Welcome to The Clark, a unique mid-century located in the heart of downtown Metropolis, Illinois. Inspired by the fun and mysterious vibes of Superman, The Clark occupies the entire second floor of the Carriage House, which is original to the property. Recently renovated, this space offers all the modern conveniences you need while retaining its nostalgic charm. Each stay ensures a thoroughly cleaned and sanitized environment, giving you peace of mind. Ideal for couples looking for a romantic getaway or a weekend retreat, The Clark is a hidden gem that combines style, comfort, and an unforgettable experience. Don't miss out on this perfect accommodation in downtown Metropolis, where you can explore the beauty of the surrounding area. Book now for an experience you won't regret.
The Clark is located on the second floor of our carriage house, just a 0.4-mile walk from the iconic Superman statue.
We are conveniently positioned in the heart of downtown Metropolis, only 9 miles from Paducah, Kentucky, and halfway between St. Louis and Nashville. This charming small-town setting offers easy access to local restaurants and specialty shops. The suite features a fully equipped kitchen, complete with a stove, oven, full-size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster. The living room includes a Samsung TV with complimentary Netflix, Fubo (with live TV), HBO Max, and more. Additional amenities include a queen-size bed, a private bathroom with a two-person shower, and a vanity.
Newly renovated and fresh, our suite offers all the extras of a luxury hotel room plus more! It includes one comfortable queen-size bed with a memory foam mattress, a sofa that folds out to a futon, and a blow-up mattress for additional guests—along with all necessary bed linens. The suite consists of one bedroom, a living room, a bathroom, laundry facilities, and a kitchen. The bathroom is equipped with a two-person shower stall; there is no tub. The unit has its own dedicated heating and cooling unit, and we change the filters frequently.

Welcome to our little slice of Metropolis, where we celebrate our love for our hometown and its favorite son, Clark Kent. We moved to Metropolis, Illinois, three years ago and have fallen in love with its small-town vibe and the feeling of being your own superhero.
We are Danny and Jana Worthington. We have been married for 32 years and have shared many adventures. We look forward to giving each of our guests the experience we have always desired. This has been a lifelong dream of my beloved mother-in-law, who was the ultimate hostess and dreamed of running a bed and breakfast for years. Although she is no longer with us, her passion for entertaining and hosting lives on through her family, whom she loved so deeply.
We are here to assist you during your stay and to help make your experience in Metropolis magical. Its always a good day to have a SUPER day in Meteropolis, Danny and Jana
