Welcome to The Turtle’s Nest – Your ultimate Key West getaway, where luxury meets paw-fection!
We’re excited to share our recently renovated home in paradise, now available for rentals. The Turtle’s Nest is a 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath retreat nestled in vibrant Midtown Key West – perfectly situated without the crowds of Old Town, but just 5 blocks from Smathers Beach and a 10 min bike ride away from Duval Street's nightlife and historic charm. The airport and Garrison Bight Marina (hello, fishing and sandbar charters!) are less than half a mile away. The Key West Golf Course is just 3 miles away.

-1 Full bed (a bunkbed over a Queen bed)

The sitting area on back patio is perfect to enjoy your coffee in the mornings, or to relax after a your day of fun! The 3rd bedroom is actually an in-law suite with a full bath, separate from the others with its own entrance and has a mini-fridge and coffee bar!

This historic cottage was originally built as a home for the cigar factory workers, the Martinez Cigar factory building still stands a block away, and is now a storage facility. The home was unique in that it was built with Indian Block, known for its fireproofing and hurricane strong properties.

Before we bought this beautiful home, we would visit Key West with our 2 dogs and often had a difficult time finding a place that would accept larger dogs (we have a Golden Retriever and an Australian Shepherd), so our mission was to make a lovely spot that you can enjoy along side your family pets.

We had an amazing month at The Turtle’s Nest! The hosts really thought of everything—from spices and kitchen utensils to sunscreen and floats for the beach. The welcome book was packed with great tips for things to do and places to eat, which made exploring Key West a breeze.Maui, our 65lb golden retriever, had the time of her life—Key West is super dog-friendly, and she basically claimed the back patio as her personal lounge when we weren’t out and about. We were so happy to find a place that welcomes a dog her size! The house is comfy and pet-friendly, and it really felt like home.We loved the location—so close to the beach, easy to get around with the bikes, and totally peaceful inside even with the airport and roosters nearby. The soundproofing was great, and my husband, a light sleeper, really appreciated it. The beds were nice and comfy—perfect for collapsing after a day of exploring (or just lounging around!).Everything was just like the photos and super clean, which made settling in effortless. Thoughtfully set up, super convenient, and honestly a little slice of Key West paradise!

** Perfect Key West Getaway – The Turtle’s Nest is a Gem!**We just returned from an amazing stay at The Turtle’s Nest, and I can’t say enough about how perfect this home was for our Key West vacation! The location is ideal – in a quiet Midtown neighborhood that’s still super close to everything. Smathers Beach is just a short walk, and Duval Street is an easy bike ride away.The house itself is beautifully renovated, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. We loved the thoughtful layout, especially the separate in-law suite with its own entrance, coffee bar, and mini fridge – perfect for a little extra privacy. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need, and the outdoor patio was our favorite spot for morning coffee and evening cocktails.The included bikes, beach chairs, and beach towels made exploring the island effortless. We also really appreciated the high-speed Wi-Fi, full laundry, outdoor shower, and two fold-away workstations (great for mixing a little remote work with vacation life).As a family traveling with dogs, this was a dream find! The fenced yard gave our pups space to roam safely, and it was so refreshing to find a pet-friendly rental that welcomes larger breeds. We have loved this island and the Key West vibe for decades, and finally took a leap in purchasing a home to enjoy the island a portion of the year, while allowing others to visit and fall in love with this special place as much as we have!

We love Key West, its a 2-mile x 4-mile island, so you are always close to everything. We chose our house because its centrally located, the neighborhood is quiet, and on our bikes, we can be anywhere on the island within a 10 min ride.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We are a 3 BR, 2.5 bath (+ an outdoor shower with hot/cold water), with a fenced yard and we are dog friendly. Contact me about your pets for approval, but after we found it hard to rent something with 2 larger dogs. I wanted to make it easier for people who travel with their beloved dogs.
