Nuestra encantadora, muy privada, segura y acogedora casa se encuentra en una ladera de Alta Vista de Puerto Vallarta con vista a la Bahía de Banderas y la famosa corona simbólica de la Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. Estamos convenientemente ubicados cerca de la playa local, Los Muertos, y del casco antiguo de la ciudad, Basilio Badillo. A diez minutos a pie de nuestra villa lo ubicará en el corazón de la ciudad para comprar, cenar en restaurantes locales, mezclarse en diversos vecindarios o disfrutar de la vida nocturna a lo largo del nuevo tramo del Malecón de Puerto Vallarta. Nuestro personal se compromete a tenerlo como el foco de su atención durante su estadía en Villa Gaeta México.

Villa Gaeta México, con su atractivo colonial español, tiene una vista impresionante del océano y la ciudad desde el punto de vista de cada habitación. Cada una de las tres habitaciones tiene una cama king-size con dosel con mosquitero, balcón y baño privado completo. we had such a wonderful time at Villa Gaeta ! fantastic location, so close to PV, but when we wanted to get away from the crowds and noise, we would just head back up to the very beautiful private space . the pool was amazing ( in the kitchen!) the bedrooms all have the most stunning views. the daily breakfast was wonderful, and every day the place was cleaned, beds made. Can't recommend enough! A fantastic way to enjoy the romantic zone in PV ! far more authentic experience than staying at a resort!

We had cleaning service on one day only. When I asked the hostess why our rooms weren’t cleaned or fresh towels delivered she reprimanded me. In writing. Upon arrival we were given two sets of keys totally unlabeled to multiple lock pads and told how important it was to have the house locked at all times. It felt very unsafe and unwelcoming. At minimum that many keys to that many locks should be labeled for safety. At minimum you should expect to have a room clean and fresh towels. The communication and overall stay was horrific.

Our stay at Villa Gaeta was absolutely amazing! The staff was exceptional, and we particularly enjoyed the delicious breakfast they prepared for us one morning.However, there are a few practical details for future guests to note. The "Purple Room" is located on the top floor and is accessible only by a spiral staircase. Additionally, due to the property's old plumbing system, guests are asked not to flush toilet paper; instead, they request that all used paper be placed in the provided trash can. Also the wifi only works on the ground level of the house

Overall. Our stay was great. Mary was very attentive even before check-in. She answered all of my questions leading up to our stay and allowed us to check in early as the home was ready. She and Lalo were awaiting our arrival with lots of information and greeted us with guacamole and margaritas. The view is great, the location cant be beat and yes a huge hill to walk up, my 65 year old in laws did it once. The first night we had chef Doria prepare our meal. She made so much i canceled the chef prepared breakfast i had previously asked for. What I didnt like is continental breakfast was served only once during our stay. Sunday they do not work. Ok, but Monday, Doria wouldnt show up until 9am. None of us sleep past 7 so we were pretty hungry by 9. Day of check-out, we left at 8, so we didnt get continental that day either. Not sure who eats breakfast at 9 but that was way too late for us.Only other issue is 3rd floor bedroom shutters do not close so you hear all noises and it doesnt get dark enough in the bedroom. Joy, the owner should consider black out curtains or new shutters. Other than those things, we had a great family time. Mary made special accommodations for my toddler so he could sleep in our room. Big thanks to Mary!! Lalo was there at check out to help with bags. Id stay there again with friends and make them sleep on the third floor hahah

Wonderful property

Doria, Tony, and Mary were all wonderful and very receptive to our needs. Tony and Mary both speak English which made things easier. Doria was there every morning (except Sunday) with continental breakfast and it was wonderful. We asked Doria to cook two evening meals for us and the diablo shrimp was far superior to what my daughter had at the Blue Shrimp by the beach. Her enchiladas were also very good. Doria always left us the leftovers so we could eat that the following day at lunch. Our beds were a bit hard so Mary purchased bed toppers for each of the beds for us. The pool area was wonderful and having a private pool was the best part of our stay. We packed our own floaties so we could lay in the sun in the pool (then we left them as they don't pack well and only cost me 5.00 in the states on sale). We had issues one day downtown getting a taxi to take the four of us back to the villa - not sure what their problem was - but since our son speaks fluent Spanish, we just used Uber the majority of the time. We had some issues with the gate to lock at night to the upstairs bedrooms - recommend you ask Tony to explain that before he leaves the first day. We felt very safe at the property. There were fireworks every night down on the beaches or at the resorts - really nice - we could see them from the pool area. There is a building that blocks part of the view of the ocean but you can see around it and it really isn't a big deal. The property is so beautiful.

Clean, Friendly property

Great location although if one is physically challenged, this may not be for you. We were disappointed that there were only 4 lounge chairs instead of the 6 shown in the advertisement (since there were 6 of us). The heater in the pool was broken, which was also a disappointment, since it was a selling point for the condo. More towels in the bathrooms would be a plus. Fresh pastries were available on only the first day and just fruit and juice for continental breakfasts for the rest of the week. Otherwise a truly enjoyable stay in Old Town! The property manager (Mary) and staff (Doria, Tony, and Diego) were very accessible, friendly, and responsive.

Our Happy Place

We love staying in Villa Gaeta. Mary and Doria are kind, attentive, and helpful. The setting is so picturesque and airy. It feels like a very classic Mexican villa. The walk into Zona Romantica is short, though steep. But walking to and from the villa makes us feel like we can skip the gym because we sure get our exercise in. This was a return visit, and I will surely be making another in the future. Huge thanks to everyone at Villa Gaeta.

