Escape a los pinos frescos

¿Buscas escaparte el fin de semana o una semana? Esta cabaña de 1800 pies cuadrados está ubicada entre los altos pinos Ponderosa, ¡de unos 100 años de antigüedad! El sabor del paraíso está a solo una hora y media en coche de Scottsdale.

La cabina tiene dos pisos, la historia principal está en el segundo
piso. Hay dos dormitorios arriba, uno con una cama queen
y el otro con dos camas gemelas. Arriba también hay un
Baño completo, sala familiar que cuenta con un sofá cama queen y cocina.
Abajo hay otra habitación familiar con otro futón queen,
Baño y lavadero. Esta es la configuración perfecta para dos
parejas o dos familias, ya que permite a cada uno algo de privacidad. Existen
dos televisores y reproductores de DVD, uno en el dormitorio principal y el
otro en la sala de abajo de la familia. Tengo varias películas que me puedes prestar. WI-FI también está disponible.

La cubierta envuelve todo el segundo piso para que puedas
elige sentarte al sol o a la sombra, lo que prefieras. Ahi esta
una barbacoa de gas y una hamaca que puedes usar. La cabaña tiene tres
chimeneas; Dos de madera y uno de gas. Los de madera están en el
arriba habitación familiar y dormitorio principal y el de gas está en
La sala de abajo de la familia. Hay una pequeña tarifa por madera o usted

La cabina se encuentra en un acre y medio de tierra y respalda el
Bosque Nacional. Es bastante privado y tranquilo. Si caminas
en el bosque alrededor de un cuarto de milla al anochecer y estás

en verano y otoño. ¡He visto hasta 20 a la vez! En el

The listing states that this is a 3 bedroom. The third bedroom is really a downstairs living room. Since we traveled as 3 couples this did not provide the expected privacy of a bedroom. Knowing this would have changed my decision to rent. Additionally, the cost exceeded the value.

We had a great stay at the cabin! It was cute and cozy with all the amenities needed. We appreciated that there was no tv in the living room (only the bedroom) so we could cozy by the fire at night and enjoy each other's company. The wrap-around porch and view of the forest was our favorite. We hopped over the fence and took a nice stroll in the forest. I loved feeding the squirrels and birds from the deck and seeing deer and elk in the yard! It was also a quick 5 minute drive to restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay here again!

Enjoyed our stay. The wildlife were very entertaining, and we appreciated the firewood and squirrel peanuts. There was a good feeling of privacy on the wraparound deck. We did groan with the stairs up to the deck and the spiral staircase, but that's just us (in our 80's). Would suggest a coffee table in the living room next to the kitchen - need a place to set down drinks while enjoying the fireplace. Overall, a great getaway.

Away from the heat!

Nestled in the pine trees made it very private.Centrally located between Strawberry and Payson and close to Pine.The deck around the house on the second floor was an A. Sitting on the deck in the mornings and evenings was wonderful! The deck also kept the dogs safe from running around the grounds down below. Nice stay.

I loved this property, the cabin had everything we needed, but we really went for the land and it didn't let us down. The space around the house is very nice and secluded, there was a herd of Elk that would come by daily, they were very calm and not scared of us as long as we kept a respectful distance. We had dogs with us, they loved the wrap around deck, they had a great time playing in all the open space, we went across the fence into the forest and went exploring there, it was nice easy hiking that the dogs loved as well. If your dogs have long hair, you may want to put on booties, there are the round pickers that will get in their hair.

A Cabin with a Great Wildlife Experience

Private as it’s backed up to national forest. As others have indicated, the spiral staircase was a challenge for our dog, but the outside stairs that lead to the deck worked fine.The wildlife does not disappoint. We saw squirrels, woodpeckers and other birds, elk that came to the feeder and a few deer. The national forest is right behind the cabin and there are some good hiking trails that are easily accessible.Great experience overall and I would highly recommend the cabin.The host, Rhonda, was also great at responding to our communications.Stayed 3 nights in March 2025.

Not a good experience

When I arrived, the back bedroom with the twin beds had a strong urine odor. This was an issue with another guest from a previous review. The response from the host was that "the cleaning crew used Pine Sol and wondered if that might have caused the odor." I know the difference between the smell of Pine Sol and urine and that was definitely urine smell. Could NOT use the BBQ grill. There was so much debris on the bottom tray and heat deflectors that when I turned on the grill it all caught fire! I turned off the burners and gas to the grill, but the fire was still spewing out the back of the grill. Luckily the flames dissipated without having to use the fire extinguisher. The response from the host was that "the grill was fine the week prior to my arrival. Must be that the people before you used it a lot." The remote for the garage door did not work. There were spider webs on the deck railing, on the gate latch, and one of the sliding door handles. Most of the webs were in the corners of the railing. There were dirty dishes when I went to use them from the previous guests. Specifically, some of the small bowls had food remnants. I believe from the hosts responses to my emails is that the cabin was not inspected just prior to my arrival. I was disappointed with my experience and will not return to this cabin; the only highlight were the elk that came through with their baby calves. That was amazing to see!

Excellent host with fast and friendly communication! Squirrels, chipmunks, birds eat from the feeders on the wraparound deck and Elk that stop by for snacks at a trough on the property. Would highly recommend!

Stoney Hollow is my favorite place in the world. There is just something special about being there. It might be the tall pines and listening to the wind in the trees, or backing the National Forest, or feeding the squirrels, woodpeckers, hummingbirds or deer. I just know that I need to get away there every so often to rejuvenate. When you stay at Stoney Hollow you will realize that you are staying in my home and not a hotel. It is friendly, rustic and inviting. Welcome and enjoy!
