Acerca de este alojamiento

· · Casa Uh Mook · · Rooted design, sacred stay

Summary:
High in the mountains of Oaxaca, where sacred peaks whisper ancient secrets, lives Mook, the Zapotec goddess of maize. She is abundance, nourishment, and root. A feminine spirit that sustains life. Far away, deep in the lush Mayan jungle, dwells Uh, goddess of the moon—guardian of cycles, intuition, and sacred time.

Casa Uh Mook is born from the union of these two feminine forces. A space that honors ancestral wisdom—of the earth and the sky.

The Space:
Rooted in art and spirit. A design-forward house in Oaxaca’s historic center.

Casa Uh Mook is a large, hacienda-style home just a few blocks from the iconic Santo Domingo Church, right in the heart of Oaxaca’s historic center. More than a house, it’s a living tribute to the Zapotec and Mayan cultures—a place where art is not only displayed, but deeply felt.

With 8 spacious bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms, the home comfortably hosts up to 18 guests. Bedding includes a mix of king, queen, and full beds—plus one room with two king beds. Three bedrooms have private bathrooms. A baby crib is also available.

The design of the home is a love letter to ancestral beauty reimagined: black clay, woven textiles, natural materials and custom artwork depicting agaves, palms, cacti, and Oaxacan symbolism. Nearly everything in the house is handmade by Mexican artisans—transformed into a contemporary, soulful expression of craft and culture.

Shared spaces include:

A stunning rooftop terrace with a grill for open-air gatherings.

A soaring central patio with a custom-made lounge area and four-story ceilings.

An artisanal kitchen built entirely from Oaxacan clay, where you'll also find the smart TV.

Two bedrooms feature small balconies overlooking the street.

Each bedroom has air conditioning, and the home is equipped with high-speed WiFi throughout.

Perfect for large groups—families, friends, creative teams, or colleagues looking for inspiration, depth, and connection. This is a space for those who want to feel the city’s history, live its art, and taste its unforgettable cuisine.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire house, including all common areas, the rooftop, and the central patio.

Other Things to Note:
