Pet friendly Arrowhead Lake chalet

This three level, three bedroom, three bathroom home is situated in a safe gated community. It includes a game room, bar, den with smart TV, and firepit. It is within walking distance of two beaches, two playgrounds, and a pool. A golf cart is also provided for your convenience!

Community amenities include 4 beaches, 3 heated swimming pools, hot tubs, fitness center and a game room with pool table, shuffleboard, Foosball and more. Just minutes from Camelback and Jack Frost ski resorts, as well as Pocono Raceway, white water rafting, zip-lining, paintball, Kalahari and Mt. Airy/Mohegan Sun casinos.

You may enter the community the day of arrival at any time to use the amenities, but the house will not be available until 4pm. (early check in upon availability). Wristbands must be worn while using any community amenities.


Garbage: There is a garbage and Recycle center at the front gate below the member services building where we ask guests to drop off trash before leaving. It is a drive-through center with someone there to help you get the trash out of the car.

Wildlife: Besides the cutest chipmunks running around we also have deer and bear sightings. Please be mindful of leaving food outside that will attract animals.

We really enjoyed our get away at Arrowhead. The chalet is located 5-10 min away from all three pools. Chalet itself has a charming rustic lake house vibe which we absolutely loved. The owner is very nice and easy to communicate with. In summary, strongly recommend!

We enjoyed the property. The kids especially liked the gigantic bathtub...great for bubble baths. The pool & beach were great. I would suggest a binder with general info about the house - how to work the golf cart & operate the lights by the firepit. Include a general map of the community with pool, beach, lodge & trash locations and hours of operation for each. Maybe include local restaurants, farm markets and attractions.

I walked into home, it was a mess, bedding on floor. Towels on floor, bathroom dirty and disqusting. Stove a mess, everything was thrown around. The smell of the home stunk so bad. I called instantly and sent pictures over to host . Host said the cleaner must of not came over and then says let me contact them and had to wait. I was stuck for my sons birthday weekend and had to immediately call host for a refund and get a hotel. Worst experience ever. She then refunded me partial payment and told me customer service takes long to reply. I texted next day to no response for the rest of my money.

Great Place

We stayed for three nights and had a blast. The house was just as described. Great community with a big sledding hill that was so much fun. The owner was very responsive. We had a question about the Wi-Fi and their response was immediate. Owner checked in with us the day before our arrival to give us additional details. We never had to go out to eat as the kitchen had everything we needed to cook.

Pocono with a basement and golf cart

Home was clean, kitchen needed additional cabinet space for food and drawers for clothes. Golf cart broke after 3 days, Every thing else couldn’t be better. Plenty of space, dog friendly, plenty of games for the kids. Plenty of towels. Hostess was very responsive. Kitchen had a lot of little things you need when you rent a house like wraps equal oil ect Very pleased we would rent again

Warm and welcoming

Our host was very warm and welcoming. They messaged us within the hour of reserving our dates for our stay and remained in contact with us through the trip. One of the owner's met us @ a nice local deli down the street to handoff the key to their place and welcome us to the area with suggestions of where to eat and shop. The game room and jacuzzi hot tub were our favorite parts of the house. My son had a great time trying different games and playing air hockey. As well as taking a dip in the oversized tub which was basically a pool for him. The kcups were well stocked and the towels were warm when we arrived. Very comfortable stay for ap family of 3 with our dog. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

house downstairs smelled musty, cobwebs in light fixtures. water leak under kitchen sink not a good smell. and finally ANTS probably due to the water leak. The golf cart had flat tires and part of windshield missing. But in a good location. not terrible

A REAL LIFE NIGHTMARE

CAUTION WHEN RENTING FROM THIS OWNER!!!!! WE BOOKED AND PAID FOR A 4 DAY STAY AND WHEN ARRIVED WERE REFUSED ACCESS AT THE GATE DUE TO THE OWNERS OWN NEGLECT AND THREATENED TO HAVE THE POLICE CALLED IF WE DIDNT LEAVE!!! THE OWNER REFUSED TO REFUND OUR MONEY- IF TOURE LOOKING FOR A NICE TRIP DO NOT RENT FROM THIS OWNER!!