Amazing Views and Location

We enjoyed our stay at the villa. The location and spaciousness of the property are amazing, as were the staff, especially Mary who helped us when we became lost a few times in taxis or on foot. The big downside for us was that the pool heater had broken a few weeks prior to our arrival and the part was not available locally and was going to take weeks to fix. We are Canadian and used to swimming in cold lakes but the pool was really too cold for us to enjoy and was a disappointment. The only other negative is the plumbing and not being able to flush any toilet paper which was a little off-putting. Otherwise, great location with lots places to walk to and enjoy.

Living the good life!

We felt very welcome and well looked after during our stay at Villa Gaeta. It was such a treat to have somebody else do the dishes, make the bed, provide breakfast, and take care of the little details like calling us a taxi that would show up on time to take us to the airport. Daria is a wonderful cook! Her French toast and Heuvos Rancheros were amazing. We would definitely stay here again

Great Traditional Open Air Villa

The house is a really cool open air layout with fantastic views. Everything was really well thought out. All the rooms were comfortable with good clean bedding and the living area and kitchen were spacious and had all your needs taken care of. Breakfast was prepared fresh every day and always tasted fantastic.

Awesome Villa

We were a group of four adults staying at Villa Gaeta. We loved the layout of the home and the open space kitchen/pool area was awesome. There was plenty of both sun and shade seating options by the pool. Bedrooms were all lovely with king sized beds and views. Staff and communication with house manager was excellent. Close walk to shops and restaurants.

Traveling Group from Chicago!

Our stay at Villa Gaeta was amazing! From the onset, we received a warm welcome from answering questions pre-arrival to our actual stay. The property and amenities are top notch. Upon arrival, Mary and Tony greeted us and walked us through the home and explained in great detail how to navigate the home and guidance on the surrounding area. The view from the main area is stunning, even with the condo building which obstructed the view (NOT the owners fault). The staff was friendly and extremely attentive. Having fresh breakfast in the morning is a very refreshing touch and is something we definitely enjoyed. (Thank you Doria, Tony, and Lalo!) Honestly, could not ask for better assistance with maintaining the upkeep. I would highly recommend staying here if you are traveling with family or large group of friends. This place is truly a gem.

Beautiful Villa Overlooking Zona Romantica

Villa Gaeta was just as beautiful as advertised in the listing. The location was perfect and allowed us to easily walk back and forth from ZR. As other reviewers have stated, the hill back is no joke and we sometimes took a cab back at night. Mary was very helpful and was nice enough to get us some provisions to have on hand prior to our arrival. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Stay

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Villa Gaeta! It was immaculately clean upon arrival and maintained throughout the week. Doria’s breakfasts were amazing and a lovely start to each morning. The pool was great to return to every day and Mary was super helpful in arranging taxis for us. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend-better than expected!!

Great stay in Zona Romantica!

Really great property, love the indoor/outdoor area downstairs with the pool. Staff is helpful and the breakfast was delicious. Walkable location, although Ubers are nice to take back up the hills.

A Week At Villa Gaeta

We have been coming to PV for 10 years and love the old town and getting into the neighborhoods, Villa Gaeta has a great location, and old PV-style open living. The beds were great, very clean, and maintained. The staff was exceptional. Be prepared to walk some stairs. We will be going back soon.

I highly recommend this place

Mary and the rest of the staff were incredible. They made this staff extra special with the amount of detail, hard work, and care they put into the property and accommodating the guests. The property was beautiful. My 5 friends and I loved staying here. It had a beautiful view and we loved swimming in the pool whiling taking in that view. The location is pretty close to the bars and restaurants. We ubered mostly because we didn’t want to walk up the hill to get to the place but if you’re more physically fit, go for it! It was a little difficult to find initially but Mary was very communicative in helping us find the place when we go there. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at this place!

Excellent Location to Zona Romantica (Romantic Zone/OldTown)

Four of us (2 couples over 50) stayed at this property for seven nights in February 2023. The location was perfect & although the property is located up hill from downtown, it was far more walkable than other areas we have stayed in the area; however, if you are not into walking or out of shape, please plan to take a taxi or Uber to/from the house. The property manager, Mary, was extremely helpful and responsive to all of our questions and issues. The staff (two) was there every day except for Sunday from about 9:00 am until 1:00pm. Doria prepared a continental breakfast each day which included fruit, danish from a local bakery, coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice. The villa offered a menu of other breakfast options which we had prepared twice but found the prices significantly higher than going downtown to eat. We did not opt to have any prepared dinners at the house as there was a cost to prepare, a cost to shop and the cost of the food — again, much cheaper to go out to explore the many amazing and extremely affordable restaurants PV offers! Having stayed in other staffed villas in PV for the past 15+ years, this one did not offer the level of service we have received in the past, so if you are looking for pampering or service beyond a continental breakfast and bed making, this is not the villa for you. The house is a lovely, older authentic Mexican home. It has not been updated and could use some refreshing (bedding, towels, furniture, etc.).Overall, just fine!

Our Spanish Colonial, fully staffed private home offers the perfect environment to relax from the time you first rise in the morning and take the first breath of fresh air onward until you retire for the night. We simply fell in love with this property when one of us noticed that we had not left the villa the entire day to shop or hang out at the beach. Lounging around on the deck laid back with a good book in such a perfect environment, with such perfect view from every room was vacationing in the truest sense and fantastic!! This is Villa Gaeta Mexico...a full, relaxing vacation and time well spent before returning to a busy schedule. We look forward to our own get-a-ways to the villa, a minimum of two or three times a year. This is the Villa Gaeta Mexico we so desire to share with our guests.

We are fully staffed and upon request offer great homemade Mexican food and other cuisines cooked by our on call chef. We are in walking distance to town and beaches, yet we offer a feeling of seclusion and being far away.
