Welcome to Salt Creek Atelier, the spacious, light filled loft perched above Salt Creek Mercantile in historic downtown Ashland, Ne. Designed with a mix of new, upscale furnishings, antique furniture and accessories, and art-lined walls, S.C. Atelier is sure to provide you and your guests with a luxuriously cozy small town stay.
The space features high ceilings, over a dozen large windows, original century-old wood floors and a completely open concept design. Our French cottage inspired kitchen features an Ilve range, a vintage style refrigerator, an antique farm sink, a large prep island, and all the smaller appliances, cookware and serveware you need to stay in and host. A large farm table capable of seating 8 sits between the kitchen and living room.
The Atelier features a primary suite with queen bed, and a large en suite marble bathroom featuring a custom walk-in shower, clawfoot tub, double sinks, and complementary robes to use during your stay.
In addition to our primary suite, two other bedrooms, one with a queen bed, and the other with two twins, all feature European linen bedding, plenty of pillows, antique dressers, and ceiling fans to stay cool while you slumber. Each room also has a luggage holder for quick stays and low light sound machines to help you fall asleep to soothing sounds.
Just inside the entryway is a second full bathroom and a washer dryer closet with all the needed supplies, including iron and ironing board if needed.
The living room features ample cozy seating with two long leather couches and accent chairs, perfect for watching movies and relaxing, a round vintage game table stocked with classic games and seating for 4 people, a record player, and an office space just around the corner, perfect for getting a bit of work in during your stay.
Just outside is shopping, restaurants, coffee shops and a selection of bars, ranging from wineries to breweries, making this location a perfect spot to meet up with friends or family, or to simply have a staycation and relax.
The Atelier is located on the second floor and there is tall flight of stairs to get to it. There is an elevator for the property, but we ask that it only be used for those unable to use the stairs. Guests must message us before their stay to request access to the keys. *The elevator door opens to 32” wide and may not be compatible with all wheelchairs.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
-There is no smoking allowed in the Atelier. -No guests 18 or under may be left alone without an adult present. -The correct amount of overnight guests must be selected during booking. Our cleaning fee is a base rate for 2 GUESTS ONLY. There is a small fee per night for additional guests to accommodate the additional cleaning requirements/time after checkout. The shopkeepers of Salt Creek Mercantile are also the cleaning crew for the Atelier and given our small staff, typically only one of us is assigned to clean the entire space after checkout. We are extremely detail oriented and keep the space immaculate for our guests, but please understand this takes time, even for a two person stay. For this reason, unregistered guests are strictly prohibited. Thank you for your understanding!
-Our guests are allowed to host up to 8 people in the space total (including the registered guests) but non-registered guests must leave by 10:00pm. No exceptions.
-In certain circumstances, we can accommodate up to 8 overnight total guests. These reservations must be done manually, so please send us a message if interested.
-There is no dishwasher in the Atelier. We like to think the best conversations happen while washing up!
-The Atelier is a shoes-free space. Please leave footwear in the entryway.
-We kindly ask that all meals and foods that could stain (think red wine, tomato sauce etc) be enjoyed at the dining table. We want you to enjoy your stay though, so please enjoy light snacks and drinks anywhere else in the space!
