The house is spacious with good amenities (hot tub, sauna) and the location is convenient. Check-in was smooth, and the host communicated clearly before and during the stay.Unfortunately, the experience turned very negative immediately after checkout. Just hours after we left, the host started sending messages and photos claiming various damages (pulling on items, heat marks on the table, cracked fridge drawer, etc.) and quickly requested 2,000 through VRBO.We had noticed pre-existing issues upon arrival (loose drawer handles and general wear), and during the stay a window screen fell off by itself and scratched our car. We were extremely careful – we stayed mostly indoors due to constant rain, never placed hot items directly on the table, and cleaned thoroughly before leaving.The entire drive home (and days after) was spent dealing with these accusations and the dispute, completely ruining any relaxing vacation feeling. It’s very stressful to be hit with such a large claim with no opportunity to respond in person or verify the issues together.Overall, this post-stay experience made the trip feel not worth it.
