Travel has always been our way of connecting—with places, with people, and with the feeling a beautiful space can create. After years of exploring design-forward destinations and hosting guests in our homes, we created The Desert Standard with one intention: to offer a stay that feels calm, thoughtful, and genuinely elevated.
Scottsdale has long been one of our favorite places, with its warm desert light, walkable Old Town charm, incredible dining, and endless outdoor adventure. We wanted to craft a retreat that reflects all of that—a home that’s a little raw, a little refined, and effortlessly comfortable.
As hosts, we care deeply about the details: clean, modern spaces, natural textures, hotel-quality touches, and an atmosphere that helps guests feel immediately at ease. We’re here when you need us and hands-off when you don’t, always aiming to create a seamless and welcoming stay.
We also host a second property—The Jungle Lounge in Tulum—a tropical counterpart to the desert calm of Scottsdale. Both homes are designed with intention, and both invite you to slow down, breathe, and enjoy where you are.
We’re grateful to share these spaces and look forward to welcoming you to The Desert Standard.

We chose this neighborhood because it offers the very best of Scottsdale—walkability, energy, and ease, all wrapped in a quiet, residential atmosphere. Being just steps from Old Town means our guests can enjoy world-class dining, galleries, nightlife, coffee shops, and boutique shopping without ever needing a car. Yet the street itself stays calm, safe, and beautifully maintained.
It’s the perfect balance: close to everything, but never chaotic. Camelback Mountain is minutes away, the airport is a quick drive, and the surrounding community is full of local charm. For us, it’s the ideal location to experience Scottsdale fully—vibrant when you want it, peaceful when you return home.

Our three-story townhouse offers a sense of space, privacy, and flow that’s hard to find in a walkable Old Town setting. With multiple levels, guests can spread out, relax, and truly settle into the home.
Inside, we curated a mix of natural textures, warm desert tones, and modern simplicity—paired with elevated furnishings from Mitchell Gold and Scandinavian Designs. The result is a calm, refined space that still feels welcoming and relaxed. Thoughtful touches—two en-suite king bedrooms, Camelback views from the private balcony, a heated pool and hot tub shared by only five homes, and a 77” smart TV—add comfort and convenience throughout the stay.
But what truly sets it apart is the balance we worked hard to create:
a high-end, adults-only retreat just steps from Old Town—yet peaceful enough to feel like a hidden escape.
It’s a little raw, a little refined, and fully designed for guests to feel at home in the desert.
