Ranch Style, Private Home Near La Jolla Shores - Walk to dining, shops, beach

This single story home wraps around a large fenced in back yard encompassing 1/3 of an acre of lush, mature landscaping with big windows and high vaulted ceilings. Neighbors on only two sides of the property make it super private. We bought this house because we love the location. It's close enough to walk to the beach yet far enough away to avoid all the the beach traffic and noise. The location makes it easy to get in and out of La Jolla. There is a little bit of road noise from La Jolla parkway. The house is located on Ardath road, which is a dead end road, not a busy street. The home is set back far enough from the road to create a privacy barrier and block most of the sound.

Great experience at this ranch style house. Plenty of room for our family to spread out. The backyard was dog safe. It was about a mile walk to La Jolla Shores beach. We had so much fun.

This house served our multigenerational family well for our vacation. There was plenty of space to sleep and spread out. We utilized the large closet in the primary bedroom for our toddlers pack and play, which was a great sleeping setup for us. We enjoyed spending time in the backyard. The kitchen had all we need to prepare food (including a birthday cake!) the hosts were very responsive when we needed to communicate with them with questions about equipment and appliances. Great stay!

A 3 night quiet/relaxing place to celebrate my mother 80th birthday is what she was looking for.. and we found it. Susan home is beautiful and clean. Wasn’t difficult to find and enter. The huge window in living room with fireplace and view from patio is so relaxing at night. The home is very spacious and kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. It fits perfectly for families/friends and a pet. The doggy door was a plus.

Lovely home furnished with lovely antiques. Great location. Attention to detail with amenities galore. Had family stay with us. 6 adults and 2 kids, 1dog. Loved our stay in this beautiful home. House was exactly as described in the listing and worked perfectly for our family group. Lots of space with bedrooms a distance from family living area and kitchen which allowed everyone a good, uninterrupted sleep.Walking distance to beach was a huge plus.Great communication from hosts. Excellent parking. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Fantastic hideaway

Beautiful, eclectic property in a great location. The house has a ton of character that my wife and I would have loved alone, but also appealed to our kids. Couldn’t recommend it more!

The beach house was perfect for our family. Plenty of room to spread out and come together as a family. The backyard provided a large grass area for the boys to play volley ball and catch. The bedrooms were so comfortable, kitchen was stocked with all the essentials. A large TV in the family room also was great for movie nights. La Jolla Shores beach is close by with lifeguards for safe ocean swimming and restaurants with amazing offerings. Really enjoyed our 2 week vacation!

I'm a Cal Poly, SLO Graduate with a BS degree in Business Administration. I worked as a Wine Specialist for Gallo Wine Company and Young's Market Company before getting married and having two kids. I took some time off to raise my family, I work full time managing eight homes we own on Maui and one home inLa Jolla, CA.

My husband Troy and I started out with two vacation rentals in Mission Beach, San Diego, California in 1994. We have been in the Vacation Rental Industry for 27 years and understand what it takes to make guests happy and run a smooth operation.

My goal is to have you open the door, and go Wow, this place is amazing! I pay special attention to every detail: Interior design, furnishing, amenities, cleanliness, landscaping, kitchen supplies, and customer service.

I love staying in vacation rentals when we travel with the family on ski trips or abroad, but when I'm with my hubby on short business trips we stay at W Hotels. The W is my inspiration.

The home has been well maintained and recently has undergone external and internal upgrades. This is a beautiful and comfortable home where you can relax and enjoy your family, friends, and pets in a private setting. Enjoy the mix of coastal decor and French Antiques, hardwood flooring, spacious ceilings, and picture windows letting the outdoors in.
