Summerwind Cottage

The Space:
1140 Summerwind Cottage has a wonderful beach style design. A spacious great room runs from the front to the back of the cottage and the elevation lets you enjoy the ocean breezes and the beautiful fairway views. This cottage has a large screened porch for swings and outdoor dining, a gas grill, an updated kitchen, hardwood floors, three flatscreen TVs, a Blu-Ray DVD player, and wireless internet so you can stay connected during your stay. An open-air outdoor shower is available (cold water only). It is within walking distance to all amenities, with fairway and wooded views.

This cottage includes a Seabrook Island amenity card with no additional fee! The fee is usually $50/day or $300 for the week, so this is a great added benefit of this property! The Amenity Card gives you access to the Beach Club (with two outdoor pools and a beach area), the restaurants, golf, tennis, the equestrian center, and the Lake House (with one outdoor pool, a fitness center, indoor pool). Some of these amenities do have their own fees associated with them as well: such as the restaurants, golf, tennis, the fitness center, and the indoor pool. When you book a reservation with us, we send you the information on how to obtain the Amenity Card, as it is obtained directly through Seabrook, not Beachwalker.

This non-smoking vacation rental property includes parking, 24-hour security in a gated community, central air conditioning, cable TV, internet, a DVD player, a fully-equipped kitchen, a washer and dryer, linens and bath towels, a departure housekeeping service, and a starter supply of paper products and detergents.

Our arrival experience was awful. Property was in accessible due to excess rain and property managers (Vacasa) were totally uncooperative and actually hung up me twice while we tried to get another property we could aces a.Then called VRBO and was asked to send pictures of the flooding which I did and never heard anything back at all. Just awful Then another VRBO representative said we need to send them proof of purchase. Like we carry around our credit card statement at all times. Just a horrible experience all around.

Great place for a family to stay with kids. Our kids are 20 months and 6 years old and we had everything we needed to stay comfortably with them. Would recommend and would stay here again

The home was very clean when we arrived. There does appear to be an issue with ants in the kitchen which could scare some folks off (I saw where they had ant traps on the back of the backsplash) but the ants were pretty bad. The dryer sounds like it might be on its last leg and is abnoxiously loud so it may need to be serviced/replaced soon. Everythingelse was GREAT!!

We stayed in this property so that 2 of our kids could run in the Kiawah marathon - it was clean, comfortable and just the right size for 6 adults.

Summer Vacation

We have been coming to the island for years and this is the second year we have stayed in this property. The location is great. The house is generally clean and functional. The outdoor spaces and skylights could use some cleaning (lots of cobwebs, wasp nests, etc) and the ceiling in the master bath is peeling, but overall it is fine for the price and space.

Great spot for families

Seabrook is a lovely private island with plenty of family friendly activities like pickle ball, golf, tennis, pools, beach, etc. Our only issue was this was a last minute booking, many of the activities that we wanted to do were fully booked. Christmas week is a popular time to be in Seabrook Island. House was great for our family of five and short bike ride to the beach.

Seabrook cottage

This cottage was nice but in a over crowed part of the community. Description says parking for 2 ….. we have a medium size suv And we could barely get out the door after parking under the unit. No other place to park as strict rules will not let you park on the grass or on the street. Other than that it was lovely on the inside.

Comfortable, with great screened porch, 10-15 min walk from beach and pool

House is in a neighborhood but is quiet and feels private. Living area looks out through wonderful screened porch into very shady woods and golf course beyond. Pool and beach are less than 5 minute drive or 10-15 minute brisk walk. Our family would happily stay in this unit again if/when we return to the Seabrook area!

Comfortable

The place was great with good for family of 5. You do need either bikes or cars to get to the beach, but definitely easy riding distance to beach and pool. Amenity card was very nice to have with the house!

Great Location + Covers the Basics

We've stayed in this property twice now. It has a nice layout for multiple adults to stay together, is in a great location on the island for beach/pool access, & has a really wonderful screened-in porch. For some reason, everyone in our group had issues with many of the outlets in the house---whether plugging in hairdryers, phone chargers, or otherwise, the outlets were super loose and plugs would just fall out. This was the case in the bedrooms and elsewhere. The outlets in the bathroom between the twin bedrooms didn't work at all on our stay. The kitchen has limited supplies for a week's worth of cooking, so this year we brought additional pans & cutting boards. The lightbulbs outdoors in the carport and stairway needed replacing.

Seeabrook was awesome / property and customer service terrible

when we checked in the shower door in the main bathroom had fallen and chipped the tile. we called the property manager with no help. we called everyday with no support. that property needs major upgrades. customer service needs much support. I would not recomened this property to the property manager

Loved it!

We absolutely loved the villa and Seabrook Island. Beautiful, peaceful, lots to do for outdoor lovers. This was our first visit and didn't want to leave! Only issue with the villa was the washer and dryer didn't really work very well.

Convenient for a Short Trip

A super last minute trip to our favorite island. The Summerwind cottages are great for short stays due to their location on the island and proximity to beach access points. This cottage was clean & tidy, but could have used more cooking utensils, pot/pan covers, and at least a few hand towels in the kitchen.

Clean and met our bedding needs perfectly. Could not get response to messages from Vacasa. When I called they said a 2hr wait to speak to a human being.

Enjoyed our stay but would not recommend

First off, property management did a good job sending us information and keeping us informed. Upon arrival, the keys were exactly where they said they were and the lockbox code worked! The front door was covered in spiders and egg nests, we had to duck around them to get in. The entire stairway up to the door was also covered. Once inside the temps were good and the condo was.....there. Overall the place was okay but there were so many ‘attention to detail’ items that if I were the owner I would want to have fixed. From the shower door to the stovetop stains, the smell of the towels to the spiders and webs all over the back porch. The cushions had tons of stains, the comforters did as well. Thank you for the stay, we made the best of it, but we will not stay again.
