El alquiler es un ejecutivo estilo de 2 dormitorios, altillo 1 baño amueblado con una cocina completa, suelos de madera y una decoración de estilo Martha Stewart. La propiedad 1.100 metros cuadrados está lleno de muebles antiguos única que incluye una bañera con patas para la relajación y ofrece vistas de los alrededores de pastos, bosques y montañas. Jill and family were excellent hosts. The property is a pastoral, beautiful farm. Our barn loft was extremely comfortable and perfect for our Thanksgiving holiday together. They had a fully appointed kitchen with top notch appliances, easy for cooking our turkey and all the fixings. We came to visit with our daughter who lives in town. She stayed with us during our visit. We got to curl up and watch holiday movies, eat leftovers and soak up family time together. Thank you for being excellent hosts! We will be back the next time we come up for a visit!

My stay at the barn was incredible! This space was beautiful, comfortable, peaceful and serene. Down to the details and the fresh fruit grown on the property, the horses were so friendly and lovable, the peaceful farm life was just what I needed. Everything about this place was magic and I will be back for sure!

Outstandingly well furnished with all the supplies and equipment for a self sustaining getaway. The hosts, the country location, and the livestock and pets make for an especially great retreat from the city!

The Lift is such a gem! The space was perfect for me. Jill and Fred were excellent hosts! I had a wonderful stay over Labor Day weekend. The property is peaceful and quiet with everything you could possibly need. They have animals which was such a joy! I got to feed apples to the horses, chat with the ladies - aka the chickens, and admire one of the kitties from afar. I can’t wait to come back for another stay!

The most relaxing and well-stocked rental ever. Such a beautiful setting and welcoming hosts. Our kids loved the cats, horses, and basketball. The fresh eggs were amazing. Wish we could stay longer. We will be back!

Everything we were hoping for and more!

I’ll just start off by saying this was the best vacation rental I’ve ever stayed at. From the housing, to the location, to the amenities, to the host and their service, it was nothing short of excellent.My wife, our toddler (14mos), and I came up to Bellingham for a business trip. We were so fortunate to have found this property available over the Fourth of July weekend. Jill was an incredible host, greeting us shortly after we arrived. She is very knowledgeable of the area and was so kind to show us around their little farm. Ever since we left, my wife and I continuously talk about going back for another stay.If you are taking a trip up to Whatcom County and this is available… book it! You will not regret it.
Our daughter was a big fan of the chickens coming out to say hello whenever we passed by.
We spent a lot of time petting Jill and her husband’s horses. Our daughter LOVED the “neigh-neighs”.

Peaceful and Quiet Loft/Barn

My parents and I had a great stay at the loft. The most clean and well stocked Vrbo I have ever stayed at. The flowers and greenery mixed w the farm animals was just perfect! Highly highly recommend!

Fabulous Farm Stay

What a fantastic space to relax and unwind. Lovely walks in the neighborhood, lots of fun farm animals. The cottage is perfect! I have to say that it is the best stocked VRBO I have ever stayed in. What a fantastic kitchen! The owners are lovely and incredibly responsive. I loved my time here!!!

Beautiful place to stay

Really beautiful area, the loft was perfect size, very comfortable, well appointed kitchen with lovely touches. The bathroom was great and the beds were comfortable and the room nicely decorated. The hosts were great and the fresh eggs were a lovely touch and delicious! Would stay here again!

Wonderful property close to Bellingham and Mt Baker

We love staying at Jill’s wonderful barn. It’s so comfortable, clean, and well appointed. She is a really kind host who always lets our young son help with the farm chores. It’s a great location for visiting Bellingham or hiking at Mt. Baker.

This is a must see!

The farm was everything we thought it would be—from staying in a quaint farmhouse filled with ALL the amenities you could imagine, to the peace-filled atmosphere, to the farm fresh eggs the owners provided. We stayed here for 2 nights, but could have easily stayed a week and still not want to leave. The hosts were so gracious and took our 2 young boys around the farm and let them see how it all works. We had the best stay and wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

Idyllic Escape

Our family had a beautiful stay. What these gracious hosts have created on their farm feels incredibly special, and we in turn felt blessed to borrow a slice of country life for a weekend. Our children felt safe and happy. They especially loved their time with the animals. I enjoyed cooking, relaxing, and reading. I would be remiss if I left out our appreciation for Jill's sense of style and the all the little touches. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Peaceful and beautiful getaway

This is my third time staying at this property. It is peaceful, beautiful, well-appointed and all around lovely. Can't recommend it enough, especially if you like being out in the country and hearing the sounds of nature :)

Beautiful farm setting minutes from Bellingham

We had a very enjoyable month-long stay at the red barn loft. The main living space is cozy and well-appointed, the kitchen is extremely well-stocked, and the 2 bedrooms are very comfortable. We had a great time feeding the chickens and the horses. Barkley Village in Bellingham is only 10 minutes away, so groceries, restaurants, and other amenities are relatively close by. The Rome Store is a great place for pizza, beer and other essentials and it is just a mile from the farm. Jill was a great host—very responsive to any requests we had and full of helpful suggestions. She made us feel very welcome. This ranks up at the top of our list for all-time best VRBO rentals. Highly recommended!

A beautiful place to stay

All of the amazing reviews are true! We spent a week over Thanksgiving at the loft and had a great time. We had everything we needed and then some - fresh eggs every morning, and Jill even brought us over a delicious homemade pie on Thanksgiving day. Above and beyond. Having all of the animals around was a huge bonus. We would definitely stay again!

Hello our names are Fred and Jill and we are excited to have you at the Red Barn Loft. We are two professionals who moved to the Bellingham Area in 1992. We hail from Arizona and Connecticut respectively and made the trek to the Pacific Northwest after college in search of a home. We built our house with two friends and raised two boys on the property.

Almost a quarter century ago we were attracted to rural beauty of the Squalicum Valley as a place to build our home and our family, and we haven't left since!
