Wake up to birdsong, sip coffee on the roof-top deck surrounded by nature, enjoy the trails on the property, and unwind under the stars by the fire pit. Modern, cozy, and totally unique—this container home offers a full size kitchen, large bath, king bed, sleeper sofa. This beautiful property is 1 mile from Tucker Lake, 5 minutes from Patoka, 10 from downtown French Lick. Whether you’re chasing peace, romance, or a little adventure, this forest retreat is ready to make memories with your favorite friends and family. Please note-container walls are cedar in case there are allergies!

Plenty of room for boat/trailer parking.
Hiking trails are located around the property.

Lovely space nestled in the woods. We used the outdoor table to read and relax. The upstairs deck was great for star gazing.

The communication was very thorough and made me feel at ease with what to expect to check in. Good packet of information at the property to help with what to do upon arrival and checkout. The keypad entry is convenient. I had access to the phone number of the owner, if needed as well.The house is very small which was okay, but there was no where to hang coats, or clothes, or to put snacks/food away. No closets or places to put our suitcases and bags that we carried in. It’s perfect for a night or two, but I couldn’t stay here for a longer period of time when you had more clothes and food, etc.

Perfect quiet weekend getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy container home. The decor is super cute, and the location feels nice and secluded—perfect for a quiet getaway. The fire pit area was a great touch and made for a relaxing evening. We had several wildlife to watch as the sun went down or when we got up in the morning and had our coffee around the campfire. The bed was comfortable, and the space was thoughtfully put together. It’s a neat, comfortable spot to unwind. Would definitely recommend for a simple, peaceful stay! Owners are very prompt with answering any questions.

This place was great! As described, it is a shipping container, so it is compact while having all the necessities. Everything was clean, and getting in was easy and straightforward. The location is absolutely beautiful. We were surrounded by trees, and it was very quiet and peaceful. The patio area and rooftop deck offer great places to sit and enjoy nature. The trails were great too, leading down to a creek with some really cool rock features. We were just a short drive from French Lick and Paoli, so there were places to easily get food and groceries. We were also just a short drive from several trails in Hoosier National Forest, which was our reason for visiting. The hosts were great as well. They communicated a lot, making it easy to find the house, and giving clear instructions about checking in and out. We even met one of them, as he was working on their new house next door. He was very kind and offered suggestions on where to hike. We would definitely recommend this location to others.

It was beautiful and close to all the things. It is such a neat container home! I honestly would love to see pictures of the progression into what it is now. Container homes are something that have intrigued and interested my husband and I. Something we have thought about doing later in our lives. So he found this for our anniversary weekend. Y'all, he started making plans for our own container home the night we checked in. Lol. It is so beautiful, and clean, and smells amazing with the cedar. I spent a lot of my time, when not going places, on the bottom patio, it's gorgeous! The patio on top of the container is beautiful as well. Beautiful scenery. My early bird husband checked out the trails in the early mornings when I was still sleeping. And he said the trails were great. It stayed nice and cool on the home with the Mr Cool system. The bed was so comfortable. The decor or beautiful and I love the fridge look.

Really neat place! We have this saved for future trips to the area. We love hiking and there are trails directly behind the home. Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate so we'll have to check that out the next time. Our host made sure we knew exactly how to get there and was very helpful all around with the information that was provided. Very short drive to everything French Lick has to offer. Thanks Allison!

French Lick is a quaint town with loads of attractions for all! I love that you can find an activity for any season. The best part of this property is that it is quietly tucked away and peaceful yet close enough for quick access to town and Patoka Lake. There are lots of inviting and delicious restaurants nearby but the fully equipped kitchen allows home cooking if your looking to stay in. The hiking trails allow for peaceful walks and inviting scenery. The uniqueness of a shipping container
