Sweet Retreat

3rd year on Folly Beach and this cottage was by far the best! We loved the porch and view and the house was cozy and comfortable. Hope to stay here again!!

Charming

A long weekend getaway for my child and I started with lovely sunrises over the ocean from the front porch and ended with sunset walks on the beach. The house was decently equipped with the basics and felt cozy and charming.

Peace and Tranquility

A wonderful, cozy home with spectacular views. Just the rocking chairs on the screened in porch looking out over the ocean is enough to make me come back! The house was clean, with fresh flowers and everything you would need for a relaxing stay. I highly recommend it!

Fall break vacation

We loved our stay! It was very comfortable & relaxing. It had all the amenities we needed. The house was within walking distance to pier and downtown. We rented bikes and rode on the beach. We saw dolphins near the lighthouse. Watching the morning sunrises, seeing stars at night, and being close to the beach was perfect. Thank you!

On the beach in Folly

You can’t get any closer to the beach at Folly. We enjoyed every minute and when the weather wouldn’t cooperate, we could still enjoy the beach and beautiful views from the screened in deck. The house was clean and well appointed. We hope to stay again someday.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cottage like feel and the tranquil porch made a perfect peaceful getaway! We also enjoyed being able to walk to restaurants. We would definitely stay again!

Great Trip

Everything was as advertised. We enjoyed our stay very much. The few questions we had after we arrived were answered immediately so the property management people are all over it. The house was great and the location was perfect. It allowed us to go to Charleston every day and see and do everything but at the end of the day we got to go home to the beach which was perfect for us. We definitely would like to stay here again.

Girls Trip

The house was PERFECT! We enjoyed having morning coffee in the rocking chairs beachfront, hanging out on the beach watching the surfers and having dinners on the porch under the starry sky. WONDERFUL!!!!

No Beach Access

We pick properties that have "beach access" st part of the property. Upon arriving at the house we saw that the end of the boardwalk to the beach ended at the dunes and did not continue down to the beach. I understand that Mother Nature intervened and that can not be the property owners fault. There was a public beach access next to the property but this was not safe. It appears that someone had cut a small channel into the dunes that acted a path. It was about two feet wide and was a step angle to go up and down. Again, I understand that the beach has been compromised but this was not a good option for a beach access. My wife had elbow surgery right before we took our trip and it was very difficult, and dangerous, for her to get to the beach and back was extremely difficult. The house was awesome and Folly is always great but we felt that some warning should have ben given about the beach access. That is a priority when we book a house and it was even more important this time with the medical situation. The fact that we did not ave beach access, as advertised, was bad enough but the alternative was unacceptable. We paid extra for this and had the same beach access as the people across the street. I know you can't control beach erosion and problems like this but if someone pays extra for beach access then they should be made aware of the situation and at least offered a discount. Thanks

Excellent beach vacation!

Foursenior women stayed at Back Home for a long weekend! Everything about the property was excellent! It was a wonderful way to spend time together in a quiet oceanfront cottage that was cleaner than clean and provided all that we could need! Can’t wait to go again!!!!!

Best Folly Home

Everything about Back Home was perfect! We absolutely loved relaxing here for a week. We had some rain and cold weather, so we spent a lot of time at home working puzzles and playing cards, napping, and enjoying doing nothing.

Lovely set up for two couples

The view was fantastic and the location was great. Liked the set up of the bedrooms and bathrooms for two couples. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The only non-5 star item was the living room furniture was very uncomfortable.

Family Spring Break Beach Trip

The property is great. Right on the beach with private access. Wonderful parking and great location - easy walk to town. Great layout of 3 bedrooms. Well equipped kitchen. There are a lot of birds on the property and they are noisy !! If you are a light sleeper, you should bring ear plugs for early morning bird chatter.

Spring break at the beach
