Good Value in an Amelia Island Plantation Tennis Villa

This was easy and comfortable, and great to explore the Omni Resort and AIP community. Everything else, from downtown Fernandina to beachs an easy drive.

Perfect for our quick trip

We brought our dog with us for this quick house hunting trip. Great location in very quiet section of the Omni property. We walked our dog on the beach most days and enjoyed our stay in the condo.

Wonderful place!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Great Tennis Weekend at the Omni Resort

Wonderful experience staying at this Tennis Villa inside the Omni Plantation Resort. I played tennis at the resort and the Courts were well within walking distance. I found the Villa to very clean except for some floor areas needing a little more attention; not a reason to not give the property a 5 star rating. Only complaint I had was that I could not find a wine or beer bottle opener.

Great location on Amelia Island, but poorly managed

Another company has taken over rental management of this property. It was only partially cleaned for our arrival, dust and hairballs on floor. Porch unusable due to caked on dirt. Absolutely no information for new tenants in the unit. Didn't know if we could use the tram, the tennis courts, or how to get beach access! Worst of all was the antiquated tube-projection LG TV (Circa 2010) in the living room. Resolution so bad you can't read text, For crying out loud, a new 43" 1080p flat screen can be bought for under $300! The ancient technology in this unit was unacceptable. Oh yeah, the refrigerator's ice-maker doesn't work either!

Nice with a few exceptions

Booking was easy, communications with VRBO staff timely. We stayed 7 weeks. Our initial entrance to the unit was a "musty" smell, maybe the unit had not been used in a while or maybe its just the tropical environment. Initial inspection found the unit to be very clean. Since we were there for such an extended time, I did do some cleaning of my own. When I swept under the TV cabinet, bed, night stands, etc. there was dust as well as what appeared to be dog hair, and a pair of underwear that was lying over the electrical outlet in the bedroom. We had a significant plumbing problem but it was resolved quickly. The description did not indicate (at least I never saw it) that this unit has a lock out. That unit was used most of the time at various times who had a dog, would sometimes hear the dog(s) bark but to the point of being irritating. The bed was comfortable, the musty smell never went away. The kitchen supplies were simple ok for our needs, but the toaster, electric can and manual openers were useless. The TV in the living room is old. The unit backs up to A1A but did not hear much traffic while inside. It's a very pretty area, walking distance to the beach. With these few exceptions we enjoyed our time.
