You are provided with a start up of toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags. This is usually enough to get you through the 1st night of your stay. You are responsible for providing any extra items you may need for the remainder of your stay.
To ensure the highest standards of hygiene and food safety for every stay, we provide a fully equipped kitchen (pots, pans, and dinnerware) but do not stock shared pantry staples like oils or spices. We recommend bringing your favorite ingredients to tailor your meals exactly to your liking!
Ladybugs are protected in the Smokies, so pest control services are not an option. The National Park Service released millions of Asian lady beetles into the park to fight a tree-killing insect, so the Park Service won't allow spraying specifically for ladybugs. We often see them in the fall when we have cooler weather. They are attracted by the sun as they are looking for warmth.
I would highly recommend you consider purchasing travel insurance during the winter months. It is for your protection in the event of inclement weather and you are unable to travel. Please keep in mind the cabin is located within a mountainous area. During winter months, it is advised you drive 4WD or AWD in the event of inclement weather conditions.