This guest was reminded multiple times to pay the Arrowhead registration fee three days prior to arrival or they would be denied access. They failed to do so. This instruction is printed in bold on the property description. This is an Arrowhead rule, not mine. They are very strict about it. Even after they failed to pay the fee on time, my wife and I tried everything possible to get them into the community. We ended up getting fined $500 by Arrowhead because of it. We STILL felt bad that they missed their vacation so we offered the house at a different date. They picked a date in the summer (with much higher rates). We blocked off the dates for them to stay for free. I’m not sure what kind of chaos this guest started at the front gate to get them to threaten to call to the police, but that has nothing to do with us. Pay your fees on time and you will not have any issues entering the community. No need for nightmares.

Okay but not great

Check in was smooth. First issue was only 4 clean bath towels for 8 people. Found some other towels piled on garage floor in front of washer. We washed those then found out the dryer didn’t work. Hung towels on chairs to dry. Contacted owner and asked if someone could look at it, no one came. Next issue was dishwasher didn’t work, owner stated it should work but may be out of service. Last but not least was overall cleanliness with a lot of spiderwebs all around. I’m not hard to please but expected a dryer, dishwasher and a clean house for my family to use for the week.

Not well maintained

I want to start by saying that the host was really nice and very accommodating. When we arrived to the property, I could immediately see from outside that the yard and home from the exterior were not maintained at all. Inside, the house was not clean, sheets had not been washed-I know this because there was popcorn all over the bed sheets. We had to make a trip to the store immediately because there were no paper towels, napkins and just 1 roll of toilet paper. There were ants in the dining area which wasn’t really a surprise. If I was just staying there with friends, I could look past a lot of the uncleanliness but I had my children with us and the fact that I spent my first day of the visit washing bed sheets and blankets, and couldn’t let the kids run around in the yard because the grass was overgrown and unkept kind of sucked.

Good, not great

Positives: We booked this house last minute, and the owners were quick to respond and accommodating. The golf cart in the garage was working and it was enjoyable to ride around the community. The house included many basic supplies like toilet paper, tissues, and dish soap. The air conditioning units in each room were quiet and comfortable. Negatives: We have rented many houses in the past, and have been impressed with the cleanliness, organization, and care that had been taken to give the renters a good experience. This house had quite a few small issues that made our stay less enjoyable. First, storage for renters was minimal. All of the kitchen cabinets were full, leaving us nowhere to put our food. Bedroom closets and bathroom cabinets were mostly full as well, so there was minimal room for our clothes and toiletries. Also, we felt that the house was not cleaned well. For example, the stove griddle was full of grease, and there was garbage and food under the bunk beds. Other things were lack of curtains on many windows, missing light bulbs in lamps, missing batteries in remotes, holes in multiple walls, and the downstairs closet doors falling off. These are all small things that with a little attention could make a more positive experience for renters. I’m mentioning them not to complain, but to inform people so they know what to expect. If you are ok with those things, then this will be a good house for you. For us, it did not feel like a home away from home.

Perfect getaway place

Easy entry to the property. The layout was very cozy. 2 fireplaces were a nice addition. Nice and peaceful location with access to a lot of nearby things to do.

Our stay

Our stay was nice. The place looked just like the photos and was a comfortable stay. We wanted a fireplace and there were two but it was gas not wood. Luckily my friend figured out how to make it work. There weren’t any curtains or blinds in the bedroom so we hung a sheet. Very quiet peaceful place to stay. The golf cart had three flats so we couldn’t use it, and didn’t plan on using it anyways! There is a $55 fee I didn’t know I had to pay to get a key card to enter this gated community and use of amenities that we didn’t use.
