Perched on 21 acres of rolling, wooded hills, this charming 1-bedroom cabin is part of the Lonesome Pine Cabins community, a cluster of 12 rustic log cabins that offer sweeping panoramic views of the Virginia and North Carolina foothills, including stunning sights of Buffalo Mountain. Whether you re planning a romantic getaway or a solo escape to recharge in nature, this cabin provides comfort, charm, and convenience.

Inside the Pilot Mountain Cabin 1, you ll find a warm and welcoming space with everything you need to unwind. The main living area features a futon for lounging or additional sleeping space, cable TV for evening entertainment, and rustic finishes that reflect the mountain charm of the region. A fully equipped kitchenette includes a stove, oven, microwave, and small refrigerator, perfect for preparing light meals and snacks during your stay.

Upstairs in the cozy loft is a queen-sized bed nestled beneath vaulted ceilings, while a full-sized futon downstairs offers additional sleeping space. The cabin also features a large jacuzzi tub, perfect for soaking away stress after a day of hiking, exploring local wineries, or scenic driving along the Parkway.

Step outside and take in the fresh mountain air from your private porch swing, overlooking the Parkway and surrounding peaks. In the evenings, gather around the community fire pit under the stars, this is the kind of peace and quiet that only the mountains can offer.

This pet-friendly cabin allows up to two pets for a small fee. Guests must review and agree to our pet policy and pay a small pet fee before arrival to bring their furry companions along. With easy access to nearby towns and attractions like Mabry Mill (25 minutes), Mount Airy (26 minutes), and Primland Resort (45 minutes), you re never far from a day trip or a cultural experience. And for those willing to venture a little farther, Winston-Salem, Roanoke, and even the new Hard Rock Casino in Bristol are within a couple of hours drive.

Essentials are provided to make your stay stress-free, including linens, towels, basic cookware, and a few starter items like soap, toilet paper, and paper towels. The cabin also offers keyless entry for a smooth and simple check-in.

Our mountain properties are nestled in the woods, which means you re truly immersed in nature, it s part of the charm! That said, while we take every measure to keep our properties clean and comfortable, you may occasionally see a bug or critter during your stay along with other wild life including bears and deer. This is completely normal for a forested environment and part of the rustic experience. We recommend keeping doors closed and food sealed to help minimize visits from curious insects. If you re especially sensitive to nature s little visitors, feel free to pack some bug spray for added peace of mind!
