We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house has a good layout and the kitchen was a nice gathering space. The beds were very comfortable as well.The neighborhood was quiet and the property management team was super responsive and helpful. We'll come again!

Great location, space, and hosts

Nicely decorated home, in a terrific location, with plenty of space for our group. The property managers were very communicative and helpful. Morning coffee on the porch quickly became our favorite daily routine.We all agreed, we would definitely stay here again.

Great Vacation Home in Austin

Very cute craftsman home in a great neighborhood. Very close to everything, well maintained, very spacious. We will definitely be staying here again if we come back to Austin, made our trip a better one.

Great place to stay in Austin

We lived in Austin for many many many years and just recently stayed here to spend time with family and friends that we left behind. It was a wonderful place to hang out, and everyone was very comfortable in this charming hideaway in a fabulous location in Austin. Highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a Place to stay that is in a great location and has room for six people.

Great Getaway

Visiting our daughter's family, this was a great place to start and end the day. Very spacious and with most of the comforts of home. Well located near downtown, parks and family.

Great location in Austin

We came to visit family and enjoy outdoor activities at Zilker Park. The location was perfect with lots of restaurants close by. Walking distance to coffee shops etc. Easy access to the airport but tucked in a wonderful quiet neighborhood.

Great location and perfect for families

We had a great stay! Very conveniently located near restaurants and grocery stores. Nice walkable neighborhood. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The host was fast to responded to any of our questions/requests.

Wonderful home and great location

what a comfortable home, and so close to everything. Loved the ability to walk around and see old homes, and the community of Austin. Home was fabulous also.

Great location and experience

This house is lovely top to bottom, comfortable and quiet but also really close to South Lamar and everything it has to offer. Communication with Portoro was on point too - we had a minor issue that needed fixing and someone was out to help within a few hours. Great experience all around.

Great home!

Beautifully appointed home in a great Austin neighborhood. Very stylish and modern interiors in a classic home. Roomy enough and very comfortable for our four guests. There's room for more if needed. Can highly recommend this home for rental.

Cute House, Great Location

The house was well decorated and roomy. Close to everything Austin has to offer. Check-in/Check out was easy and communication with Portoro was excellent. Groups should note that there is only one parking space (driveway) since the house sits on a "permit-parking only" street.

Quaint home with style, comfort and lots of space

We stayed in this house for a long overdue "Girl's Weekend" and the home did NOT disappoint. We loved the beds, overall space and style of the home. We walked to vintage stores and a couple of great restaurants. Great overall location! Very clean. Felt safe

Perfect House

We rented this house since we had family and friends a few blocks away. It was the perfect size for the 6 of us! The check in process was seamless and the check out process was even more seamless since I was so used to emptying trash cans and stripping beds etc. we literally didn’t have to do anything but lock the place up…def would recommend to anyone and we will be back!

Great house!

We loved our stay here. House is adorable and has plenty of space as we had 6 adults staying there. The only issue we encountered was the temp in the house. We were here at the end of August and it was incredibly hot in Austin. However, as soon as I notified the manager, they were right on it. They had really great response time and and sent maintenance out right away to rectify it. Would definitely recommend this house to friends/family and would stay here again.

No outside guests allowed

Our past VRBO stays in other states allowed hosting guests for dinner. Guidelines for Austin and this VRBO are very restrictive. No parties, gatherings or outside guests allowed other than the maximum 6 guests. There is a $250 fine for each person over the occupancy limit. Consider this when booking to make sure it meets your needs. The property itself is very nice.

Perfect respite

This beautifully appointed, immaculate home provided the perfect place to recuperate after a minor outpatient procedure. The neighborhood was quiet, convenient to the Westlake Medical facility, doctor's office, grocery store, and the airport. My husband never sleeps well away from home, but he thoroughly loved the mattress, linens, and pillows upstairs on the king bed...this a MAJOR compliment! The heat issue mentioned in other reviews has definitely been addressed as it was comfortably cool. I am totally envious of the walk-in closet downstairs! All the natural light and corner desk in the office were perfect for doing my jigsaw puzzle, played a few games of cornhole in the yard...so fun and relaxing! Check-in and check-out was easy and communication with Dustin at Portoro was excellent. We highly recommend this incredible home and would stay again without hesitation.

Great location but warm upstairs

Great location and close to everything downtown! Nicely decorated in mid-century modern. However the AC wasn’t working when we arrived and we had 3 days of 100 degree heat. The management had it fixed on the night of 2nd day but it doesn’t work well upstairs at all and had to buy 2 fans to help with airflow with the portable AC units they had in the two bedrooms. I asked for a refund for the first night because no one slept and it was 89 degrees upstairs. After several phone calls they finally agreed. This house would be much more comfortable in any weather below 85 and has a lovely front porch. It needs more than 2 rockers and it would be perfect!

This House is Worth the Trip

However long you’re planning to stay, double it. And invite a few more friends. I am a pretty fast-paced traveler, but I found myself wanting to linger and soak in the gorgeous and perfectly furnished space. We stayed with 3 adults and two kids and could easily have accommodated more. Every morning, I got up early and walked through beautiful residential streets to a nearby coffee shop and a nearby bakery and brought back goodies to enjoy on the breathtaking front porch. This 1909 midcentury modern home is a revelation, and it’s worth the trip (and a extra few nights). Beautiful and well stocked kitchen for cooking. High chair and pack and play for babies. Several living spaces. A beautiful cocktail cart that will make you want to enjoy the night in. Yard games. The only downsides: the upstairs AC had trouble keeping up (but they provided fans which helped a ton) and the beds aren’t as comfortable as you would hope. All in all, my favorite short term house rental I’ve ever experienced. I’ll be back.
