New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

Let the huge, 3800-square-foot Wind Chimes ring your vacation bell. Recent additions add to comfort and entertainment, including new comforters for all beds, brand-new ceiling fans, and Roku TV sets that include streaming cable through Spectrum, upgraded high-speed internet equipped to handle multiple devices, and sleek kitchen appliances like a brand-new microwave (2024).

The ground level has a basketball goal, carport, good concrete parking, easy ocean access (walk 1 minute to the beach!), and a pool with decking and a hot tub. The first level has good outside decking, a laundry area, and a well-furnished game room with wet bar, fridge, pool table, and three new arcade machines with multiple game options per machine. The second living level has an inviting den with a TV. This level also has three main bedroom suites with private bathrooms. The third-level great room with a fireplace, tall cathedral ceiling, and miles of wraparound glass is an American beauty. The all-equipped kitchen with oak cabinetry, breakfast bar, and a nearby dining area will provide memorable sunset dining experiences. Kitchen upgrades include a new kitchen refrigerator with an ice maker and a new glass-top stove (2023). Use the new propane grill to add charred favorites to the menu. Conversations will begin in the stylish and comfortable living/entertainment area and grow on the wide ocean sundeck. Wind Chimes never misses a vacation beat.

Things to Know
The private pool is open seasonally from 4/26/2025 and closes 10/12/2025. Dates are subject to change.
The pool will open seasonally from 04/01/2026 and close 10/10/2026. Dates are subject to change.
The fireplace is available October through April.
You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.

Great home layout inside and awesome location outside. We could spend time at the pool and hot tub or do the really shirt walk to the beach. The beach is pretty secluded with the location. If you prefer, on a rough weather day you n the beach, a short drive down the road to the bay side. Convince stores almost across the road!!

Great home. great location

We had 14 of us staying (8 adults and 6 kids ranging from 10mo to 11yrs) and never once did we feel like we were on top of each other. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and private while the home amenities were enough to satisfy everyone’s needs. Windchimes has ocean views and is directly across from beach access, so it’s like having an oceanfront rental without the oceanfront price. Highly recommend

Spacious and comfortable home with easy walk to the beach, and quick drive to the Food Lion. We appreciated that each bedroom had their own full bath. We enjoyed the game room, pool and hot tub. Our family had a wonderful week.

This was a great home for our 9 visitors. Plenty of room to gather or spread out for some quiet time. Would definitely rent again, and we've never stayed at the same house twice- so that says ALOT!

Simply Awesome!!!

Even though it was 8 guys on a fishing trip, this place was awesome and perfect for our group. It would be awesome and perfect for a large family vacation as well. Plenty of room and other accommodations, a pool, hot tube, and game room. We will be back for sure.

Wind Chimes in August

Wind Chimes is a comfortable house. It looks a little tired in some areas, but worked well for us. There is an ocean view and the beach is over the dunes behind the house across the street. The pool is a good respite from the beach.

This was our third time staying in this home. We love the location in Avon, close to the beach and layout of the house. Had a few issues in the home that were not addressed and it makes me leerily to rent again. Overall, it was a wonderful week and time well spent with our extended family.

We truly enjoyed this property for thanksgiving. They left pots and accessories to prepare our meal. This property had every amenity that you could need. We were very pleased. My family plans to stay here next year. Thank you for making our staff very comfortable!

The house was not what we expected as the heat did not work right. The steps were many for the three people who had leg problems but we managed. Would not stay there again.

Great home, great location but . . .

Wind Chimes is a great home in a fabulous location. Pool and hot tub add to the enjoyment. But, the maintenance on this house is just non-existent. Problems with the home from our stay last year were never addressed and we faced the same problems this year. What is the maintenance department doing in the off-season?

Family stay July 7-14th 2019

This house had a great location to both town and beach. The only thing is that it needs some TLC. Pool was pretty worn in spots and made it look dirty. Should be painted also concrete separated from edge of pool. For this size house. Gill should be bigger. Either add a gas grill or another charcoal one.

Great Size House, needs updates

Love the size of the house. House and pool are in need of updates, pool liner, refrigerator in kitchen, alot of obvious wear, lamps chipped, woodwork worn, couch very worn and pillows on couch smelled. Was not able to check in until after our check in time due to housekeeping not being done.

Nice but..

It was a nice place but the main TV was broken, one of the dishwashers was broken, shower cutains were had mildew on them, linens on some beds were missing, windows were dirty. Just not very clean.

Great Location

We have stayed in this home multiple times. We like the location to stores and the beach. The layout of the house is great. The dryer did not work for the week which we got creative hanging clothes up. I do miss being able to contact the local office directly for issues. We did have several maintenance guys coming out but for different reasons. One came to look at the dishwasher but not the dryer, that was for someone else who never showed. Staff I spoke with was very pleasant and we enjoyed our stay.

Nice rental well maintained.

We stayed in Wind Chimes in early November. All in my party likes the house. There was plenty of space inside the rooms and beds were comfortable the showers adequate. The kitchen seemed to have a mix and match selection of glass ware but it worked. Of the two coffee makers provided nether worked. One was incredibly slow and the other leaked all over the counter. But a quick call to Vacasa Monday morning solved that problem with the delivery of a brand new maker. (Hats off). One other issue we would point out is the smallish parking area. We were all coming from different areas and drove separately parking was tight but we made it work.

Great house with lots of room

I really liked this house. The location is fantastic. The house has a great layout and lots of room. The beds where nice and furniture was comfy feel, not outdated. We enjoyed the pool. It was great to have to keep the kids busy after the beach. What I was put off by was the poor condition of the bottom of the pool. You could see the heating system. The kitchen was nice and well stocked but the stove has a burner that wasn't working. We called the office and they said someone would come that was day 1 of our stay and someone came day 6 so the day before we left. The stove was an inconvenience since we cooked in a lot and had a big family to cook for. Also with how things are, I cleaned kitchen and rails on steps because they looked dirty and indeed they were. I feel like the rails should have been clean. Will all that said, I will definitely stay here again. Can't wait to come back!

We’ve had better…..

There were soooooooo many issues. Broken crisper drawers in the refrigerator. Broken blender. Broke toilet seats. Dead bugs on window sills. No power cord or remote for the tv in the master on the 3rd floor. One eating spoon for the entire kitchen. Kitchen poorly stocked. Dust covered air return vents. Deck lights didn’t work. Over the stove light didn’t work. Spacious home but needs major work and TLC.

Hi, Jami! The homeowner is replacing the air vents, crisper drawers, toilet seats, top level TV, and blender. The deck lights and kitchen utensils have already been replaced, and the house is on a pest control treatment plan. Thank you!
