It's the perfect oasis whether you’re coming to town for a Gator game, planning a long-term stay, or looking to explore the natural beauty and vibrant culture of Gainesville and North Central Florida.
Our home is located in one of Gainesville’s most desirable neighborhoods. Walk to shops, restaurants, or the Saturday-morning farmers market in Haile Village. Enjoy miles of well-groomed biking and walking trails. Or just relax in your own private oasis.
We are conveniently located near major attractions in Gainesville:
- 4 miles from the University of Florida
- 4 miles from North Florida Regional Medical Center
- 6 miles from Shands and the VA Hospitals
- Less than 3 miles to Celebration Pointe, where you can park and ride to Gator football games

The kitchen has everything you need to feed a crowd — including a large collection of cookbooks for inspiration! In addition, there’s a gas grill and additional dining space by the pool for casual meals.

We also have board games, yard games, smart TVs, fast WiFi, lots of books, a wireless sound system, and bikes you are welcome to use on the neighborhood trails. All the attractions of Gainesville and North Central Florida are a short drive away.
If you are coming to Gainesville for work or a longer stay, you will appreciate the quiet neighborhood, 500 Mbps WiFi with a mesh network for coverage throughout the house, and dedicated workspaces. Our wireless printer is also available for your use (so long as the technology cooperates).

I'm a longtime Gainesville resident, having come here for college and then returning as a faculty member at UF. I've now moved on to a new career, but this is still home. We hope you will enjoy the space we have lovingly created while we are away.

Haile is one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Gainesville. Our house is located on the cul-de-sac of a beautiful, tree-lined street of single-family homes. A short walk away is the Haile Village Center, with access to the Saturday-morning farmers market, restaurants, a coffee shop, and boutique shops. Also nearby are miles of well-maintained biking and hiking trails. Even in the heat of summer, the trails are usable because of the shade provided by the many trees in the area.
All the major attractions of Gainesville and North Central Florida are just a short drive away. We are just four miles from the University of Florida campus, six miles from Shands and the VA hospitals, and less than three miles from Celebration Pointe, where you can park and ride to Gator football games.

Enjoy the best of Florida living with a spacious, open floor plan that connects indoor and outdoor living spaces. The pool patio features a dining table, seating area, and grill powered by natural gas. We love to cook and eat, so you will enjoy a well-stocked kitchen and curated collection of cookbooks for inspiration! There is ample seating in the dining room, kitchen countertop, and outdoor dining table.
The bedrooms are comfortably equipped with luxurious bedding, a choice of firm or soft pillows, room-darkening shades, and sound machines. You can expect to get a good night's sleep while you're here!
The indoor living spaces will also make you feel at home. The family room features a comfy sectional sofa, leather chair and ottoman, gas fireplace, and 80" smart TV. The adjacent sitting room has a piano, seating area, and turntable with a collection of vinyl records. We also have a wide selection of board games and puzzles to keep you entertained!
If you have work to do while you're in Gainesville, we have dedicated work spaces in two of the bedrooms. Both have external monitors that you can plug your computer into, and the printer is connected to the 500 Mbps mesh Wifi network. One of the workspaces features a height-adjustable desk with electric motor, so you can choose between sitting or standing while you work. There's even an under-desk treadmill to keep you active while you're at the desk.
