The roads in Nosara are both a blessing and a curse. On the positive side it retains the undeveloped atmosphere and laid back character and on the negative side is it leads to a bumpy ride. In January 2016 we renovated to join the two guest bedrooms to the main house by knocking out two walls and creating a direct passageway link to now join all rooms from within the house. See the new floor-plan. Also in 2016 we paved the driveway so now renters have access if they want to park below the road. We look forward to your return in the future. Thanks for the comments.

Thanks for the great review. We are so pleased you enjoyed staying in our house and your visit to Nosara. As you were here over Christmas the neighbours were likely in a festive mood but when we stay in the house we hardly hear anyone. We do agree that the monkeys are early risers and unlikely to change their habits. Not being within walking distance of the beach does have it's advantages in that it is much more peaceful than the busy main sections of town and I'm sure the frequency of parties and late night revelry occur more frequently. We sometimes drive down a few times in a day: to the beach, to the supermarket, to a restaurant or some of the local activities but in the balance find the solitude quite rewarding. Please visit us again.

Courtney, thank you for taking the time to comment. We are glad you enjoyed your stay overall despite some shortcomings. Donna and I were down there for two months earlier this year and there were two pairs of scissors in the kitchen. Our property manager did find both pairs of scissors in a kitchen drawer after your visit so you just must have missed them. We have six king pillows and four twin pillows for guests. We have instructed the housekeeping staff to have both the sham covered and pillow case covered sets on the master bed, i.e. a total of four. The sushi dinner you had sounds fantastic and we might try that too. Thanks for the tip. We hope you will return again.

Andree, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay here and of course you would be most welcome to return again, even though you ate all our bananas. Herman tells us he has another bunch ripening for us that will be ready soon, as we arrived shortly after you departed. The dishwasher has been a problem ever since we built the house because of the lime and calcium buildup from the hard water here. When designing the house we were advised by our property manager not to install the dishwasher and we have found out the hard way she was correct. Philip & Donna

You managed a lot of activities in your week. Costa Rica is all about wildlife and the environment and we are thrilled you were able to enjoy being back in time, back to nature. It is what we enjoy too and why we built our holiday home in Nosara.

Thank you Kimbel. We are so glad you were able to experience the sights and sounds of Costa Rica that we are able to enjoy every year we go down. We specifically chose the location of our house to be immersed in the atmosphere of this wilderness area rather than the noisy hustle and bustle of the busy built up parts of the town. We specially asked our architect to preserve and incorporate the lush vegetation around the house to give the feeling of living in the jungle. That's what we all go to Costa Rica for. It also allows the animals to get close. Our gardener is a great guy and helps us improve our Spanish.
