The Host didn’t communicate that he had a second driveway entrance. He only gave us instructions for one driveway entrance into the rental home. We asked if he had ample space to turnaround and park a truck and boat trailer. He said yes there was ample space. However, that was not accurate. We pulled into the driveway and couldn’t turn the truck and boat around without driving over his plants, bushes and shrubs. It was way too tight to turn around a 20’ bass boat and a crew cab truck. We had to back out of the driveway and it is steep. I couldn’t angle the trailer due to his mailbox location right beside the driveway. So the bottom of our outboard motor had to drag in the road and it damaged the lower unit. We also busted a tire on the trailer trying to back around the curbing. The Host failed knew we were bringing a boat and failed to mention the driveway continued around the front of the house out to a different street and that we could park in the driveway. It was 10pm when we got there and dark. We couldn’t see any additional entrance (and we are not sure that’s even true as it doesn’t show on Google Maps. We couldn’t stay since we couldn’t leave the boat on the side of the road. We had to get an expensive last minute hotel room for two nights. The Host was very difficult to deal with trying to get a refund. He clearly didn’t communicate to us about the second drive entrance (if it’s even true) and that could have prevented everything that happened.
