House was beautiful. Loved the inside and all the decor. Some of the neighbors stipped and told us so e history of the house. And we loved the wrap around porch. Everyone really enjoyed their stay.

Exceeded expectations!

Charming, restored historic house loaded with character and amenities. Lots of room to spread out, colorful artwork, comfortable beds and chairs, quiet neighborhood, and the zoned air controls were a plus. Highly recommend!!

Stayed at this property over Memorial Day weekend 2023

We stayed with family and friends at this wonderful house in Colonial Beach, VA. This is a wonderful and cozy house, close and walking distance from the beach. Interior of the house has lots of spaces and wonderfully decorated. The beds in each room was great. We enjoyed the hosts excellent art collections. Only thing we noticed in some lamps the bulb did not work but that was not an issue for us as the ceilng lights worked. Edward and Eric, thanks for keeping this house in such a wonderful condition. We highly recommend staying in this house and I am sure we will be back again. Kaberi

Weekend Getaway

We have rented various homes in Colonial Beach over the years and were excited about this home because of the number of bedrooms/bathrooms to accommodate our group.Pros: the number of bedrooms/bathrooms are ideal for large groups. Beds and AC were comfortable. Plenty of space to spread out in the home. Ample parking. Easy walk to the water and restaurants. Cons: the home was not very clean. Visible dust accumulation leading to filthy feet/socks. One shower rod was on the floor upon arrival. We rehung it, only for it to fall again and never going up the rest of the stay. Another shower rod fell in a different bathroom and also remained down during the stay. After seeing some ants on the counter, we found a tremendous amount in a cabinet with open bags of sugar. We threw them away but continued battling ants during our stay. Making breakfast was a little challenging as the burners are very uneven, thankfully we ate the rest of our meals elsewhere. Screened in porch has rips in the screens making it unusable. I reached out to the owner, who replied quickly to my message. For us, the cons outweighed the pros. We will not be returning to this home unless there are visible signs of improvement.

Charming & Eclectic House

The house was a wonderful, charming, quirky place. It's decor and art made every room unique and warm. We've previously owned a 100+ year old home, and this had all the charm and privacy of a smaller-room style, but some open space for big family game time. We were there during an extremely hot week, and the dual-zone A/C was a bonus! Edward was courteous and responsive, and we really enjoyed our stay. The beach is within walking distance, though renting a golf cart would be advisable (especially for my older parents who joined us). Overall, we really enjoyed our time away here!

Great vacation at Colonial Beach

Everyone in our party had a great time. House is as pictured and better. Everything is close or walking distance, gulf cart rentals available definitely recommend. Host is very responsive. Will look to rent again.

Suggestions

The living conditions were comfortable and clean, however; we would’ve thought with the number of rooms there, that only one T.V was in the house. In past rentals we’ve been provided shampoo, body wash, extra towels etc. In addition, everyday seasonings were limited in the Kitchen. There was also quite a bit of small ants in the Kitchen counter area.

Wonderful House!

We are a group of retired couples and spent 3 nights over New Years Eve. The house is wonderful! It is immaculate, very comfortable and really charming. The large eat-in kitchen is well stocked with dishes, appliances, cooking pots, seasonings etc. There are various living rooms to sit in as a group or some alone time. And a large dining room.. With 5 bedrooms, It is a perfect place for a group of friends or relatives to gather.

Beautiful fall weekend in CB

Absolutely perfect for family to enjoy the fall weekend in Colonial Beach for a fall wedding. Plenty of room for everyone to space out and fully equipped with all our needs and then some. Would stay her again FOR SURE! BEAUTIFUL HOME!

Lovely Property in CB

This property was exactly as expected from the accurate photos. Sparkling clean, very comfortable bedding, great spaces for visiting, well stocked kitchen, and all soaps, wraps and paper products provided. Our dogs loved frisbee in the backyard! Beach was close by, very nice walking around the quiet neighborhood. Edward, the owner was so helpful and check in and communication went really well. The house has been renovated while still capturing it's original charm. Would love to know the history and process of restoring this great place! This home was terrific and I would highly recommend it.

Lovely, eclectic house a few blocks from the beach

This is a lovely house in a cute little beach town on the Potomac. The house had all the amenities included--linens and towels, hand soap, pots and pans and grilling accessories, and basic cooking needs (oil, sugar, etc.) Appreciated how many basic things were included, like handsoap in each bathroom, coffee and pods for the machine, etc. There were multiple living rooms so we could spread out to walk. The house is filled with eclectic pieces of furniture and we loved all the artwork and personal touches. Very short walk to 7-11, a few restaurants, and the boardwalk area. The beach was not too crowded, which was fine for COVID.

It was great!

We rented this house because our family was in town for a wedding and it had the perfect historic feeling while having updated features where it counted, the kitchen and bathrooms. It was a pleasure to stay here. The only suggestion I would have is to add another tv in the home so that you had options.
