Incredible Location!

The home was absolutely beautiful and the location was amazing. The staff was tremendous from housekeeper, security to grounds keeper. The concierge was tremendous and recommended excellent experiences that we were all able to enjoy! I would recommend enjoying your stay in Costa Rica in this beautiful home.

The property is beautiful and well taken care of.

Would have given it a perfect rating but the hot tub was not working and was never serviced even after we mentioned it the first day we were there. Other than than, beautiful property on a beautiful beach.

Simply fantastic. The beach was perfect --- medium-sized waves for the kids to boogie-board, but shallow enough to be safe. And very, very clean. No seaweed or bugs. And almost no people!? Felt like our own private beach. The house was great. HUGE rooms. HUGE bathrooms. Well appointed. It was a fantastic week.

Property manager Kenny Segers over booked the property and cancelles on my 10 days prior to arrival

I booked the Hacienda Clark 4 mos prior to my vacation. I was informed by email 10 days prior to my arrival that the week I had rented and paid for was double booked. The property manager Kenny Segers of Special Places knew in advance he had done so hoping to have me rent another less desirable unit in the area that they could not rent out. I had to file a dispute with my credit card company to get all of my deposit back. They would not reimburse me for my flights.

What an amazing week we had

My husband an I got married at this wonderful villa on February 7th, 2017th and let me tell you it was absolutely perfect. Our guest couldn't get over how beautiful this villa is and it left a great impression with everyone. We got married on the beach, cocktails and appetizers on the patio, dinner and dancing on the grass, it had it all. We also enjoyed the whole week there with family. The villa is out of this world and situated right on the nicest stretch to beach in beautiful Playa Flamingo. This area is our favorite place in Costa Rica to date. We couldn't have picked a more perfect spot to get married. A little piece of heaven on earth. We also want to say thank you to the staff at special places for taking care of our guests accommodations at condo's in the surrounding area. Phem took care of all of our needs before arrival, even helped with tours, transportation, recommended our wonderful cook Estefania, golf cart rentals and was always available to answer all of our questions. They also showed us this beautiful villa last year when we got engaged in Costa Rica. Boy was it the right choice. We already want to plan to go back so we can actually relax and enjoy this wonder place again. Wedding week was amazing but a little busy to fully enjoy this gem of a villa and spot. Pura Vida!! A little bit of Paradise

I would like to thank Kenny and all his staff at Special Places, this wonderful home was as advertise and allows you to have a totally relaxing week. We had 5 couples staying and no one could come up with a complaint. We started out preparing our own meals, than we invited Chef Hugo over for one night, and our cooking days were over. He would arrive with what we had requested, prepare everything to your liking, than his staff would make sure you were professionally served on the open lanai with sounds of pounding waves surrounding you. By the time desert was finished, Chef Hugo had the kitchen spotless and quietly disappeared into the night, only to arrive again for another wonderful feast. Your home becomes the best restaurant in town, it is a wonderful thing, an actually less expensive. Thanks Kenny, Phem and Special Places for a truly wonderful holiday, Jim Allen

Pure Vida!

From the moment our Special Places Manager (Yannick) walked us through the property, we knew we had chosen a very special place. My children and their families (kids aged 2 1/2 to 10) found all the amenities to be fun and safe. The house is stunning - plenty of room for our brood of 8 (at one time 10) with almost all bedrooms being equal. I would suggest improvements to the 5th bedroom - a little decorating and a separate door would make it more appealing. The kitchen is well equipped - and the bbq would magically cleaned every time we used it. The pools are well thought out - a larger pool for swimming and playing, a hot tub for warming up and a splash type pool which is great for little ones. The beach is just a few steps away - crossing green lawns to get to it. Green in this arid area is a big deal! In the end - we all got teary eyed when we left - mostly because of the staff. Marlenee the daily housekeeper so sweet and efficient - like that aunty you always wanted to have. The security guards/landscapers were outstanding and we loved them all. Eric, Gravin and Alex - thank you for taking such good care of us. I've probably misspelled names - sorry! Special Places handled everything well - and arranged and made suggestions for my oldest granddaughter's birthday party which included Mariachi singers to a pinata to a fire on the beach to a private chef. I've raised the bar too far, will never be able to match that birthday party for anyone else. Playa Flamingo itself is one of the best beaches in Costa Rica from what I have seen. To fall asleep every night hearing the waves crash..... heaven..... We will go back - just a lot more of the world we want to see before. I would highly suggest this home - I have rented many through VRBO - and this was definitely one of the best I have ever seen.

