Cuando piensas en unas vacaciones de montaña, probablemente pienses en "Log Cabin", escondido en los hermosos bosques de Smoky Mountains. Si es así, usted está pensando en Appalachian Dream Lodge! Usted puede recordar esta cabaña como "Lucky D Lodge". Tiene nuevos propietarios y ha sido recientemente remodelado con nuevos pisos y muebles. Durante el día, puede sentarse fuera en el porche cubierto y ver las idas y venidas en la carretera de abajo, y simplemente disfrutar de los sonidos de la naturaleza que te rodea. Ocasionalmente, puede que capture la familia de osos que frecuenta la zona. La bañera de hidromasaje está situado en un porche cubierto privado (justo al lado de la sala de estar) por lo que se puede disfrutar en todas las situaciones meteorológicas.


Esta cabaña se encuentra justo al lado de Ski Mountain Road en una elevación de 2,432 pies y está a sólo un corto trayecto en coche al parque nacional. Si usted está en los deportes de invierno, esquí en la nieve o el snowboard, esta cabaña está a sólo unos minutos de la estación de esquí Ober Gatlinburg, así como el centro de Gatlinburg. Otra amenidad que ofrece esta cabaña es el acceso al Chalet Village Owners Club. The house was a great location. Parking was easy. The road was not too windy getting to the cabin. Close to downtown and not 10 to uber if you wanna have a few smokes of moonshine. There is a small store near the cottage that sells beer/wine and whatever small supplies you would need. Great for a relaxing vacation with hot tub and fire pit. But, also close enough to hike and enjoy many activities

Property was in an ideal location close to Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mtn National Park. We loved the porch for viewing bears that came through the yard. The beds were very comfortable, kitchen was stocked and the hot tub was nice for relaxing in the evening.

New Years family getaway

We had a great stay in this cabin, we took board games with us and enjoyed the dart board and ended each night with a soak in the hot tub. The Mountain Laurel property management team were the best! We bought bundles of wood for the fire pit and it was perfect for bring in the new year. We didn't see any bears in our yard but did on the roadway and on our last day it started snowing. We look forward to coming back.

Very nice cabin and location

We really enjoyed our stay at the Appalachian Dream cabin. Plenty of space and comfortable furnishings. We didn't have any trouble finding the location, although we didn't have cell signal once we arrived. Easy access to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Only issue we encountered was that we weren't able to use the clubhouse due to overflow parking from Ober Gatlinburg filling the lot and the attendant wouldn't let us in. Make sure you take advance of the Explorie free tickets. Very easy to use and saved us money on local attractions!

Great place to stay , cozy. Roads to cabins are very intimidating, no guardrails in some spots and complete drop off!!! Bears very active, awesome to see them with baby cubs. However, we had to be on alert whenever sitting on porch or coming and leaving the cabin because they were everywhere. Was chased inside cabin numerous times because they would come right up on the porch!!!!!! Gatlinburg Sevierville and Pigeon Forge were great places to visit. Overall I would not recommended this particular area/ cabin if you have small children because of the bears.

Great location for skiing!

Only complaint I have is the additional fees that were requested/required AFTER the reservation was made! I believe this actually violates the VRBO policies and I contacted VRBO customer service and they were NO help! I was stuck so had no choice but to pay it. Be warned-the property manager DOESNT list this and WILL cancel your reservation if you don’t pay it!!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home is in a great location. Ample room for family or friends with four bedrooms. Hot tub was nice. Appliances work fairly well. Beds are comfortable and master bedroom is huge. There is parking for three cars easy, four is doable. Our only complaint is that HBO was advertised but not available. We were planning on watching an HBO end of Series show the last night of our vacation. Other than that we had a fantastic time and even saw a bear on the property.

Super Clean & Cozy!

Adorable cabin close to downtown GBurg! We spent a long weekend with our daughters & grandsons here. Our grandsons loved ‘their’ bedroom with the foosball table. Enough room for the 7 of us, but honestly can’t imagine more people than that. Office staff were amazing! They have thought of everything! Note to others re: firewood, THEY deliver with 10+ bundles! Property is in a neighborhood, but other than the garbage man, I think we saw 5 people our whole stay. One of the cleanest cabins we’ve ever rented!! And the bears…we saw 4; assumed a Mama & 3 teenagers! Our grandsons were over the moon excited!! Just a few unimportant personal suggestions that did NOT impact our stay, but would maybe be helpful for future guests: some type of hooks for the bathrooms; hairdryer, porch light timer, small set of inexpensive mixing bowls. Again, only suggestions :) We loved our stay & will choose Laurel Mountain again!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was large and spacious for the 7 adults and 1 child that stayed for about a week. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and being entertained by the mama bears and babies (1 mama and 2 little ones, another mama with 3, and a third mama with 4 babies!) The house was in need of some updates. The steps into the house are a little awkward—especially the very bottom step. This could be an issue for elderly or people with hip or back problems. Most items worked, but the knob on the washing machine was nearly impossible to turn to the proper setting (and the knob is no longer marked since it has apparently been scratched and warped through the many years). The light in the bathroom shower sometimes turned on and sometimes didn’t. People staying, may want to bring a shower/tub mat to keep from slipping in the downstairs tub (it gets quite slick when there is any soap or shampoo on it’s surface). The lock on the bathroom door from the downstairs bedroom didn’t really lock. While overall the house was useable and comfortable, it just seemed to be getting rather outdated and in need of some freshness such as new mattresses, new bedding, appliances, attention to locks, plumbing (under kitchen sink), loose deck boards, tightening screws on handles, repairing the laundry room door (keep it on track), etc.The amenities such as the hot tub and pool access were nice for our family. Also the location was great. Far enough to enjoy some quiet, yet close enough to Gatlinburg so that a quick drive would get us downtown.I would only recommend this property to relatives or a friend with the knowledge that the place needs some attention.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We got in late the first night things were so clean and nice. The next evening and every evening after that we saw bears! We even had one climb up onto the front porch where we could see it up close and personal, from the door and windows. We enjoyed our stay and hope to rent the same cabin for the next visit to Gatlinburg! My son forgot his boots and the rental company we super nice and helpful in getting us back into the cabin to get them. If you get the chance, book this cabin! You can thank me later!

What a great location away from the hustle and bustle at the bottom of the mountains. We definitely felt like we were on a mountain vacation! We had bear visitors every single day which was so cool. It was quiet and comfortable. The first responder discount is what sealed the deal for us. Thank you for appreciating people who often go unappreciated. We will definitely try to book again when we visit next time.

Cozy and clean

Our family of 4 really enjoyed this cabin. The location was great. Parking was flat and we had plenty of room. We grilled one night on the outside grill. The decor was super cute. I think we have a new hobby of Darts! We didn’t sleep in the bunk bed room but all other beds were comfy. Hot water in showers was great after a day of walking. We used the hot tub nightly. Wish the jets were stronger but it did the job. Everything in kitchen was well equipped, Washer and dryer was a plus as well..now I get to go home and just put away clothing. I would definitely stay here again!

It was roomy for our family and had been redecorated since our last stay several years ago. I would like to call out some little things that need attention. The upstairs bathroom sink does not drain properly and one of the lights is out. There is also a lamp not working in the master bedroom. This did not affect our stay or enjoyment of the cabin. It was clean and the staff were great to work with. We will definitely stay there again.
