The 480 sq. ft. 1-BR kitchen-equipped apt. provides breathtaking views of the ocean, is clean and pretty, simple and rustic, comfortable, perfect for a romantic getaway. This self-catering rental is located within the noted Tamarindo Estates Beach Apts. property, where each rental apt. has its own private entrance. Property is very secluded, yet only a 7-minute drive from town. Guests are welcome to use the beach-house at Tamarindo Estates, where restroom facilities are provided.

Besides the bedroom, a living-kitchen area, and its own private bathroom, the apartment has its own private roofed deck where guest may sit to enjoy gorgeous ocean views.

Guests get free unlimited Wi-Fi in their room. This rental is looked for by snorkelers, nature lovers, and bird watchers. You may walk-in right from the Tamarindo Estates beach-house into a remarkable ocean reef at the Luis Peña Marine Reserve. Besides the apartment buildings and within the property line of Tamarindo Estates, you are surrounded by over 40 acres of undeveloped greenery, enabling you to enjoy great mountain and ocean views, stunning sunsets, secluded from the hustle and bustle, yet very close to main town. You may take a look at the aerial photos provided. This place is ideal to get away from the norm of everyday living and enjoy a refreshing change of pace. Your host, Jose, has a caretaker on call at Tamarindo Estates to care for your needs. As a guest you may also use for free the private beach-house at Tamarindo Estates, to take shade, read a book, relax, sit on a beach chair or whatever while on the beach, where restroom facilities are provided.

BEDS AND VENTILATION: The apartment’s air-conditioned bedroom has a double-bed (Full-sized, 54x75 inches) for 2 guests. Guests may also opt to use the room’s ceiling fan and open the screened windows for natural ventilation. Your living-kitchen room, as will be assigned by management, would either have a standard sofa or a double-bed futon, which is suitable for teens or young adults. A 30x72 inches rollaway cot is also provided in the apartment. The living-kitchen room has a ceiling fan, and the windows are screened and may stay open for fresh air ventilation.

TRANSPORTATION TO CULEBRA: The airplane is a relatively hassle free, reliable and timely way to travel to Culebra. We recommend the use of the airplane. Main local airlines are Air Flamenco and Vieques Air Link. Air charter operators are also available. Ferry service departs the port town of Ceiba, Puerto Rico. You may buy ferry tickets online but if you are unable to buy the tickets ahead of time, we suggest you take the airplane.

DIRECTIONS TO YOUR RENTED APT.: From the ferry dock keep going on the main street (Rd. #250) towards the airport. From the airport location drive or take a taxi to Tamarindo Estates, 7 to 10 minutes. From the airport stay on Rd #251 North for about 1.3 miles; at Km. 2.2 (by the yellow house) turn left into Tamarindo road till the very end (about 3/4 mile). At the circle on Tamarindo Estates, walk to the office building and follow the instructions for check in.

LOCAL TRANSPORTATION
Though guests may use taxis and “publico” vans, we recommend driving a rental vehicle, a golf cart or jeep. Check with Jerry’s Jeep Rental, Carlos Jeeps, and Culebra UTV Rentals. On high season or popular holidays, booking a vehicle in advance is suggested.

* Roofed veranda ideal to sit and relax and enjoy the beautiful ocean views.
* A beach-house is provided for the exclusive use of registered guests at Tamarindo; it is ideal for taking shade, read a book, sit on a chaise lounge, relax while on the beach, and it also provides restroom facilities.
* Guests may easily walk-in from the beach-house of Tamarindo Estates into extraordinary snorkeling spots, surrounded by pristine waters, at the Luis Peña Marine Reserve.
* This rental is located on Culebra's unique Marine Reserve.
* Rental unit is in the secluded and exclusive Tamarindo neighborhood, yet it is only a 7-minute drive to town, where grocery stores and most restaurants are located.

property manager was always available and friendly nice grounds beautiful view comfortable but you must have a vehicle because it is not near any major road or restaurant or sites private beach ? could not use, an area should totally be cleared so that you can walk into the water. too many rocks even where there is a slight opening ...even wearing shoes did not help.

Great location and views

Overall, this was a good experience. The place is nice, the views are great. It was a little confusing after making the reservation I didn't receive any communication from the host, so I called from the ferry to say I was on my way. The othe owner responded my call with "what's the problem?", so I was taken aback and explained I was only trying to reach my destination. He then gave me instructions on how to find the caretaker, and I was finally able to check in. Also, we paid extra to stay longer on our last day, and it was a day that the island was going to have power and water on and off, because they were going through repairs. We received adv email informing this from the host, yet in my opinion, guests should have not been charged for late checkout on a day when you know they will not have reliable service during the day. In this case, the fee should have been waived. Other than this, overall a nice place, rustic but comfortable, and with very nice view to Luis Peña Cay.

Great location fair priced

Kept good communication with owner and the care takers did a good job explaining the island and how things work. The only complain I have is the mattress quality. Other than that the place is awesome. And out worked out perfect for us. The apartment was clean and towels and washcloths were provided. The ac in the room worked perfectly and the miniature water heater also worked amazingly well. Located in Tamarindo beach is perfect for snorkeling. 3 minutes from flamenco beach 11minutes from pista restaurant and the down town area. Also close by sardinas 1 and 2 The ferry ⛴ was super fast and it was an easy transition. Keep up with your time and you'll have a great time. Advice rent a gold cart from carlos rentals. Cheaper and better service than the other two choices. Get up early and go to bed early. Its not a crazy party town. You'll enjoy it more.

Love Tamarindo!!

I stay at Tamarindo every time I go to Culebra. The grounds are private and the views from every apartment are breathtaking. Also, the caretakers are always so helpful and accommodating.

Quiet, peaceful location

Quiet, peaceful location. A car or golf cart is recommended though. Also, be prepared for no hot water in the kitchen, and limited kitchen equipment.

Un’oasi di pace e bellezza

Tamarindo Real Estates è stata una meravigliosa scoperta. Completamente isolata dal via vai del centro dell’isola, è un’oasi di silenzio, pace e bellezza. Il nostro appartamento era confortevole e molto pulito, avevamo una splendida vista sull’oceano. È possibile accedere alla spiaggia ad uso esclusivo degli ospiti che è anche attrezzata con una beach house con lettini, patio e doccia. Consiglio gli appartamenti di Tamarindo a chi cerca tranquillità e pace. Ulteriore nota positiva: la gentilezza e l’ospitalità del personali che gestisce la proprietà. La spiaggia di Tamarindo è un luogo magico dove fare snorkeling, più riparato rispetto a Flamenco Beach e molto meno frequentato.

nice people, nice place

Perfectly located, quiet, clean, dry, well ventilated, decently equipped not so small apartment with appropriate porch, mostly fast internet and grand sea views. Plus in 5 minutes you have cozy, convenient beach house at the coral reef and less then in 10 minutes you have sandy beach good for child. It is easy to skip car renting and get all Culebra's "must view" and provision for about 100$ for local transportation ("taxi") per week. Unfortunately, no laundry and no dishwasher, burning sun, and almost invisible insects at Caribbean beeches (not at home!) in the evenings, but anyway, it is definitely 5 stars of 5, or even 6 stars of 5, if it could be allowed.
