Family weekend

We had a fantastic weekend at Cedar Chateau! The property was very clean and matches the pictures provided. Great location, right next to wisp. Easy trip over for tubing and snowboarding. House was huge, plenty of room for our group of 20. Kids loved the indoor pool and the pool table in the basement. Would definitely stay here again.

Great house! Perfect for large get-together with kids.

LOVED this house! It was absolutely perfect for our 5 families of 4. We each had a room. There was plenty of room in the kitchen for us all to cook and eat. Having the three levels let us keep noise from the kids to the downstairs while the parents slept in. The pool was a big enough size that the kids could burn off steam. Highly recommend.

Cedar Chateau

A big beautiful house with a number of mechanical isssues- including insufficient hot water for our group of 16 (or to fill the jacuzzi). The issues, including an ant infestation, were addressed during our time. There is no yard for children to play in, there is no pleasant place to walk to and the house is not in great shape. Next door was another big beautiful house filled with loud drinkers who took up at least 1 of our parking spaces. But there are lots of bedrooms and en suite bathrooms, and the views are beautiful.

Fun property

Great house and fun amenities. Hoping to come back during summer to really enjoy and soak in the location. Small leak most likely from heavy snow in the dining area but stopped somehow. Pool was fantastic and the games in the basement. Color clarity in the main living room was bad, maybe switching the basement to the main living room TV's. Hope to see you later this year. Highly recommended!

Bachelorette weekend

This was a fabulous casual stay for a get together, would recommend. The house is a tad out dated and for sure loved but it’s a nice stay. This house is the very last one so it’s kind the best spot and a tad more secluded. The only 5 cars rule was really hard for our group and there was bad weather when we were there so we kept our cars on site for safety. It was also pretty unclear where the leasing office was for spare cars. Otherwise, this place met the needs of the weekend. Great location.

Spacious

We celebrated our 50th Anniversary with a multigenerational ski trip to Wisp. There was just the right amount of spaciousness for us all to be under one roof and have a great time together. Loved that there was enough seating in dining area for everyone! Was very surprised to pay that much money and not have paper products and soaps included. We were aware of it ahead of time and brought necessary supplies, but not happy about it.

Awesome Property

My family of 11 stayed at the Cedar Chateau during Christmas week and loved it. The house is absolutely stunning and plenty of room for everybody to have their own space. Our favorite spots were the large living/dining room with its vaulted ceiling and fireplace, along with the fantastic indoor heated pool, large kitchen and 8 bedrooms, most with their own bathroom. We also gathered in the game room to play billiards and Foosball. The cooks in the family especially loved the kitchen with its two refrigerators and enough dishes and utensils to feed an army. Another great feature of the house was its view of the lake and ski slope. A few minor things needing fixing were reported and fixed immediately. However, while we highly recommend this property, we were disappointed that the hot tub wasn’t working and unable to be fixed. We were looking forward to using it after a day of skiing. We are awaiting a response from management on reimbursement for the unavailability of that amenity. Also, some of the gas stove pilots weren’t working and unable to be fixed. As suggested to management, we hope that an assessment of all major features of the house be conducted before future rentals are confirmed.

Spacious Home but needs Updating

The home fit a group of 25 with no problem. It was in a great location within walking distance to a restaurant/bar, go carts/mini golf and of course the lake. Just be aware that the hot tub only has 1 seat with jets. I noticed that a previous renter had mentioned it but iI thought that 2 years later it would be fixed. It was not. Also, many of the door locks on the sliders could use replacement. A good tug and it will open just enough to Jimmy the lock. Many of the windows in the pool area are stripped and cannot be opened or closed. That said we had a great time and would recommend the home.

Pro’s: game room, hot tub, main floor Great room; layout accommodated 4 families and 18 people very well. Great location near shopping, entertainment and parks. Well-appointed kitchen (though knives are dull). Property Manager responded promptly to our minor issues and resolved them quickly. Cons: grills had not been cleaned in far too long, presenting a safety hazard. Musty basement. Minor maintenance issues: some screen doors are bent, some window cranks are stripped. No direct Lake Access from house Overall: fantastic area and a great house for 18. Highly recommend the state parks, especially swallow Falls, and the farmers market in Oakland.

Ideal Location

Couldn't ask for a better view and location. Everything was near by. We were able to watch the fireworks from the deck. We would have rated the house 5 stars if it was properly maintained and cleaned. We found someone's pants in our bedroom, the floors were dusty and we found goldfish crackers under the couch. The toaster burnt everything, some of the pots were peeling and we had to go buy potholders because no one wanted to touch the disgusting ones in the drawer. Some of the windows were difficult to open. Some of the faucets were loose. The house itself was great and as stated before, the location was perfect.

Railey Remorse

Our house leaked big time. We were ant infested and the air conditioning was broken. The house was over 12,000 for the week and it felt like we were staying in a tired, shabby, buggy, milldewy hot box. Railey realty is a slum lord. I would never use them again and I’m not sure I would use vrbo again. You should vet your recommendations better.

Family had a great time

Property is showing signs of wear but provided us with all we needed. There were no food staples as we expected. We brought trash bags 'just in case' but there should have been spares given the importance of secure storage. We did notice that sometime in the past someone had used a pool table cue to mark the ceiling in that room and probably no one noticed since few would look up. We also noticed a small gold helium party balloon at the peak of the great room. It will come down when enough helium leaks out. It was a great time by all.

Cedar Chateau

Overall our experience was good. I did not receive the check-in email and requested it to be resent. I didn’t receive it until after we had already checked in at the property. However, the management group was very helpful and was able to give me the front door code over the phone after verifying the reservation details. We had a lot of traffic in and out on Saturday- a pool tech and a maintenance person who was responding to our call about numerous small ants in one of the upstairs bedroom/bathroom suites. The house was very comfortable and fit our group well. We appreciated that we had more privacy than many of the other houses nearby which were very close together. The hot tub got a lot of use, and the living room/kitchen/dining room was a great gathering space.
