In this popular and amenity filled community, come and enjoy the quiet and outdoors of our home away from home. This 3 bedroom, 2 bath house has the charm of a mountain cabin with modern amenities. Relax in the hammock, roast s'mores after a day exploring or enjoy dinner on our screened in porch.

We're just a short walk from pools, beaches, lakes, playgrounds and game rooms and a short drive from hikes, water parks and popular shopping destinations.

Downstairs, you'll find:
-A comfortable living room with a newly installed remote controlled propane fireplace that heats the whole house, dining table, games and puzzles.
-A fully stocked kitchen (all the plates, silverware, glassware and cookware you could need). The kitchen is also stocked with salt, pepper, olive oil, sugar and coffee.
-A bathroom with a tub and a brand new washer/dryer
-A cozy bedroom with a double bed, a TV with a Roku box, a chair, a nightstand and a dresser and closet to store your belongings
-A 3-season enclosed porch with a table, couch and access to the back porch and backyard.

Upstairs, you'll find:
-A cozy bedroom with a double bed, dresser, chair and nightstands.
-A kid friendly room with twin bunk beds, kids books, puzzles, games and toys. The closet has a pack n play, a twin air mattress and extra blankets.
-A bathroom with a shower stall
-An upstairs lounge with a couch and a futon (that folds out into a smaller full sized bed), and a TV with a Roku box to stream all of your favorite shows. This lounge has puzzles, books and board games.
-A linen closet upstairs with any extra linens you may need.

The house is equipped for small kids with step stools, booster seats, kids plates/bowls/cups, puzzles and books.

The front yard has a big hill that's great for outdoor play and the big backyard has a fire pit and a grill to enjoy. There is an outdoor storage bin with beach supplies and we have a single kayak you can use stored at Island pool for your convenience.

The house sits on a large quiet lot that opens up to protected land in the back--so you'll have lots of quiet.

Our award winning community has lots to offer!! We are less than a ten minute walk from Island Pool (our favorite pool), playground and boat launch, where you can also rent kayaks and canoes to explore the beautiful lakes. The community has two other heated pools, four beaches, three other playgrounds, a game room, endless entertainment at the Lodge, basketball courts and tennis courts, a fitness center (open 5am-10pm), and a billiards room.

Ski resorts, water parks, beautiful hikes, vineyards, great shopping and spas are all a short drive away. Come enjoy all the Poconos has to offer at our beloved Mountain House.

We are new to hosting! This is our home away from home and we are excited to share it. We are looking for guests who will love it and treat it like we do. We are working to make upgrades over time and really appreciate any feedback you may have so that we can learn to be the best hosts and offer you the best experience.

**Registration Required + Explanation of included fees**

*All persons and vehicles must be finalized 3 days before arrival. This is a gated community; any unregistered guests or vehicles will be denied access.

After booking, we will need to obtain an email for the primary renter, the number of guests, the make, model, license plate and state for each vehicle and names of the drivers. This information is required by the community. Once your stay is registered, you’ll get an email with a QR code to access the community and all of the amenities the community offers.

**Please be prepared for the weather in the Poconos! Please check the weather and plan and pack accordingly. In the winter this means snow, ice and wind; in the spring it means rain and mud; and in the summer it means bugs and sun while the nights are still chilly.*** **We recommend you bring your own ice water to drink and as the drinking water may not meet your drinking standards.**

**Please note that there is no trash or recycling pick up anywhere in the community. This is because it’s Bear country! This means you will need to take out your trash and recycling to the trash center (which offers a valet service) at the end of your stay and perhaps during your stay.**

**Our house is nestled in the woods, surrounded by nature. While we maintain the home with regular cleanings and professional pest control, guests may still encounter critters such as squirrels, chipmunks, deer, raccoons, insects (ants, mosquitoes, spiders, etc.), and the occasional friendly bug or two inside or outside the property. You may also see bears. This is part of the natural woodland experience and is outside of our control.**
