutes she answered back that she was happy to accommodate us. Within one hour of me messaging her we were moved into the property. I can't believe how easy they made it for us. The property was clean, fresh, and in the right location, only 10 minutes away from All Star Village. There is plenty of space for a team gathering on the property and Linda actually encouraged us to bring them over! Five stars for everything except communication and check-in. For those, if I could 100 stars I would. Our trip would have been spent sleeping on the floor of a teammates VRBO if it wasn't for Linda and this property! Thank you so much!!!

Fantastic property, fantastic host

The house is exactly as described, the large kitchen made meal prep a breeze and three comfortable bedrooms were the perfect resting place after long days a CASV. The property and pavilion is perfect for hosting team gatherings and some other families from the team rented the other two cabins so we used the backyard quite a bit for bbq's and hanging out. Linda and family were very welcoming and responsive. This property was perfect for our stay and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Cozy place with lots of outdoor space

This property has a lot of amenities to offer. If you think you are going to be on-site for any significant amount of time this property you will have plenty to do. Linda communicates well and is available if needed. We would definitely consider renting this property if we ever return for another stay.

Was an amazing set up for teams families to stay near each other.

The set up with the two cottages on site is awesome. We stayed in the house and had other families from The team in the cottages it worked out great for a team gathering. Tons of space for lots of families to enjoy. The house is in a great location and Linda was very helpful and was there if we needed anything. Would highly recommend this place.

We rented this property to watch my son play at All-Star Village. It was 10-15 minutes away depending on traffic. Great quiet neighborhood. Host was amazing!

My husband and I live in Oneonta. I have been a local person all my life. I went to school in Cooperstown and I went to college in Oneonta. I am a bank of information for directions and fun things to do around here. We love to travel and I have some of my photographs in the house. I hope you enjoy them.

I raised my three children in this home. We have wonderful memories that were made here. I've always welcomed everyone in my house. I hope to welcome you. I have made the home cozy and comfortable for you. Oneonta is a great place to live. I have traveled all over the world, yet, we chose to live here.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Once you wind your way down the streets to the house, one forgets that you are in the city of Oneonta. My children learned to ride bikes on the dead end street. It was a place that they could run and play outside and I didn't have to worry about them. This house was where all their friends were welcome and family happened here! My grown children are excited that I have started this project and I am opening up our home so others can enjoy it.
Oneonta and surroundings offers a lot of entertainment. Some examples are: Oneonta Tigers (minor league baseball team) games in the park down the road, two beautiful parks, Orpheus Theatre, Franklin Play Company, Glimmerglass Opera, many small lakes to visit, Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame (of course), The Farmer's Museum, The Fennimore House, and much more!!!!!!!!!
