This two-week rental was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable, especially given that it was during the winter holidays. The heater was so loud it caused the entire house to rumble, and although we notified the owners immediately, they did not attempt to fix it for six days. During that time, we had to borrow space heaters from friends just to stay warm.On the second day of our stay, the propane tank ran out, leaving us without hot water for two days. This is completely unacceptable for a winter rental and entirely preventable—no responsible owner should leave a propane tank unfilled for a two-week stay in the dead of winter. We also had to stay at the house to meet the propane delivery driver.To make matters worse, the stove stopped working on Christmas Day.Because of the holidays, we were unable to find another rental in the area and were forced to stay despite the lack of basic necessities. The owners refused to offer any partial refund, claiming the rental was already “58% off” for a long-term stay, even though heat, hot water, and a working stove are fundamental expectations regardless of price. We ultimately had to dispute the charges through Vrbo and received a partial refund that way.This experience caused significant stress during what should have been a relaxing holiday stay. I strongly suggest you do not stay here. The issues we encountered were serious, avoidable, and poorly handled by the owners.

We remember, as the world struggled under the weight of the pandemic, the trees around us stood untouched by fear, their leaves lush, the blossoms vibrant, as if reminding us that life continues, patiently and faithfully. From those days, we came to believe deeply in nature's power to heal.

Throughout our life, we have sought opportunities to help patients and support communities to be their best. We'd like to share our little retreat with the hope that you, too, may find healing, reflection, a sense of self, and moments of peace.

We love to travel, to discover the rhythm of new places, and to experience the heart of each culture. We also cherish art, music, and books. We hope you enjoy your stay with us. We’ve learned so much from our guests and look forward to learning about you as well.

We were drawn to this neighborhood for its unique balance between quiet seclusion and easy access to everything the region has to offer. Tucked away in a peaceful setting, it feels like a retreat from the busy pace of everyday life.
Yet just a short drive away, guests can explore the charm of Bellingham, access the international airport, visit nearby state parks, lakes, farms, Silver Reef Casino Resort, Mt. Baker, or even take a quick trip across the Canadian border. This location makes it possible to enjoy the energy of city life during the day and return to a calm, restful place to unwind in the evening, the best of both worlds.

What makes our property unique is its peaceful waterfront setting with direct beach access and the rare opportunity to catch both a glimpse of sunrise and sunset from the property. Guests who enjoy the outdoors can spend their time golfing, playing pickleball, swimming at the community pool, or simply relaxing.
Built in 1992, the home has been lovingly maintained since the beginning. The original owner cared for it with great attention to detail, and those thoughtful touches remain throughout the house today, giving the space a warm character that guests often notice and appreciate.
