The Good Life River House luxury barndominium is located at access point #1 of the Santa Fe Paddling Trail with numerous springs to explore! Guests can access the river directly from the property or from the High Springs boat ramp through a gate on the property. This stylish retreat offers seclusion and peaceful river vibes just a few minutes from downtown High Springs, close to UF and Shands.
We have all the amenities for a great stay, including a large fenced yard, kayaks, floats, games, & fire pit. The property is a natural forested setting with abundant wildlife and dark night skies!

We had an excellent stay. Everything is very clean and well stocked. The layout is perfect for our group and is the nicest place we've ever rented, especially considering we are allowed to bring a dog. This is our second stay at this property and we are impressed by the improvements to the backyard. We hope to book again for future visits to Gainesville.

Absolutely amazing stay!! The house is so clean, comfortable, and more than equipped with all the essentials. We are big on cooking at home and had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the river and letting the kids wade in the water. So many squirrels and birds with the sound of quiet nature. The boat ramp is close, but also feels far enough away to feel private. We enjoyed the public boat ramp as we got to socialize with some locals, all of which were extremely friendly. The town is quaint with some of the nicest people, and the nearby springs were epic. We can’t wait to return! Thank you for sharing such an amazing home!!

It was a wonderful place to stay! Our family came in to celebrate my nephew getting married. There was plenty of space and the locations was awesome too! Kim was prompt in her communication and very helpful! We enjoyed making a big breakfast on Saturday before getting ready for the wedding festivities! This host is so intentional with all the amenities provided and they have thought of anything needed! Including 2 safety pins needed when my daughters dress had a few issues before we left :) We will definitely tell others about this place and try to stay again when we come back to visit family.

Our long weekend on the river with our best friends was nothing short of amazing. This property is truly a little slice of paradise. From the moment we arrived, we noticed the extra thoughtfulness and attention to detail throughout the home. It was equipped with everything we needed and so much more, making our stay comfortable and effortless.The home was clean, spacious, and offered plenty of room both inside and out to relax, gather, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. One of our favorite parts of the stay was experiencing the wildlife. Early mornings at the boat ramp brought sightings of deer and even otters, while the backyard was full of nature’s entertainment with crows, squirrels, and a variety of birds.One piece of advice for future guests planning to kayak: be mindful of current water levels. During our stay, the river was extremely low. We attempted to kayak west/downstream from the property and turned what we expected to be a relaxing paddle into an unexpectedly challenging 3-mile, 2-hour adventure. If you’re planning a kayaking trip, we highly recommend putting in at the bridge on Highway 27 instead.Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better getaway. We made wonderful memories here and would happily return.
