We had a great time spending Thanksgiving at this lovely house which has a great location and plenty of room for my family. Enjoyed having 31/2 bathrooms and the beds in the bedrooms were very comfortable. Having two golf carts made getting around easy and we could also split up and go to different destinations.

The home was spotless and in a great location. The upper deck has a beautiful view of Old Baldy and we had a flock of Ibis hanging out the entire time. We love staying in the maritime forest and this location didn't disappoint. I would have given 5 stars but the home is showing some wear in the bathrooms and the bedding and carts were in need of TLC. Otherwise a great property, clean and the one issue needing attention was addressed immediately on a Sunday no less. Highly recommend.

Wonderful house and comfortable stay

We had a wonderful week in this fantastic house. The rooms are all well laid out, and each of the three bedrooms feels spacious and inviting. My three kids (ages 8, 11, 14) were comfortable in the bunk room. We stayed in the house two years ago, and since then the owner purchased a new, larger bunk bed. The mattresses in all the rooms were firm and extremely comfortable. Each room has a private bathroom attached, with great water pressure in every shower. The kitchen is nice to cook in and well stocked with cookware and dishes. The fridge has been recently updated and is very nice. The entire house was extremely clean (and we have high standards!). John (the owner/manager) was extremely responsive and texted back immediately each time I reached out. We had a small issue with one of the toilets and John and his team had it fixed immediately. We really love this house and hope to be back next year.

Paradise!

We love Bald Head, have stayed close to a dozen times and I think the family consensus was that this is our new favorite place. Great location with views of Old Baldy and wildlife, comfy beds and seating/couches, nice kitchen, all of the beach essentials, and well maintained. Basically everything that matters for the perfect Bald Head vacation.

We loved it!

Great home, just as described in listing! The owners and the property manager could not have been more attentive. We had a wonderful vacation and didn’t want to leave, and are already looking froward to next year. A special feature about this home is the nature in the backyard. There is a gator who floats down the waterway in the morning and evening, we watched him/her from the deck and screened porch. We also saw so many beautiful birds and some deer. The beach, BHI Club, Old Baldy and The Turtle Conservancy are just short rides away.

We gave this home a10. We have been to Bald Head since 1974. Clean...spacious and a great back yard. A lovely time was had by all. Would love to rent again.

Great Experience

It was our first time on BHI and we had a great time, the house was centrally located to marina, market and beach. The only negative and it wasn’t a big deal, we could not get the dish washer to work.

Great lazy weekend!

Emmett’s Place was a great rental! More space than pictures seem to show. After multiple visits to BHI, we knew the common things we needed to pack. Some extra benefits of this rental were Roku televisions, plenty of linens and blankets, detergents, books, and games. Inside of the home was very clean. The outdoor decks, porch furniture, and garage could use some cleaning for all of the spiders and webs, but that is normal for being in a wooded area. Communication through messages and in the binder were very helpful. Thank you for a great weekend!

Lovely Home/Great Wildlife Views!

Our friends had a lovely week at this home. They saw alligators, Kingfishers, Egrets, and many deer while enjoying the upper deck. They were all very comfortable and happy :-) The owner was extremely helpful and kind.

Loved the house! Beautiful view and conveniently located to marina and grocery store

Had a great family vacation. Had great beach chairs and 2 umbrellas for our visits to the beach. 2 nice golf carts. The only thing we needed that we didn’t have were bikes. We were able to rent them in the island but would have been nice to have. Would definitely stay again

Always a great time on Bald Head!

Great location on the island. The house is fairly well-kept and perfect for a small group. Watch out for wildlife in the water at the edge of the back lawn. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a large gator eating a turtle in the backyard!

Nice vacation on Bald head

The property was fine, some wear and tear, which I can easily overlook! The big disappointment was that the bunk beds were deemed by the parents of my grandchildren too dangerous for my grandchildren to use, so child slept on the lower bunk, one in the single bed and one on the floor. When I contacted Lindsay about this, she first implied that they had "fixed it" and I had waited to long to register a complaint. then she implied she had told owners about the problem and owners refused to get new bunk bed. She said I had to contact owner through VRBO. So here I am... we love coming to Bald Head and will return. We liked the house but it was not as represented in the description due to the bed issue. Therefore, I think a refund of some sort is in order.

Great stay

This house was perfect for our group. We had 4 adults and 3 teenage girls, so was wonderful that we all had our own full bathroom. Perfect having 2 golf carts and the kitchen was stocked with all the amenities. Location was good, close to marina and only a short drive to Shoals club and market. Would definitely consider staying in this property again.

Photo's don't do this wonderful home justice.

Initially, we booked this home for our small family (two adults, one 12 year old), but when we got there we were pleasantly thrilled by how large the home was. The photos don't do justice about how lovely this home is. It is much larger than it appears. Plenty of space for 4 adults and three kids if needed. The home is beautifully furnished and very clean. There are two patios, one on the ground floor which is screened and one upstairs which is not. Upstairs has a lovely view of Old Baldy, the golf course, and the noisy birds. There's no downside to this property, but no bikes are available but that's not a major problem as they are easy to rent for $25 a day.

We had a lovely stay with a beautiful view of Old Baldy. The house was well appointed and the beds were comfortable. Plenty of space for my family. The property manager was a thorough communicator. Thank you for your hospitality.

Nice house but wasn’t as clean as I’d like . Housekeeping needs to step it up a notch ! They forgot to put pillow cases on a couple beds . Outdoor areas need to be blown or at least swept off between guests . Outdoor shower is only cold water. Only one roll of tp per bathroom? And like one bath towel per person. I don’t know about most people but I certainly don’t want to do any laundry when on vacation. No laundry soap provided either so we did have to buy that as well as extra tp. The owner is very nice and apologetic; communication was excellent. Two golf carts was a plus .

Excellent location, quiet neighborhood!

The house was a perfect location for us because we traveled by boat from Charleston SC with friends so we wanted to be close to the marina and restaurants The house is very cute and has a beautiful view of Old Baldy! Comfortable furniture and living space. We loved having the two golf carts since we had two couples so we could do things separately. I communicated primarily with the host who was extremely prompt and helpful with responses, answers to my questions and resolving any issues we had. House needs a little TLC but overall very cute and comfortable! Thanks for a fun stay on Bald Head Chris!
