Relax and enjoy nature, wildlife and starry skies on this sprawling estate 7 minutes from Buttermilk Falls State Park, Robert Treman State Park, and 15 minutes from Ithaca. The home is newer with all of the modern comforts, yet set on a historic farm with a pre-civil war barn as a backdrop on one side and endless fields and rolling hills on the other.

1 king bed and 2 queen beds in 3 bedrooms provide ample, comfortable space for groups or to provide a quiet workspace. Fast wifi in every room, new appliances, new smart TVs and HE washer and dryer provide all the conveniences of home. Enjoy morning coffee on the covered porch, dine on the deck, or stay cozy inside the spacious house with plenty of space to work, play or relax. Deer are regular visitors in the backyard, along with many other wildlife friends. Enjoy nature and the beautiful views from this gorgeous property.

Visit Newfield, the home of the oldest covered bridge in the nation, and enjoy casual dining and a great time in the quaint restaurants and bars in Newfield. Breweries, cider houses and wineries are minutes away. Ithaca is an easy 15-minute drive.

Awesome place to stay! We came to hike the state parks and explore the area, and coming back to relax at this beautiful place was a highlight. Great home base for our adventures! The host was super nice as well. Would definitely recommend and hope to be back!

Great house and great location. We primarily wanted to check out the state parks in winter while we visited our son at Cornell and we were very happy to have chosen this property. It felt as though we had our own vacation home- private, comfortable and quiet. We really enjoyed the area. Lore was great and had great recommendations.

Such a wonderful home! We so enjoyed this cozy yet expansive property! We experienced a winter wonderland with deer visitors, an amazing big red barn backdrop, comfy furnishings and great views from every window. Newfield was new to us and we love it! What a great little town just outside Ithaca. Our new favorite place to stay when coming to the Ithaca area! Can’t wait to come back to the Bauernhof!

Excellent experience. This home is in a very peaceful location with great views everywhere you look. It's furnished and decorated very nicely and the beds are so comfortable that I had my best sleep in ages.We are so glad we branched out from staying in Ithaca. This is just far enough out to feel like the country, but Ithaca is just a few minutes away. It's also very convenient to 2 phenomenal state parks.We loved our stay and will definitely be back.

The house is perfect! Big open front room with sliding doors that reveal a huge, beautiful property set in the mountains and trees. Bedrooms are just as described, with comfortable mattresses and bedding. If you're open to being about 25 minutes outside of downtown Ithaca, this place is worth the drive!

We had a great time at this beautiful place! Kitchen has everything needed to cook a big meal, and nice new appliances. Plenty of room for multiple people in the kitchen. We also loved eating out on the deck while seeing the expansive nature view and the distant hills and listening to the many birds. It was perfect.

This is a fabulous place. We had the most wonderful time both at and around the home and exploring all of the things to do nearby. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful and the quaint town of Newfield is such a treasure! Getting to our son in Ithaca was easy, and it was great fun staying just a bit outside town in this gorgeous area and gorgeous home. Lore was a very gracious host, we didn’t need for anything. We will most certainly be back, and can’t wait!

This was the perfect retreat for me and my wife while visiting our college students. The beds are extremely comfortable and the home is appointed with everything we needed. We truly enjoyed having coffee in the mornings and a glass of wine in the evenings on the porch, enjoying the beautiful views, privacy and wildlife. Host was very friendly and available to answer questions when we asked about restaurant recommendations, we got some great ones! We will absolutely be back on our next visit.

Newfield is quaint and relaxed. While we spend plenty of time in the city of Ithaca, we like to enjoy the slower pace of life (and traffic) here and absolutely love the dark skies for stargazing and the endless nature.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Our property is home to a huge pre-civil-war barn, and old stone wall ruins throughout what is now the forest. There is plenty of history here, but the house is only 15 years old, so you can enjoy modern accommodations while being surrounded by history, nature and wildlife.
