Ocean Views+Saltwater Pool/Spa 5BR Carova 4x4 Beach Retreat - aka Sweet & Salty

Welcome to Beach Bound, a privately managed 2nd row family beach retreat located at the widest section of the Carova 4x4 beach. Access to the house requires 9 miles of beach driving, appropriate 4wd vehicles only.

Newly built in 2022, our well-equipped beach home features 3 levels with 5 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, multiple decks for both sunrises/sets, easy beach access (2-3 min walk in either direction), saltwater pool, hot tub, game room, and panoramic ocean views from the kitchen and main living areas. The house sleeps up to 14 guests, with two king master suites each with private bath, walk-in shower and private deck. Up to 2 dogs are permitted with a pet fee.

Amenities and key points include:
A large saltwater pool, hot tub, outdoor shower, gas grille, sea kayak, beach chairs and assorted gear, game room with pool table and shuffleboard, and assorted games and puzzles. Carova is an off-pavement experience and home to wild “Banker” horses of Corolla, who roam freely and visit the house regularly.

Floor by floor:
The top/3rd level offers a primary king master suite and main living areas, including an open fully stocked kitchen and great room with vaulted ceilings, living and dining areas, and half-bath on the landing area as you head downstairs. Enjoy decks on the east and west sides for both ocean and sunset views.

The second/middle level provides the main entryway from the front porch and offers 3 bedrooms, including a 2nd king master suite with private bathroom, a queen bedroom, and a bunk room with 5 beds. The queen and bunk rooms share a full bathroom off the hallway. The laundry is also located on this floor.

The lower/1st level includes a game room with a 6’ pool table, shuffleboard, and queen sofa bed, as well as a 5th bedroom with 2 queen beds and a full bath accessible directly from both the bedroom and game room. This level also provides exits to the pool, hot tub, and all outside areas. Parking is available in the driveway area in front of the house.

We are located in the Northern OBX of NC. Norfolk, VA is the closest airport, approximately 108 miles by car. Map view shows 2 miles to VA border, but the property is only accessible via Rt 12N.

Technical:
Wi-Fi is available on every level, with a Smart TV in the great room, 3rd floor master and 1st floor game room. A Bluetooth speaker is provided in the 3rd floor great room. Reliable cell service is available via a nearby cell tower at the Carova Fire Station.
