Chalet Melchior is a chic 6 bedroom luxury chalet arranged over 3 floors with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and a wellness area with a large hot tub. This magnificent self contained chalet with a private garden is located in a prime location minutes from the centre of Villars village.
Guests can benefit from our unrivaled and highly praised concierge service while staying in the chalet ensuring they have the best holiday possible.
Chalet Melchior is the ultimate in chalet-chic and has been decorated tastefully with ultimate comfort in mind. Our guests can enjoy great apres-ski or 'down time' with a roaring open fire in the beautiful and vast open plan sitting room with bespoke library, 50' TV, Sky, Netflix, SwisscomTV while children can enjoy the games room with second large 55' TV.
The stunning kitchen is a pleasure to spend time in with everything a professional cook should need including two 'Gaggenau' ovens, a huge 'Liebherr' fridge, a breakfast / drinks bar, gas rings, dishwasher and wine storage for up to 40 bottles. A deep double sink, stunning granite tops and panoramic views of the mountains as well as the 'home run' piste where skiers make their final descent of the day.
There is ample space around the dining table with enormous sliding glass doors onto the deep balcony with breathtaking views. A truly stunning setting for every meal.
All of the bedrooms are beautifully presented with deep pocket-sprung beds imported from England and Egyptian cotton sheets. Tastefully furnished with ample built-in storage, warm under-heated parquet floors, rustic wood and yet more stunning views to enjoy. All of the upstairs bedrooms are en suite the master bedroom also has its own stylish walk through dressing room.
Bathrooms are luxurious yet practical with either power showers or deep baths by 'Villeroy and Bosch' with fluffy white towels of course. Three further bedrooms are on the lower ground floor and a large family bathroom together with a well equipped laundry room.
There is high speed WIFI throughout the chalet and a huge garden for everyone to have fun in and explore. There is a wellness area with 6 person hot tub and total parking spaces (exterior) for 5 cars. Available to rent for short or long periods.

English family. French speaking. We have been visiting Villars for 25 years and know everything about the area. We spent 5 years living permanently in Villars with our two children and put them in a wonderful international school. We have a very efficient concierge team and travel regularly between the UK and Switzerland ensuring our business runs smoothly.
Por qué escogió este alojamiento
It is possible to ski from the back door in the winter and in the summer there are beautiful alpine walks. It is close to the local schools and in a private community, central to everything. It is very safe for children, peaceful and has stunning views of the surrounding mountains. You can even watch the skiers coming home at the end of the day down the 'home run'! There is incredible glacier skiing on the 'Diablarets Glacier 3000' and very possible to ski there and back in a day - an exhilarating experience. There is a fantastic spa with thermal baths, saunas, steam rooms etc and large pool in Villars and so much to do for our non-skiing clients.

Unlike other chalets in Villars which can be set away from the main ski domaine (be careful when booking!) both of our chalets, Chalet Melchior and Chalet Balthazar are in prime location taking all the hassle out of a holiday and leaving more time for fun. Chalet Melchior is uniquely situated in one of the most exclusive areas of Villars and just above the main super-fast 8 man telecabine.
It is possible to ski from the back door to the Roc D'Orsay telecabine in under 5 minutes making it very easy for ski school. A short walk (10 minutes) to the centre of town or an even shorter drive to pick up anything you need (but we don't think you will want to leave the chalet much!)
The level of comfort in both Melchior and Balthazar are of the highest quality and we like to think we have thought of everything to ensure you will have the best nights sleep, stay connected with high speed wifi and even have warm boots in the morning. Whether its winter / summer / spring or autumn there is always so much to do for right on the doorstep and we are here to help suggest activities for all ages.
