I'm glad you took advantage of the walking trail behind the house. Yes the house has a front wall of windows and dining area has partial walls of windows. All of the openness can take some getting used to. Some find the huge amount of natural light to be the best feature of the home. To build the separate entrance to the basement apartment, I had to block off the downstairs powder room. In Boulder County to have a short term rental, it must be the owners primary residence, hence the basement apartment. Thank you for being great guests. Best Wishes.

That's a very skewed story. The 2 ladies and 1 gentleman who stayed late were in their 60's but that didn't stop them from partying until 3 am the night before. So, after their check out time which was 10 am, I found they had their belongings in the rooms. The front door was unlocked and the back sliding doors were left open. They had left the house open to theft. I messaged them on the app, texted and called Kathena and had VRBO contact her and there was no response. I initially thought they might be right back because of how they left the house, but I had no communication and hours went by. At about 5pm I hadn't heard anything and started to pack up their belongings. That's when I saw a luggage tag and called the number and got an answer. By this time, I didn't feel safe renting to them for another night because they had left the house unsecured for several hours. They claimed that they didn't know they were supposed to check out. Hmmm... so we agreed they would come pack their things and leave. Kathena called me at this time - about 5 pm - and said that she didn't have her phone on her all day. I assessed them a late check out fee and moved on. Later I found a mess on the bathroom walls and door (hint: it was from partying) that I charged $50 for. I assure you this is not OCD, it was gross. There were no agressive messages or mood swings, just matter of fact like, "Check out time was 3 hours ago", etc. All communication and room info was provided promptly.
