The Neighborhood:
Discover the best of northwestern Connecticut just beyond the doors of Lakeville Lodge. For great food and coffee, we love The Owl in New Preston, seasonal farm-to-table dining at Community Table in Washington, the globally inspired dishes at Meraki Food in Litchfield, and expertly crafted coffee at Krafted Brew Lab in Bantam.
Raise a glass at Kent Falls Brewing Co., known for its small-batch farmhouse ales, or sample award-winning spirits at Litchfield Distillery.
The region is made for outdoor adventure, ski or hike at Mohawk Mountain, explore the Appalachian Trail, wander the waterfalls of Kent Falls State Park, or cast a line with Housatonic River Outfitters. Families will enjoy the drive-through wildlife experience at Action Wildlife in Goshen.
For arts and culture, take in chamber music at Music Mountain, catch a show at Infinity Hall, or visit the iconic Cornwall Covered Bridge.
If you love to browse, don’t miss the beautifully curated shops of New Preston including Plain Goods, Privet House, and Pergola Home—along with George Home in Washington Depot, Milton Market in Litchfield, and the community-minded Warren General.
Getting Around:
Lakeville Lodge is just 2.5 hours from New York City. The main access routes are the NY-22 S, I-684 S, Taconic State Pkwy and I-87 S. We strongly recommend a 4x4 or a car with four-wheel drive, especially in winter, to handle snow and gravel roads.
Other Things to Note:
Guests are not permitted to park in the garage.
A/C: There are two split units: one in the living room and one in the primary bedroom.
