You made it, you're on vacation! You take the drive out to the Cape and pull up to your home away from home. You open the front door and step in. Your first reaction? Wow! What a cool house! Just like that, the stress melts away. We hope you love it as much as we do. This house is not your average Cape Cod-style home, and that's what makes it great! Cool and airy on summer nights with an open floor plan and A/C throughout, and warm and cozy for a long winter weekend with central heating and our real wood-burning stove.
What's next for your summer vacation? Drop your bags and explore. You're steps from the Cape Cod Rail Trail (CCRT). Hungry? Bike to our favorite roadside clam shack, Cobies, for your first of many Cape Cod lobster rolls. Cobies has some of the Cape’s best casual seafood, not to mention their ice cream window, and they now serve alcohol! Ready for an amazing sunset? Take a short walk (or 5 minute bike ride) to Namskaket marsh or venture a little farther to Skaket Beach (Orleans), which has amenities during the day (bathhouse and food shack), parking for non-residents, and a crazy good sunset. Mayflower Beach (Dennis) is another wonderful bayside beach.

More in the mood for an oceanside experience? Check out the spectacular Atlantic beaches at Nauset (Orleans), Cahoon Hollow (Wellfleet), and Lighthouse Beach (Chatham). Or why not whale watching in Provincetown?! All of these wonderful oceanside spots and many, many more, are 8-20 miles from the house.

Want a more relaxed water experience? Take a short bike ride or drive into Nickerson State Park to explore the Park's ''kettle ponds.'' These incredibly deep and crystal-clear ponds were formed by glaciers during the ice age. You can swim, paddleboard, picnic, and more. Just rent a boat at Jack's landing in Flax Pond and go! Hours worth of relaxing fun await you and it's a short bike ride or drive away.

Five minutes by car or 15 minutes up the CCRT by bike, catch a sit-down dinner at Rock Harbor Grill or Land Ho! (a true locals spot) followed by ice cream at the Chocolate Sparrow. A few minutes more down the road or a little longer by bike, check out our favorite mini golf spot, Cape Escape (don't forget to feed the fish in the Choi pond at the last hole!). The Knack, on the opposite side of 6A, has THE BEST burgers, fries and shakes!

Down the main street within two miles, you will find a grocery and liquor store, restaurants, a pharmacy, and great local shops of all kinds. We are halfway between the center of Brewster and the center of Orleans and halfway up the Cape.
