Beautiful home. Lots to do with paddle boards, kayak and dinghy. Gorgeous views, great location. Communication with host was top notch. Overall so much magic here. We will definitely be back!

It was a beautiful beach view. We were right on the beach. The sunrises were beautiful. The cottage had all around windows so any window you looked out you had a beautiful view.

This is a fabulous place. Two walls of the living area and one wall of the main bedroom are filled with huge picture windows, giving you incredibly gorgeous, nonstop views of the bay—from all over the house. I’d rent this place again for the views alone. But I hope to rent it again for many other reasons, too: a well-stocked kitchen, a very nice and responsive owner, thoughtful amenities, charming decor, and welcoming touches through out. It is wonderful place for a vacation.

Wonderful stay!

The cottage was perfect inside and out. The view was priceless. The driveway is narrow and steep but provided the privacy we wanted. The only problem I can think of was our time there was too short. Thank you for letting us stay in this gem you have in Sooke, BC.We will definitely come again :)

Loved this quaint little getaway place. Everything about this quirky little home was perfect. There were 5 of us and we had the best time. We enjoyed a constant fire inside and outside on the beach. Its private and very peaceful ✌️.

Quiet, peaceful and relaxing

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sea Wash cabin. It was the perfect spot by the water that truly made you feel like you were in your own little world. The place had almost everything we needed, it advertised a travel crib that we were planning on using as well as a high chair but they were not on the premise. We were able to find our own solutions so didn’t bother the host. It was a great place where we could enjoy some alone time after the kiddos went to bed. We would recommend this place to people and would love to come back!!

So relaxed

This was a wonderful stay! Beautiful views, wonderful hosts, fully equipped kitchen, hot tub, outdoor hot water shower. Our weather was fabulous and every person we came in contact with was upbeat, nice and helpful.

Relaxing in beautiful surroundings.

My husband and I loved the cottage and the everchanging scenery. From wake up calls from the geese to low tides where you could walk the beach. The house is beautifully appointedfor every need. Only issue was trying to find a chair or couch that had a little support. In the living room. But overall a great visit. Thank you.

A magical place

This cottage is wonderful. The decor is lovely. Beds, bedding and lines are comfy. Eveything you could need in the kitchen and bathrooms. The owner has kayaks and fishing gear. The setting is idyllic. From the cottage we saw otters, deer, geese and a bald eagle. My son caught trout from the pier. Loved being in Sooke away from the bustle of Victoria which is just a short drive away. Don’t miss out on going to the Potholes. If you drive just outside of Sooke to the west be sure to go to China Beach and Mystic Beach. From the cottage itself to the property and setting it’s perfect in so many ways.

Home away from home

This is our 2nd stay and we hope to make it an annual tradition. Seawash feels like home away from home. Every little touch that the house offers provides a cozy, yet luxurious, stay. Kitchen is stocked well, you only need to bring food. Ample room for the adults and the teens to spread out and have space. And most importantly, a hot tub to start and end the day with. Shelley is a kind and thoughtful host, we can’t wait to return!

A piece of paradise

Truly rejuvenating! So lovely! To watch the beautiful sunrise, to hear the splashs from the seals, watch the interaction between the different birds while enjoying that first cup of hot coffee….what a wonderful way to start the day! Sea Wash was so inviting and comforting. Hope to visit again soon!

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful time staying at the cottage. This was our first trip as a family of four and I forgot to mention our need for a pack and play and high chair when booking. I had no problem contacting Shelly who was extremely accommodating and I was able to grab them from the property immediately. My 15 month old loved standing in front of the open French doors and just looking out, she was so happy with all the windows and breathtaking views. So much to do at the cottage and surrounding area for families with young children. We will be coming back!

Absolute Gem!!

We absolutely loved our stay here! Quaint little cottage that was beautifully situated and right on the water! Very well equipped with everything we needed plus some. Beds were very comfortable and we all slept amazing every night! We would definitely consider staying here again should we be in the area. We made great use of the kayaks as well and we’re thankful there were plenty of life jackets as we forgot ours. Also enjoyed the sea otters and sea lions as well as a little visit from a deer on the driveway. Many thanks for another great vacation week for our family!

My husband and I purchased this property because you just can't have a house any closer to the water!
Jeff was raised in Sooke so knows the area very well he said this place has it all Fly fishing at your doorstep salmon fishing minutes away and the town of Sooke 2 minutes away.
I love the peace and quiet, watching the wildlife, sipping wine in the hot tub, reading by the fire or entertaining friends with fresh crab caught right next to our float ... heaven.
