Relaxing

The trip was enjoyable. Property was quaint and peaceful. We used both the milk house and attached office and that provided good spaces for us four. The only complaint is the shower size is TINY but really I believe it's due to the age and structure of the building. We stayed two nights and enjoyed playing in the creek.

Sister Reunion

My sisters and I get together a couple times a year to just visit and talk about old times. This was the perfect place to do that. It was peaceful. Merre welcomed us with warm bread and fresh eggs. We were able to visit lots of farm animals, and she even introduced us to her alpaca and her very friendly goats. There is a beautiful stream nearby that we were able to dip our feet into and cool off while we enjoyed God’s amazing creation!

Little Bit Of Heaven

What a wonderful little place! My husband and I loved the uniqueness of the Milk House. It was cozy and comfy for us. Being able to have some great amenities verse a hotel room made the difference for us. Loved being able to check out the farm, play with the kitties outside and see all the chickens out free roaming later in the day. The owner was so gracious and helped us with locating some places we wanted to visit. We felt like part of the family when we talked with her. Almost hate to give an absolutely outstanding review as afraid it will always be booked when we want to visit again. Definitely would stay there again, and again, oh and again!

Owner is a SCAMMER

The WHITE room in the photos is NOT INCLUDED. That is what owner is calling her “office”, she demands cash payment for that space that the vrbo listing shows as included. Plus, the shower looks like something out of San Quentin (actually the prison showers maybe better). The wifi is in another building, and does not make it across the yard, and then thru the thick concrete walls of the building. Dont let the fresh bread, and farm eggs fool you, this listing is intended to deceive.

Beware of this woman - she was not truthful with me - though I clearly stated the Office was an extra fee and gave her a hefty discount if she wanted to include it in her booking, it appeared after meeting her in person, that she is a very troubled individual - a person who cannot be pleased and whose hardship story may not be the truth...

So very clean! The landscaping, lawn, properties are so well maintained that it made it a true pleasure to stay. Was so nice that I am planning to return in the future.

Home Made Bread

Nice & Quiet! Smell of homemade bread as soon as you walk in the place. Very nice owner liked her a lot! Watch the cats they will snag your bread! LOL!

Weekend getaway

This is a beautiful rustic country spot. It was exactly what I wanted, chickens in the yard, two playful kittens and lots of cows in the back pasture. The Milk House is rustic but spotless and the owner provided fresh eggs from her chickens and a warm loaf of bread on my arrival. It was exactly what I needed for a get-away and the owner is a lovely lady who made the entire experience delightful. I’ll definitely be back!

What a great experience

Merre was so friendly and hospitable. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed visiting with her on check in. The milk house was rustic and cozy and was like home away from home. We slept well. We enjoyed spending time with the kittens as well as spending some time relaxing on the hammock and catching lightening bugs. What a great experience.

So cute and cozy

Merre is so hospitable and a wonderful host. The little milk house is rustic and cozy. I loved my stay. I have also gotten to stay in the cottage last winter and next time I plan a visit to Carthage I will absolutely be checking to see if any of Merre's properties are available before looking for anything else.

Cozy and quiet

I really enjoyed my stay, hated to MoveOn. Such a quiet cozy place to hang your hat. Merre’s Hospitality was over-the-top, perfect accommodations to fit my needs, Hope I get to make it back.
