Hot Tub and Sauna Guidelines (Please Read!)

We want you to fully enjoy the hot tub, and these guidelines help ensure a safe, relaxing experience for everyone—including our full-time neighbors.

Quiet Hours: The hot tub may be used only between 7 AM and 10 PM, in accordance with City of San Diego regulations. Sound carries easily in the backyard, so thank you for helping us maintain a peaceful environment. Please note that noise complaints can result in city fines and immediate cancellation of your reservation without refund.

Shower First: Please take a quick rinse before entering. Sunscreen, lotions, oils, and sand can damage the water quality and the filtration system.

No Food, Drinks, or Glass: To keep the water clean and avoid difficult spills, food and beverages are not permitted in or near the hot tub.

Please do not unplug the jacuzzi, as it is designed to maintain a consistent water temperature. The temperature will be set to 100°F by default, and you may adjust it as needed. However, please note that because it is an electric jacuzzi, it may take some time to heat up after adjustments

Age Requirement: Children under 10 are not allowed in the hot tub at any time.

Cover & Jets: Please close the cover and turn off the jets after each use.

Safety: Use the hot tub at your own risk. Please exercise caution and good judgment.

We trust our guests to care for the space, but please be aware that:A minimum fee of $1,000 will apply if the hot tub must be drained and cleaned due to contamination (lotions, sand, drinks, etc.).

Guests are financially responsible for any noise violations during quiet hours.

This one-person sauna is a wonderful way to relax and unwind during your stay. Please do not unplug the unit, and make sure to dry off completely before entering. To use it, simply turn it on and set your desired temperature. The sauna typically takes about 15–20 minutes to fully heat up, after which you can enjoy a comfortable and relaxing experience. Please note that entering the sauna while wet may cause damage to the unit. Any damage resulting from improper use may be the guest’s responsibility to cover. We kindly ask that you ensure you are fully dry before entering.

Other important rules and regulations:

1. Smoking, drugs, and vape use is NOT allowed inside and outside the property. There is a $1,000 fine if discovered.

2. Parties are NOT allowed at this property, including loud music. Quiet Hours are 10PM - 8AM. If it is determined that guests are having a party/large gathering OR surrounding neighbors report a complaint and/or call police for disturbance, guest(s) will be asked to leave immediately without refund.

3. There's no daily housekeeping. For long-term stays (over 30 days), deep cleaning can be requested for $300 per cleaning. This process takes 2-3 hours, similar to checkout.

4. You will be charged twice the current price for any missing or damaged items including, but not limited to stained towels/sheets), as well as $200 USD for each lost, missing, or damaged remote.

5. Overnight guests that exceed the number stated in the reservation are NOT allowed. Children are considered guests that must be stated in the reservation. We do not allow visitors unless discussed and agreed upon prior to booking. Violation of this rule will result in a $200 penalty per person, per night. Guests to provide identification prior to arrival.

6. Pets are NOT allowed. Violation of this rule will result in a $500 penalty per pet, per night. Double cleaning fee will be applied.

7. We do NOT allow packages/mail to be sent to the address you're staying at. You may deliver items (Amazon) to the door, or to a local FedEx/UPS. We cannot help you to retrieve delivered or lost mail.

8. The following activities are prohibited without the written consent of the Host and will incur location fees: filming, professional photography, coordinated events or parties, miscellaneous commercial activities, music recording, or endeavors which typically incur a location expense beyond lodging. Please contact the Host for location fees.

9. Guests shall keep the property and all furnishings in good order. Household inventory and appliances shall be used conventionally and respectfully. Guests shall maintain a respectable level of cleanliness and tidiness in the home.

10. Unapproved late check-out will incur a fee of $100/hr. Checkout is at 11 AM.

11. There are 6 security cameras: 1 on the corner of the front of the home, the garage, the patio, the garden and 2 at the back of the house. None are facing inside the home. Blocking or disconnecting any of these devices will lead to immediate termination of your stay with no refund.

12. Host is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, illness, or deaths that occur while on the premises or its facilities. Host is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premises.

13. By booking, you agree to comply with the above Rules & Agreements. Guests who violate these rules are liable for any associated damages, fees, costs, or expenses, and may be removed from the property.

14. Respect the Neighborhood. This is a peaceful, residential area where neighbors live full time. We kindly ask that you keep noise to a minimum at all times. Parties and loud music are not permitted. Thank you for helping us maintain a respectful and enjoyable environment for everyone.
