We loved the location and the views! The decor & appliances were modern. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, glasses, mugs & utensils. The jacuzzi was clean & hot! The host was extremely quick to reply to any questions. We would happily return to this home in the future.

This home had the most stunning views of any home we’ve rented in The Sea Ranch over the years. It was so amazing and calming to watch the Pacific throughout the day from our windows, with nearly constant pelican flybys to enjoy, and gorgeous sunsets each evening. The location is perfect for walking to Whale Watch Point and the Gualala Regional Park. The house was clean and very comfortable. We would love to return!

We have been coming to Sea Ranch for over 40 years, this home is in our top three. The location can’t be beat. The home was clean, well-appointed, and had amazing views of the ocean and star filled night skies. We loved being steps from the bluff trail and Gualala Point. We will definitely be back!

This was our 25th anniversary and this was the perfect place to spend it. Love to hear the waves hit against the rocks at the bottom of the cliff.

First of all the home is quite beautiful, modern and with a great artistic flair. It seemed larger than its size, due to the big windows overlooking the ocean and the trails. We thought the living room leather sofas were quite comfortable and chic. The TV is large, and the wifi works well throughout. We have Xfinity/Verizon and our cells also worked well. The kitchen was good size and well stocked. As mentioned, bring your own spices. The upstairs bed was quite comfortable.I personally loved that the trails we just outside the home, and walked every day. In September the pelicans are around and flying by the ocean almost constantly. Yes, the upstairs shower was a bit awkward, as I am tall and if someone walks by on the trail they could see you. However, it didn't turn out to be a problem.A couple of issues: The King bed downstairs is dated and does need to be replaced. The shower vent up high in the upstairs bathroom could use a new spring and new updated vent. When the wind really blows it's definitely noticeable, especially at night. additional comments: There has been mention of blurry windows. When there is fog and mist, the windows will get blurry. So we had clear windows for awhile, which was great, and then big winds and mist happened. It's just a thing.Also, the host management team were always very responsive, which is most appreciated...Giving this a five star review, and hope it helps other travelers!

This review is long overdue...we had such a FANTASTIC time here I had to share, that the booking, communication with host, architecturally stunning well equipped house, location and overall incredible feeling of just being there makes the Pacific Overlook a 5 star experience. The bluff trail passes right in front of the home, so as long as you dont mind the occasional walker by being able to see you in the LR and kitchen, its perfect, with filtered views of the ocean. BR's are private so no worries there. One of the highlights is being so close to Gualala, and once on the bluff trail, its a beautiful stroll to the main beach, the interesting drfiftwood sculptures and 1,000 pelican gatherings. We cant wait to return!

Grand Welcome was very responsive. We loved the house! The view was amazing; there are no houses between you and the ocean and you can hear the ocean! The heated floors were wonderful. Wood fireplaces. Very new appliances. Enjoyed the pools. All three pools are open during off season now. Bring what spices and condiments you want. The markets up there are kind of expensive and there aren’t a lot of restaurants. The house had salt and pepper. It was a beautiful house. We truly enjoyed every minute of it!

This is a very nice home and it compares favorably to many other rentals that we have had at Sea Ranch. As with all rental listings you need to take the app enhanced photos with a grain of salt. It's a nice home in very good condition but not pristine as the photos make us believe. An industry deception unfortunately. As the other reviewers noted the windows are filthy. Oceanside homes get a lot of salt everyday and it's an understandable problem. But these windows have probably never been cleaned and they were covered with seagull crap not just salt. There is a lot of glass...a good thing...and a lot of bird crap...a bad thing. I found a "playskool" hose on the property and washed the windows everyday. Salt came off more or less but the bird droppings did not budge. It would be nice to have the windows cleaned before the next renter and then have a brush, a real hose and a squeegee available...it's not a big deal to me and others I assume to do a few minutes work when necessary in order to have a beautiful view. Kitchen appointments were very good....especially the pots and pans....except for no broiler pan or cookie sheet for the oven. The other stuff was okay but some items need replacing....living room area was a bit sparse...both things typical of a rental. No lamps bedside. No backboard on the upstairs bed. Windows...get that very severe and very important problem solved and it is a great home.

We recently stayed at this home in Sea Ranch, and unfortunately it was not as advertised. While the location is beautiful, several issues significantly impacted our stay.The biggest concern was the lack of privacy. The downstairs primary bedroom faces the public coastal walking path, and the blinds were broken, leaving the large windows uncovered. We had to stack pillows and chairs against the windows so people walking by couldn’t see us sleeping.The upstairs shower also lacked privacy. There is a window visible from outside with no curtain or privacy covering, and the shower itself has no door or curtain.There were also maintenance issues. Several window frames were damaged and began separating when we tried to open them. On top of that, many of the large picture windows were covered in dirt and salt buildup. The ocean views are the centerpiece of this home, so it was disappointing that they were so dirty you couldn’t fully enjoy them.Finally, the black furnace in the living room rattled and banged constantly whenever the wind picked up. Since Sea Ranch is known for windy conditions, this noise lasted throughout the night and was so loud we couldn’t even hear the TV.The location is amazing, but the lack of privacy, maintenance issues, dirty windows, and excessive furnace noise made this stay disappointing. I would not stay here again and hope these issues are addressed for future guests.
