Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We live the location of the rental. It is very close to the lighthouse and pier and close to ride bikes to stores. The condo does need some updating. The furniture and flooring has been updated, but the kitchen and bathrooms need to be updates. The pocket doors to the one bedroom have been broken the past few years and don’t close completely. The kitchen felt dirty. The cabinets looked dirty inside and the layout is not very good. There was food on the baseboards. The wire shelving in the closets were rusty. There were ants in the twin bedroom. The price for next year has gone up $1000 per week. For that price it should be more updated.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Really enjoyed the stay at Bandy Beach. The condo was great with plenty of room for our family. Was able to eat in with no problem and able to find private space for everyone. Made constant use of the lanai. Had four adults and two small children. Rented bikes to have at the condo and made several trips to ice cream, other beaches and even the Farmer’s Market. The condo location was close enough to walk to lighthouse on the beach. Pool was never crowded or loud. Best surprise was the utility closet below stocked with beach gear and pool toys for the kids. Only downside was the master bedroom mattress which is overdue to be replaced. But overall a lovely place to vacation.

Love Sanibel and Bandy Beach but . . .

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have visited Sanibel every summer for 30+ years and Bandy Beach specifically for that past eight. We liked this unit for the most part. Pans for cooking are lacking but otherwise nice and very comfortable. The only problem was the water quality and issues caused by red tide. This is the first year we experienced this at this location. It's very sad but if it continues, I probably will need to look at other locations for a family vacation. We love visiting Sanibel during the summer but it's a safety issue. We will be working hard to vote for those politicians who will work to correct this and to make our schools safe by putting in place reasonable and effective gun control. Hope you do the same!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Condo was very clean and spacious. The door to the laundry room was broken and not repaired during the stay. But, that was pretty minor. The condo was not ready at 3:00 for check-in. I was traveling with my mother in frail health and had asked if at all possible for the condo to be ready early. I was told that while there could be no guarantee an effort would be made to adjust cleaning schedules. That 100% did not happen. My mother waited in the heat while the cleaning crew arrived just before 3:00 to begin the cleaning process.

We spent a lot of time on the huge screened in lanai with the gorgeous view. The pool was refreshing. The beach was amazing. We love the east end location because the lighthouse and the pier are both walkable as well as our favorite Lighthouse cafe.

Love Bandy Beach—will be back next year!

We live the privacy, the pool, the beach, and the 3 bedrooms, 2 baths. Beds are comfortable and kitchen is well stocked with what we needed to cook. Would love to see some new living room furniture when we come back (for 2 weeks), in 2022. Unit is clean and live the screened in lanai.

Plenty of furnishings in the unit to eat/cook at home daily and plenty of seating for family/guests in the dining & living rooms as well. Unit stays cold, has a great view and easy access to the beach/pool, can’t really ask for more! Grounds are well kept, pool is deep (not many places go past 6’). Would certainly recommend to anyone who’s looking. Sanibel Holiday has probably been the best agent we’ve worked with so far, very friendly & accomodating.

This increase drives up the cost to insure the trip as well as Florida occupancy taxes. The magnitude of this increase is usurious and unjustifiable as there were no property improvements for 2021-2022 season.

Private Retreat Overlooking the Gulf

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Bandy Beach Association is a very small, very quiet beachfront condo association. This unit (though given the number A101) occupies all of the second floor of this building, so it is filled with light from all sides. It also feels very private--with no other unit right next to you. The lanai is very large, with a dining table that will seat 8. The unit is well decorated--avoiding the overly cute beachy look. Like many condo rentals on Sanibel, you'll need to provide your own spices, coffee filters, etc., though there were several keurig coffee singles available in the keurig machine. (There's also a regular coffee pot.) Though the kitchen layout is somewhat awkward, the unit is spacious and good for a multi-generational family vacation. We will be returning.

Great Girls Trip location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great getaway week with girlfriends on the island. Super happy with our location and accommodations. Being just steps away from the beach and not far from the lighthouse allowed for daily walks on the beach and many fun finds by and in the water. Going in September we experienced a few places closed for renovations and cleanup before the rush of high season but with mostly locals on the island we didn’t have long waits anywhere and little traffic. Weather was warm but with beach and pool it made for a great hang week with friends. Our unit had everything we needed to cook in, relax inside or sit outside snd enjoy the view and summer air. We basically had the pool and complex to ourselves, based on time of year. Fortunately, we experienced none of the negatives that we could have going in September. Great week.
