Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I really enjoyed my over month long stay. The room was quite cozy and it was difficult for me to depart. I have a few recommendations to make the experience better. 1. The Security personnel working during the day was not very familiar with their duties and responsibilities regarding the unit. I constantly called Rental management of how to complete the process. 2. Update the instruction guide and instructions. The document is very outdated. 3. The bed, bathroom and kitchen was very tidy upon check in but the counter tops and entertainment area required deep cleaning. 4. Several times I was abruptly disturbed by unruly guests due to mistaken identity. Not the fault of the company just for your situation awareness. 5. Ensure your guests are fully aware of all rules and regulations...no one should be surprised of privileges or restrictions...ie gym usage. All in all I had a wonderful time and I highly recommend to anyone for sort or long term stay.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The booking and check in process was very easy. The unit is satisfactory to unsatisfactory. The deck area (where we spend most of our time) has dirty walls. The pillows on the patio furniture are thread bare. The microwave was old and rusted out and needed to be replaced. The kitchen dishes and appliances need to be thinned out and some replaced. The bathroom vanity collection of items need to be cleared out. More cleaning tools needed for long term stays. Pillows need replacing. Couch bottom cushion is very uncomfortable. While we were here the air conditioner and microwave were replaced promptly. Would we rent here again? For sure ....few updates are needed to make overall experience better.

The rug on the floor when I arrived is charcoal and needs a good cleaning, There are stains on it in a number of places. There was a problem with making local phone calls. I arrived on Saturday. I had to get the AOAO office to phone the owner on Monday. The TV wasn't connected to the cable. A person came Monday afternoon and corrected it. It took a few more days for the phone to be corrected. I was told I had to use 1-808 plus the phone number to make a local call.I could not get the key fob initiated until Monday as well.

Good accommodation

I’ve stayed at the Island Colony for the last 5/6 years and this was probably my favorite room thus far. The place had everything needed when it comes to cooking. Couch was hard but wasn’t a big problem. A/C is louder than normal but you could look at that as “white noise”. The building is right along Ala Wai so traffic can be heard but again “white noise”. Both of those were really no problems. Check in and check out was very easy and communication was great. I’d definitely stay here again.

Convenient location and reasonable price

Conveniently located to access many places; restraints, shopping mall, beaches and many others. The fee is reasonable. The only problem I had is traffic noise.

Island Colony

I have stayed at the Island Colony about 8 times during the years. The condo is almost as pictured. Was disappointed with the bedding but they did give us new sheets. The comforter was okay...not as pictured. The sofa however was a mess you could not sit on it at all. It had no padding. They did temporarily fix it with a foam mattress pad but it needs new cushions which is what I thought we were getting. Staying there for a month with the sofa like this was very difficult. Hopefully they will fix this problem. Other than that the unit was nice.

Enjoyed!

Check in was a little complicated, but the owner did his best making it as easy as possible. The place was exactly what we needed for the week. The building had a lot of amenities.

Perfect for just the two of us!

Didn’t book a place to stay on Oahu just to stay in the room the whole time, so this property was perfect for two when we were here. Everything was clean when we arrived. We were provided with enough towels. The lanai was beautiful. The bed was very comfy. I am happy with the price for this stay.

Reviewer Comments: Very convenient location we walked to everything we needed, groceries at Food Pantry, bus for excursions, shopping, dining , we are not beach people so it didn’t matter not being really close but is 4 blocks away. The closer you are the more you pay. The kitchen area was a little cramped but workable,no oven but we used the microwave and BBQ . Over all was an excellent 1st time Hawaii visit and would stay here again.

Great holiday getaway!

My girlfriend and I wanted to escape the cold and what better way to do that than going to Hawaii! Island Colony was perfectly located close enough to all the shoppes and restaurants but far enough for all the noise and craziness. The unit was clean and and had a great view of the canal and beautiful mountains. The bed was very comfortable and bathroom was clean and fully stocked with toiletries and towels, the kitchen was very clean and had all you needed to cook any meal you wanted. The only down side of this unit was the sofa which was not comfortable at all but we really did not spend much time sitting inside and we couldn't connect to the wifi of the unit. The pool and BBQ area was under construction which was kind of a bummer but the beach wasn't far away. As a total experience we loved it and will be coming back!

Nice stay

Very clean . Comfortable bed. When I got there, we used wifi code that was in booklet. That wasn't updated but the office called right away and we figured that new code was on phone in the room. $80/ night is a great deal except the extra fees that come along with it. The extra fees really adds up.

well maintained condo,close to beach,shopping and the bus. Would recomment this unit

I have stayed in this condo now for 4 years ( 2 years being under different ownership ) It is clean and well maintained .Well stocked with shampoo ,bath hand and dish soap and Kleenex Could use a bottle of all purpose cleaner Kitchen well stocked but could use a bowel for making salads Bed is very comfortable . All in all, the condo is very cozy and nice lanai for dining and relaxing All in all,I recommend this condo for comfort and close to the beach and shopping. I also like the building .excellent security. The keyless door entry is very user friendly Enjoyed having WiFI I think the cleaning fee was a bit excessive I would recommend this condo Marc

fare cost-benefits

This rental has everything you need. Clean and ready for use. Great location in the heart of Waikiki. The internet connection is a problem, slowly and poor communication during the entire rent!!! The welcome card and the chocolates were unexpected pleasure indeed..

Great Location for All Downtown Attractions

This rental was exactly as described. Pros: Great location, easily able to walk to all of Waikiki. Cons: Parking is an additional $30/day if you have a vehicle.

This unit need some maintenance

This unit should be have a new lugs and bed spring .Uncomfortable bed Painful spring!!Linens & beds were old & no beach towels. In the closet is left a lot things.If I had been seen in advance I would have never booked this unit.Also Air conditioner has mold smell.But View & pool were nice.

As advertised, this was certainly a clean and well furnished studio within easy walking distance o

We were delighted with this rental, everything was clean and ready for use. It was extremely well supplied with lots of cleaning materials and items that meant we could settle in without having to immediately run to the store for supplies. The owner was quick to respond to an internet connection difficulty we experienced and it was fixed in a timely manner. The card and welcoming chocolates were an unexpected pleasure. We would certainly recommend this rental to others.