Playa Flamingo Beach

Great house, great weather, great beach. We had a wonderful week. The house is large, elegantly appointed, directly on the beach, has a pool, a kiddie pool and a heated sauna. The house is advertised as 5 Bedroom, though one bedroom is rather small and plain. The others are spacious, all with their own bathroom. It is a truly great house for a family vacation. It is inside a gated community, with security service provided (but not needed in Costa Rica). Walking distance to the beach bar and restaurant and to the center of Playa Flamingo. We did not rent a car. Tours do house pickup. We hired a cook, who took care of all our food needs. Maid cleans every day. We would recommend this property. The beach has nice white, soft sand, and gentle waves great for kids. No rocks.

Absolutely Amazing!

Such a stunning home! I was visiting Costa Rica with my cousins and friends and we were a large group looking for an exclusive and luxurious vacation spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful beaches. This home was PERFECT! From the moment we stepped inside, we were beyond excited to call this our home for a few days. The villa is huge and is even more amazing in person. It was so relaxing to have our very own pool and hot tub, right in front of the beach! Playa Flamingo is also a very quiet, and non-crowded beach, so it felt like we had endless space to ourselves and lots of privacy. This home is also located in a small gated community with security guards at the entrance, making it extremely safe. The villa contact was very accommodating and helpful through the whole booking process. They were always very prompt in their responses, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay at the home was perfect. They also arranged for us to have our own private chef who cooked delicious meals for us throughout the day. Overall I would highly recommend staying here!

A Little Piece of Heaven...

Playa Flamingo is truly a little piece of Heaven on Earth! We have stayed the past two Christmases and it has been the most wonderful experience!! You walk outdoors to a gorgeous pool and spa and then walk 50 yards to the ocean. Absolute Paradise!! The house is extremely clean with wonderful & friendly work staff on the premises. Flamingo Beach is a special town with plenty of activities! Our vacation included horse back riding, a day on a Catamaran, paddle boarding, to name a few... It really is a GEM and if this is your first time visiting I can guarantee it won't be your last. :)

Paradise.

A truly unbelievable house, property and location. Everything was as described and more. Paradise, simple as that. The hosts, and staff (chef, tour guides, cleaner, security, transfers) went above and beyond to make the stay truly magical.

Fantastic Vacation Home

What a spectacular home and incredible views of the ocean! We had 4 adults and 6 kids..plenty of rooms, infinity pool, shaded porch, exceptional kitchen and open floor plan to accomadate lots of people. Our group plans to come back many times- surfing, zip lining, beqaching, chef service, maids, gated with guards,etc. As my kids have said- Their Best Trip Ever!!!

Best location and fabulous accommodations

We loved everything about it. It has all the amenities with a beautiful beach just steps from your back door. The pool and hot tub along with a large loggia provide for a relaxing atmosphere. It is truly at the best spot in Costa Rica in close proximity to a variety of restaurants, golf , sailing, while having the privacy of a gated property. The house and grounds are absolutely superb. The floorplan is spacious and the house is furnished fabulously. We have stayed all over the world in some of the best hotels and I would highly recommend staying here if Costa Rica is your destination. I have had friends who stayed at the Four Seasons there and they felt confined to the immediate grounds and the location was not the best. We loved having the luxury while enjoying the local community and all it had to offer.

Most relaxing place I have ever stayed.

This is the best house in Costa Rico. Flamingo is small but has great restaurants and bars as well as activities close by. The beach is about 75 yards from the house which makes sitting on the porch and watching the sunset really cool. The house is very clean with daily cleaning service. I enjoyed hiking, paddle boarding, golf and especially the food. I have stayed here three times and will be heading back in January.

Loved it!

As a family, we loved our first stay at Hacienda Yellowhouse that we collectively voted to rebook it for the next year. The house has the perfect blend of indoor/outdoor and community/privacy living spaces. We made meals as a family, ate on the back porch almost every meal looking at the ocean, jumped between the pool/hot tub and ocean, read books, took sunrise walks (a few of us), had access to sailing and horses less than 10 minutes away. The house also has all the creature comforts that make you feel at home such as a basket of beach towels, washer and dryer, puzzles, games and outdoor grill. Perfect spot on a quiet beach.
