Ideal for both relaxation and remote work, the home features high-speed WiFi, air conditioning, a washer and dryer, and a private gym with dedicated exercise equipment. Step outside to discover a spacious patio with outdoor seating, a BBQ grill, and a balcony perfect for morning coffee or stargazing. Guests also enjoy convenient amenities such as free parking, a garage, and an EV charger. For entertainment, the home includes smart speakers, and a collection of classic board games—making it the perfect retreat for friends, families, and solo travelers alike.
Nevada City offers year-round charm with unique seasonal highlights. In spring, visitors enjoy downtown shops, the Spring Craft Fair, scenic trails, and the railroad museum. Summer brings vibrant culture with the Nevada City Film Festival, lakeside fun at Scotts Flat Lake, lively events at Pioneer Park, and swimming at the South Yuba River. Fall features colorful foliage along Highway 20, local wineries, the Victorian Fall Festival, and haunted ghost walks. Winter is magical with Victorian Christmas celebrations, snow adventures in Tahoe National Forest, local art galleries, and scenic Sierra foothill drives. WILDFIRE WARNING This home is in a designated high-risk fire zone in California, especially during the months of June to November. While wildfires are rare, please follow these important safety steps during your stay:
Monitor local fire conditions, especially during dry or hot weather. You can check the Cal Fire website or reach out to the Concierge team for updates.
Make sure your phone is set to receive emergency alerts by enabling “Emergency Alerts” in your device settings.
Outdoor fires, fire pits, and fireworks are strictly prohibited at this property. This rule is required by local fire safety regulations.
In the event of an evacuation, follow all instructions from local authorities and the Wander Concierge team to ensure a safe and quick departure.
WILDLIFE WARNING Please be aware that wildlife populations including mule deers, racoons, coyotes, rattlesnakes, and black bears are high in the area (particularly March-October). We kindly remind families to keep a close eye on children, avoid leaving food outside (including residue in the grill and fire), secure all garbage, and keep doors and windows closed.
There is also an extremely friendly and sweet, neighborhood cat, named Toby, that wanders the neighborhood.
ACCESSIBILITY Winter Access A 4WD vehicle is required during winter months due to snow and steep road conditions. Please plan accordingly for safe travel. Also note that the EV charger is for Tesla, so an adapter may be needed.
Stairs This home contains features that may be difficult for some guests, including children, pets, or the elderly, such as climbing a set of 3–4 steps to enter the property. It is not wheelchair accessible.
OCCUPANCY NOTICE This home follows a strict maximum occupancy rule. Please make sure that the total number of guests accompanying you (including both children and adults) doesn’t exceed the indicated maximum occupancy above (6 guests) to avoid cancellation of your stay and additional fees.
SECURITY For security, there are cameras in these locations: Front door Side deck - outside laundry room door Deck outside the primary bedroom Exterior Garage (left side) Lower Balcony Hillside -looking towards the hillside / lower property line
There are no other cameras inside your Wander home.
PETS ALLOWED This is a pet-friendly home. Our pet fee is $350/stay charged at check-out. The fee goes to the cleaner for the extra work required after a pet stays. Pets are strictly prohibited in beds, indoor or outdoor furniture, or spa facilities. To adhere to the "Good Neighbor Policy," please remember to keep your dogs on a leash when outdoors, and don't forget to clean up their waste.
SECURITY There is a Ring doorbell camera in the front door and security cameras throughout the property exterior. There are no other cameras inside your Wander home.
EVENTS Parties or events are not allowed unless prior written approval is given by our team. Failure to comply with this policy will result in a fine.
NO SMOKING Smoking is strictly prohibited both inside and outside the home. A fine of $1,000 will be applied to any guest found violating this policy.
Rattlesnakes are most active during warmer months, typically April through October. It's important to stay alert while hiking or walking outdoors.
This home is located in the Sierra Foothills, where snowfall is common in the winter. A 4WD vehicle is required for safe access.
During winter, the outdoor cushions are placed in the garage to avoid any damage. Please return them immediately after use.

This property is an amazing mountain view stay. It’s so peaceful up on the ridge…far enough away to have a true getaway yet close to Nevada City for easy access to everything. The home is fully stocked, beautifully decorated, and upgraded with all the modern technology. Communication with the owner (Wander) was so easy and helpful.

So clean! Beautiful views! Comfortable bed and wonderful towels and bedding! Every kitchen tool or appliance you will ever need! The only negative was there weren’t any extra blankets. Lovely in every way!

We absolutely loved our stay! The home was perfect—clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The location couldn’t be better, close to everything yet peaceful with an amazing view. Our dog was in heaven, too—he loved exploring the yard and relaxing with us on the patio. We can’t wait to come back!
