The Space:

This home is right on Sunset Beach, this darling, nautical-themed retreat is ideal for your next small family beach retreat or romantic getaway for two! Venture out a bit to discover a number of popular local attractions including Big Event Slides, John's Pass Village & Boardwalk, Hubbard's Marina, and Smuggler's Cove Adventure Golf, all less than five miles from your door!



Originally built in 1921, this fully-updated cottage boasts a compact, but well-equipped kitchen, a dining table, and a living area with a beverage fridge and a streaming-capable TV ready for movie nights!



Outside, sink into the hammock in the enclosed yard on lazy afternoons. You'll also find a shared gas grill for when you want to spice up your home-cooked menu.

Streaming TV services require guest accounts to access.

Shared laundry facilities on-site.

The home is located near a busy road, so some traffic noise may be heard at times.

I loved the location of this place and that I was to bring my dog. Kitchen had what you needed to help make your stay comfortable. It was clean and cozy- Nice shower by the way

Cute little cottage perfect for our anniversary staycation! Loved the cute little parrots outside and convenient walk to the beach. The shared lawn space was great for a little BBQ too.

This cottage was the perfect place for me and my dog on a quick 2-night trip to the beach. There’s a great shared backyard with plenty of outdoor furniture. Newer appliances with a well-equipped kitchen. My only recommendation is to improve the WiFi speed. 10 mbps doesn’t cut it these days, especially with smart TVs.

The unit was filthy with dead bugs and roach poop on the counters. The front door lock broke and we were unable to get in and had to stand outside in the sun for 30 minutes while I sat on hold, trying different lockbox key codes with the management company. There were drinks spilled down the walls. The baseboards were filthy. The toilet would not flush all of the way, and the AC unit smelled rancid because the intake was next to the trash cans outside. The courtyard was mildewed and not properly cared for. The pullout bed was stained with rust and urine. It also felt like the mattress was a topper, not even a real mattress. The main bed was also very hard and hurt our backs. My husband had to sleep in the chair in the living room. The coffee maker exploded allover the counter. I reported all of this to the company when we first got there and they assured us someone would come out multiple times, but we never saw anybody until the last day and he just complained and brought me a coffee maker. I spent more time on the phone with the management company texting and leaving messages than I did at the actual beach and the items weren’t addressed in full. I ended up getting one night returned to me, but they did not return my cleaning fee or my additional service charges when I know they have not cleaned that unit in some time. The area around the unit was also very dirty- broken bottles and one even ended up getting thrown at our car over night. Overall a really poor experience.
