The Space:
From its perfect oceanfront location, this home just sings with incredible views, tons of character, and fantastic amenities throughout. Whether you book it for small events, family get-togethers, or just for catching up with old friends, you'll love this place - particularly all the cool things you find here, such as the ship's helm and barber's chair. Assemble all the family chefs in the full kitchen to cook up today's masterpiece, then gather in the enormous living area for cocktails, music, and great conversation. Later, head down to the water for an evening moonlight stroll and ocean surf.

The beach is mere steps from your home. Less than a mile up the beach, you'll find a popular spot for surfers known as 'The Washout.' Visit Shaka Surf School, one mile away, for today's lesson, or enjoy watching locals catch some of the best waves in South Carolina. Hop in the car and head to Lighthouse Inlet Heritage Preserve, just two and a half miles away. For a small donation, you can walk or bike through the preserve to enjoy views of the Morris Island Lighthouse. Local shops, dining, and the pier are just a short drive from your front door. For those interested in exploring downtown Charleston, you'll find the historic district is waiting only 13 miles away.

Easy Beach front access. Gorgeous views. Great location on Folly. House is well laid out and very unique design elements. Great kitchen and living area. Showers are A number 1. Need to get rid of old games and resupply board games. Internet is slow but when you r on the beach who cares.

I am happy to be able to leave a review for such a perfect house. First of all, the view is breathtaking and the steps from the deck lead directly to the beach. There is a full bathroom for each bedroom, plus a half bath in the entryway. Beds are comfy and three bedrooms open to the deck or a balcony. The two fridges and open kitchen were ideal since we had a large group. There were 8 of us who stayed there and during the day we had other family come over to visit and walk the beach. There were an additional 15 people on the deck and in the spacious living room and we never felt crowded. The decor is lovely and the layout worked beautifully for our group. I’m already planning our next visit with the grown kids and grandchildren. You will not regret renting this beautiful house!

This was the 2nd time we’ve stayed at this house,, awesome house… only one complaint on this trip.. the 1st day we were there they had 3 dehumidifiers in the house running (lot of noise and not too pleasant to look at). We texted and told them we would like them removed, but they didn’t come until the next day..

Great location

We loved where the house was located. Enough space for all of us. We wound up being a smaller group than originally planned. We loved the style of the house. The kitchen was nice and spacious. We could also see the sunrise and set from the deck. Loved our stay. Bummed that it’s not available this year.

Such a beautiful place to stay right on the beach and pet friendly! The views are spectacular. Place very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Communication with property manager was #1. Place is soooo comfy and roomy for our entire family. Sooo close to the water/ocean is the best ever..steps away! No comlaints at alll Would love to return!

Wonderful, but know what you're getting.

First and foremost, let's talk about the location and overall charm of this beach house. It's absolutely fantastic! The house is situated in a prime spot with breathtaking views and the beach just a stone's throw away. The property exudes a unique character that makes it stand out from the rest. The kitchen is a highlight for those who love to cook and socialize. It's surprisingly well-stocked with various kitchen utensils, thanks to what seems to be contributions of previous guests. While the items might not be the best quality, they do the job and allow you to whip up some fantastic meals while enjoying the ocean view. The upper level boasts a split-level master suite with a cozy sleeping area overlooking the ocean, complete with sliding glass doors leading to a covered balcony. The other four bedrooms on the main floor each have their own bathroom, with two of them also having doors to a deck facing the ocean. Take your time to look around at all of the details. There are thousands of those charming little things either as part of the furnishings, or hanging as art. Of course, one of the most interesting pieces, what appears to be a ship’s helm fastened to the base of the staircase. Now, I can’t be sure, but it looks like the columns used for the staircase are from ships’ masts. We just loved this house! I The living area is spacious and perfect for larger groups, providing ample room for everyone to feel comfortable. Had more, but I'm out of space..

Sunrises and Ocean

We enjoyed our stay. The wall of windows in the living room area make for a spectacular view of sunrises and the ocean. We had no problem working remotely. We would recommend including step-by-step instructions regarding the elevator at the time check-in instructions are given. Step one being to check the circuit breaker upstairs near the master bedroom to ensure the elevator is switched to on. We opted not to use the elevator since we had already unloaded our stuff by the time we realized the elevator was switched off. The location was perfect for us. We would stay here again.

Beautiful oceanfront

This home was lovely! There was always something new we noticed in the décor which is always fun. The views were perfection. Even though we had a rainy day, we were able to sit inside and watch the waves roll in and surfers brave the chill. We did have a complication with the heat and couldn’t get the main floor warmer than 60 degrees. We also had a newborn with us and we were able to communicate with the property managers but no one showed up so that was disappointing. We were only there for three nights and the sun finally came out on our last day which helped. It’s always a bit disappointing when you have a legitimate complaint and no one shows up. Without that issue, we would give it five stars!

Great location!

Beautiful, large house right on the beach! We loved the location and view! Had a few minor issues that we contacted property management about but they were responsive. Love that it was dog friendly. We would stay there again!

Great property

One of the most eclectic and fun beach houses we have ever rented. Great views, great deck, great space. High ceilings make this feel Very spacious.elevator is helpful. Lots of parking!

Eclectic decorated charismatic home

Loved the eclectic beach decor of the house and the kitchen, dining and living room space was large for all of us to gather comfortably. Location is great with lots of beach. Couple of maintenance issues were quickly addressed and repaired.

Perfect beach house!

Charisma by the Sea is the perfect beach house for a large group or multiple families - huge kitchen, all en suite bathrooms, and a spacious deck with steps to your front yard, the beach! The house has stunning views from everywhere, is comfortable for kids and adults alike, and is set-up for everyone to go back and forth all day to the beach.

Great

A perfect house to host family and friends. Great beach, close to town and enough hangout spaces for a group of 10 not to feel crowded. The elevator and en-suite bathrooms are a huge plus.
