Designed with Scandinavian-inspired luxury, the 3-bed, 2-bath home offers the perfect base to explore the magic of Tahoe.
A custom gourmet kitchen, roll-top tub and floor-to-ceiling windows frame sweeping views of the mountains.
After a day of adventure, unwind by the indoor wood fire or soak under the stars in the hot tub.

Step inside The Blackhouse Hideaway, a fully remodeled 1,600 sq ft mountain retreat where contemporary luxury meets Tahoe charm. From the moment you enter, high ceilings and expansive custom windows frame sweeping views of forest and mountain, blurring the line between indoors and out.
The open-concept living and dining area is perfect for gathering — complete with a custom gourmet kitchen featuring a Wolf range, a dining table for six, and a cozy wood-burning fire to warm winter evenings.
On the main level, you’ll find a serene guest bedroom with a queen bed, a bright kids’ room with twin bunks, and a beautifully appointed guest bathroom with a walk-in shower. Upstairs, a playful mezzanine nook with custom bookshelves and games offers a space for little ones to play, while the primary suite invites deep relaxation with its roll-top soaking tub and panoramic forest views from one of the largest windows in the home.
The house is thoughtfully equipped with Apple TV in both the living area and master suite, plus a curated selection of board games and puzzles for cozy days in.
Outside, enjoy your private acre of forest, complete with a hot tub, gas grill, and garage with ample storage for skis, boards, and mountain gear — even a boot warmer for those frosty mornings.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING BEFORE BOOKING:
* 1 dog maximum is allowed with approval ahead of time. ABSOLUTELY NO OTHER ANIMALS ALLOWED.
Dogs are NOT allowed on any furniture. Guests will be charged up to the full security deposit if there is any damage related to the dog. Guests are responsible for removing all dog hair from the home ahead of departure, otherwise an additional cleaning fee of $100 will be charged.
If you cannot trust your dog to stay off our beds, please ensure you bring your own blankets and cover them.
If excessive barking occurs and disturbs our neighbors, you will be asked to vacate our property.
WEATHER / COVID
Our home is situated in a mountain town with variable year-round weather, including the possibility of smoke, snow, and hazardous road conditions. We do not offer refunds at all for inclement weather of any kind and unless short term rentals are subject to government-imposed closures, there are NO exceptions to this policy.
We advise guests to take out travel insurance in lieu of this - we will not make any exceptions to our cancellation policy.
WINTER DRIVING / DRIVEWAY
Our home sits on a hill with a steep driveway and in snowy or icy conditions, if you’re not confident driving in winter mountain weather, this may not be the right home for your stay.
To reach the house safely in winter, you’ll need:
*An all-wheel or four-wheel drive vehicle with snow tires, and
*Tire chains in your car at all times — even if you have AWD
In heavy storms chain controls are also commonly enforced on nearby roads regardless of AWD
In short: come prepared, and you’ll be just fine. Once you’re up here, it’s a beautiful winter wonderland
ABSOLUTELY NO PARTIES
We have loving renovated this home and DO NOT allow parties of any kind or size, no exceptions. This home is ideally set up for families who wish to enjoy a tranquil stay in the mountains. Anyone violating our rules will be asked to leave immediately.
* We are committed to following extremely strict COVID cleaning protocol. This includes, but is not limited to deep cleaning of every surface, rooms being throughly ventilated between bookings, government-approved virus-killing cleaning agents used, all linens being washed in between bookings .
* THIS IS A NO-SMOKING POLICY. Anyone evidence of smoking on our property will incur a fine and loss of deposit.
* IN winter we employ a snow plow service but there may be times where you are waiting for them to attend to the property and you may have to shovel the driveway yourself. We cannot guarantee when our snow plow company will arrive, especially during heavy storms.
* Accommodates: 6 maximum NO EXCEPTIONS includes all children above 2
*3 Bedrooms ( 1 king, 1 queen, 1 twin bunkbed) 2 bathrooms (1 shower room, 1 bath with roll top tub)
*Check in Time: 3.30 pm. Check out time 10am. Our housekeeper is always booked to arrive at 10am on the morning of your arrival so please no late check outs.
*There is no air conditioning in the house, but fans are provided
