Kristen and Tom were exceptional hosts! They are super responsive and always available to answer questions or suggest recommendations. They are super detail oriented, and their property is just beautiful. Ocean Beach was spectacular and the perfect place to be for the weekend. 10/10 - i wouldn’t have wanted to be anywhere else!

The home was perfectly located for our visit with our son in Ocean Beach. Just far enough away to escape the drum of activity but close enough to walk down and grab a bite on Newport Ave. Mornings on the balcony, with a cup of coffee set the days intention and the kitchen was well equipped for making the dishes we needed for our family cook out. Street parking was easy to find and the garage accomodates a mid size car. Really enjoyed a long walk to Sunset Cliffs and back. The home is in a beautiful neighborhood with a nice mix of home sizes and styles.

House is exactly what is states. Close to beach, 10 minute walk. Close to the freeway for quick travel. House was clean. Host were helpful. Overall good experience.

Great stay! The hosts were both welcoming and flexible. The house had great accommodations for beach visits including chairs, cooler, and a wagon, and cooking in. It was about 15 minute walk to the beach. It had an amazing view! We would certainly stay again!

Excellent home. Great location near to beach and lots of coffee shops and casual restaurants. Parking was very easy. While house is walking distance from activities it is still far enough that you don’t have a lot of street noise or foot traffic. There is a wonderful patio overlooking the ocean. The owners were very easy to communicate with and they provide beach equipment which is very helpful. All around great stay.

We had a wonderful stay! Very clean property and tastefully decorated. Beautiful views from the wrap-around balcony, especially at sunset. Kristin & Tom, were excellent hosts throughout the stay. The conveniently provided folding chairs and umbrellas were an extra plus for us on our trips to the beach. Would love to stay here again - Highly recommend.

We had a fabulous stay here. The place was very clean, offered several amenities and had an amazing view. The location was great, we were able to walk or bike to breakfast and the beach. Tom and Kristin were phenomenal hosts and we can wait to stay again!

Communication with our host was clear and easy. Our family of 6 (4 adults, 1 pre teen & 1 teen) slept comfortably in the 2 bedroom tri level home. It was spacious and absolutely beautiful. The garage on the 1st level can accommodate your vehicle easily. The location is a 10 min walk to local restaurants, cafes, the Wednesday farmers market and the beach. We appreciate the quiet neighborhood and friendly neighbors. The home has 2 beach cruisers and everything we needed for the pre 4th of July wknd celebration. The porch was a wonderful way to enjoy our morning coffee and end our evening with a glass of wine. We love the home and OB.

He had a wonderful stay at the OB overlook as a family of four. The house was very comfortable and clean and absolutely beautiful. It couldn’t have been more convenient in terms of location being a quick walk to town and the beach and an easy drive to all of the attractions we visited. Kristen and Tom respond quickly to all questions and were very helpful. We would definitely visit again and recommend to friends!

Fabulous month-long stay. Would absolutely stay here again. Gorgeous balcony for watching the sunset, beautifully decorated, comfy beds, has everything you need in the house! I stayed there with my adult daughter who also enjoyed it very much. The hosts were very responsive and full of great recommendations of local things to do, restaurants etc. Highly recommend!!

Loved this place! The views are unreal, the bed is super comfy, and the shower's on-demand hot water was perfect. I had to get some work done, and the private workspace plus fast Wi-Fi made calls easy. Really quiet and peaceful, so even with work it felt like a mini gateway. Short stay but couldn't have asked for a better spot!

Summer trip

We stayed at the OB Overlook for a few days just before school started. The property was lovely, very clean, and spacious enough for our family of 5. We enjoyed the balcony outdoor space and the beautiful view. The kitchen had all the utensils, pots, and pans needed to make a few meals. The beach is several blocks away, so we drove a few times, but also walked once and it only took about 15 minutes. We would definitely return to this beautiful home!

Great view! Balcony outside 3rd floor living room provides a clear view of the ocean and beautiful sunsets. Clean, spacious and responsive hosts. Our trip was with our 11 year old granddaughter and she loved it.Pros:- View!- Location, close to Newport Ave shops and restaurants and beach- Cleanliness- Spacious, bedrooms are large and sliding doors in living room make for great open space- Responsiveness, had minor issue with tub not draining and hosts had handyman there first thing next morning and fixed the issue.Hosts have a very detailed description of the property, read it.* This is a 3 story with 2 sets of stairs, it was no problem for us but could be for some with mobility issues* No A/C (clearly stated in the description) and we stayed during August heat. Breeze was nice and sleeping was fine. Could use more fans for upstairs or ceiling fans in the bedrooms and living room.* Garage is small length wise and steep entry (clearly stated in the description), our SUV did not fit.* Cabinets over kitchen sink are kind of low for tall person (I'm 6'3") and I bumped my head on the cabinets a couple of times using the sink and coffee machine. It's one of those things, you know it's there but still manage to forget to duck. : ) We had a great time and loved the views and location!

Fantastic Property

The home is well represented by the listing. This is a great, clean property with respectful and honest owners. The location is perfect in Ocean Beach. It is in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood setting. There was plenty of room for our family of four along with the family we have in the area that visited. Everything including the bedding is new and comfortable. Tom and Kristin were the perfect amount of communication combined with leave you to yourself to enjoy your time. I think we were the first family to stay here after the hosts got back into listing again with VRBO. We are happy to have that honor... I'd gladly stay here again on any trip to the area. Thanks, Tom - we hope to see you again some day.

The OB Overlook is an exceptional rental that truly exceeded my expectations. It's beautifully decorated yet comfortable—I felt at home the moment I arrived. While the bedrooms may not have been the reason I visited, they were a peaceful place to unwind from my adventures.Cooking in the kitchen was made super easy with a solid selection of pots, pans, and utensils. My caffeine needs were also met with the super nice coffee maker.The highlight of this home is undoubtedly the stunning ocean views. The sunsets overlooking Ocean Beach and the water were so spectacular, they were every bit as good as going to Sunset Cliffs. In terms of location, you get a sense of peace and quiet being nestled in the neighborhood, yet it’s an easy 15-minute walk to the beach and Ocean Beach’s main street. With plenty of parking, I was able to explore not just the coast but also go on inland excursions without worry.The host provided great communication, making for a smooth arrival and a seamless stay. This home is excellent value for the area and would be perfect for groups or families. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend it.
